Race Wars and Romance
2 Months Later
"Dom, I don't know if I can do this." Lora muttered, taken back at all the vehicles that surrounded her.
Hundreds of people stood by their cars with their posses, dancing half naked. It was the party of a lifetime for street racers.
"It's just like the races on the street, Lora. Calm down." Dom assured quietly, reassuring her that she would win. "Jess! Get over here!" He yelled, walking away from Lora to find his mechanic.
Jesse looked up from his mustang slowly, his eyebrows creased in confusion. "This shit aint runnin', Jess. What's going on?" Vince yelled suddenly, coming towards him. "Yo, Jess! I need you over on this Eclipse, dawg!" Jesse took in a breath, becoming overwhelmed with everyone’s problems.
"Calm down, guys. Not everyone at once." Lora assured, stepping in and smiling at Jesse. She took his hand and walked back to their base, sitting down at a table. "You want something to drink?" She asked, opening the cooler.
"Yeah, Coke or something." He answered, running a hand over his face.
"Are you alright?" Lora frowned, sitting his soda in front of him.
"I don't know." He wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his head on her stomach as she slid her arms around his neck, holding him against her.
"Talk to me, Jesse." She pleaded, running her fingers through his hair.
"Last time I was here.." Jesse started, looking up at his girlfriend. "I raced Dom's rival and lost my dad's car.. I panicked and ran away.. Tran came to Dom's house and shot it up.. god I could have got him or Brian or Mia killed..." His voice was barley a whisper now as he relived the events of last years Race Wars.
Lora knelt down in front of Jesse slowly, looking up into his eyes. "Baby, that's over now." She whispered, caressing his face as he leaned into her. "Nothing's going to happen this time.. we'll watch out for each other.."
Jesse smiled down at her, "I love you." He murmured, kissing her lips softly. Lora smiled against his lips, "I love you too." "Jess!" Vince yelled, raising his hands in confusion. With a sigh, he stood to his feet and brushed his fingers throLoraLora's hair.
"Be Safe."

Lora clutched the steering wheel of the Eclipse tightly, turning herd tod to look at the person she was racing. A smooth talking Mexican man licked his lips at her,
"Yo chica. What's your name? You can call me Papi. We got 5G on this race but if I win I'll give it all to you for that sweet ass."
Ignoring him, Lora turned back to the track in front of her, taking in a deep breath. Dom stood with Mia and Jesse at the finish line, waiting for her. Waiting for her to win.
"Fuck." She muttered, swallowing down her nervousness as she looked at Jesse. She would win for him and no one else.
"Alright, let's race!" A man wearing a t-shirt that said 'Race Wars' stood between the two cars, holding his arms up over his head. "GO!"
Lora shifted into fifth gear and took off down the track, a second behind the black Neon beside her.
"Woo!"
The Mexican yelled, speeding down the track. Lora kept her eyes on Jesse, who was cheering her on. That's when she hit her NoS button, blowing the Neon away. In less than ten seconds she had flew past the finish line, winning the race.
Mia and Jesse jumped up and down, hugging each other and yelling at the top of their lungs.
She parked her car and leaped out, nearly falling as she ran towards Jesse. He scooped her up in his arms and spun her around, hugging her tightly.
"You did it! I knew you'd win!" Mia yelled, hugging Lora tightly.
Vince, Letty and Leon kept cheering from their spots in line, waving and congratulating her loudly.
Jesse sat Lora down gently as Dom walked over, a calm look on his face. She stood in front of him, waiting for his praise or criticism.
After a moment of silence, Dom smiled and pulled her into a hug. "You're a part of the team now." He assured, smiling down at her.
Lora smiled, turning towards Jesse and hugging him again. It had been so long since she felt this happy.
