A Normal Life
In the kitchen Mia is unsure of what to cook so Lisa suggests ordering out. Mia at first is a little against the idea, after all, Sundays she always cooked, it was like tradition with her. But she has to admit she is exhausted and take out definitely sounds good right about now... She joins the girls in the kitchen as they wait for the food to arrive. The Guys stay outside playing with gas fueled mini-racers. Coco spots the guys and she calls for the girls to see their "˜grown men' playing like children.
"Look babe, my car is the fastest" Leon prides himself in saying.
"You wish" Dom says as he revs his little Viper passing Leon's Ferrari "Amateur" Dom pesters.
"Fascinating" Mia, says in a monotone voice. The food arrives and they all take seat Vince, Coco, Leon, Jesse and Lisa on the table, Letty and Oscar on the living room floor, Eva, Dom, Brian, Mia and Erica outside on the picnic table. There Eva informs Erica will be helping her at the store starting Tomorrow since she needs training and Mia is leaving to her honeymoon in a week. Erica is excited of working and earning a little extra cash in her pocket for the summer. Mini stays relatively quiet for the remainder of the evening.
"Oh my God I'm stuffed!" Erica lazily says as she stretches. Dom gets up to clean the table and Erica helps him. They go inside and Eva ceases the opportunity to talk to Mini.
"What's on your mind girl?" Eva asks putting the garbage in the trash can next to the garage.
"Everything" she contemplates the floor. "I told Vince I'm ... having an abortion" she's embarrassed and her voice tells on her.
"Oh Mini. Are you sure this is what you really want?" Eva sits next to her. Eva spots Dom coming out the back door but motions for him to stop. He turns around and pulls Erica with him going back inside.
"No. But Vince will never forgive me for lying to him. Getting rid of it is the best thing for everyone. After that I've decided I'm leaving." Her body language regains some courage.
"Leaving? You mean back home?" Eva backs away from her shocked "“ things are bad but not that bad.
"How can I stay here after that? Waking up everyday with that in my conscious and then to see his face knowing how much he hates me? I can't do it Eva... I can't. You better than anyone know I'm not fit to be a mother. What if I ..." she's pauses.
"Don't you dare say it. You are nothing like him honey. You can do this. No one is perfect Mini, not you, not I and certainly not Vince. You gain nothing from running away from your problems, because they will follow you wherever you go" Eva feels a little overwhelmed by everything that's going on with Mini and Vince.
"I made my decision" Mini adds
"Fine, but just remember this; don't try to fix a mistake by making another" with that Eva walks inside and Mini leaves without saying good bye. She's ruining her life and hurting all those around her. It seems like her life is ending right in front of her eyes. Why did she feel so guilty? "“ Why did she feel so lonely? She just wishes her pain would go away. If only she could go back and make it right. She wants her life back to normal.
