Unification Part Fifteen
Part Fifteen
They walked from the chamber, sated and glowing with their connection. Liza was holding a silver robe for Galaxa and Joss one for Geo. They slipped them on, pulling the hoods up. Drawing her own hood, Liza followed them toward the large chamber, following the light given by small pots of flame illuminating the dark hallway.
One by one, single file, the Six took their places around the circle cast in the center of the room. A large hand painted medallion on the center of the floor bore a six threaded knot, each thread of it a different color, representing a different energy bound together in as one, inseparable. The knot depended on each strand for identity, and was such that it could not be torn asunder.
A warm orange glow enveloped the room, the living manifestation of the flickering torchlight that hungrily licked at the ancient stone walls of the sacred sanctuary. A large altar held sway on the north side of the room, pure white linens draped over its length. Six jeweled chalices, each full of a colored ink sat upon it, along side six shining saber hilts, six platinum athames, and six clear, icy crystals, burning with a pure white fire.
Anakin crossed the room and with the help of Geo and Joss, had brought the sacred items to the center of the six-pointed circle, placing them on the center of the large medallion and then rejoined their mates at the perimeter of the circle. Anakin stood at the northern most point, flanked by Acaciah, Joss, Liza, Geo and then Gal, completing the circle.
The Six joined hands. “By the will of the Force, the Chosen Six have gathered” Anakin stated. “Today we gather to celebrate, in Darkness and in Light, in balance with the Living Force.”
A slight rush of air entered the chamber, both cold and hot at the same time. Galaxa felt the Entrance, her empathetic link highly sensitive since her initiation. As if she had always known the words, Galaxa began to chant, her alto voice soon joined by Liza’s contralto and then Acaciah’s soprano. Their voices hung on the air as if suspended as the gentle whirlwind swirled around them, taking on the form of golden dust as it tufted around their feet. It glittered as it spun, weaving wondrous patterns as it rose and collected in the center of the circle.
“We Six are a family, a knot that cannot be undone,” Anakin began.
The six removed their cloaks, letting them puddle on the floor, the men standing bare-chested. Each took their athame from out of the golden whirlwind and cut their forearms, letting the blood drip into their respective chalice of colored ink, and then passing it to their left so that each chalice held the combined blood of them all. When they were finished, Anakin stepped forward. “This thread of red is my commitment to us all,” he said, first marking himself above his heart, and then turning to each member of the six, marking them all.
Acaciah took hers next, and recited, “We Six are the knot that cannot be unraveled. Take this thread of violet as my dedication to our family,” she gave each member her mark in turn.
Joss took the chalice next. “The Union of Six may never be severed. Add this thread of silver to the knot that never unravels.”
He passed the chalice to Liza. “Let this Unity of Six be eternal. I commit this thread of gold to us all,” she said, adding her golden thread to each shoulder, above the heart.
Now Geo took the chalice. “To our Union of Six, may it be infinite. I dedicate my thread of blue to this family.”
Finally, Galaxa took the chalice. “We Six are intertwined. Accept this thread of green as you have accepted me into this family.”
In a flash of blinding light, the Force struck each of them. Six bolts reached out from the golden cloud and electrified them with a new mark, a black line- the absence of all color- outlining each knot. The six stumbled backwards with the energy, falling to the floor and losing consciousness.

Galaxa opened her eyes, now clouded a deep jade, and looked upon the others. She saw Anakin, his eyes blazing a deep fiery cobalt blue as he passed out the crystals, reaching into the still whirling funnel of golden dust. Acaciah’s eyes glowed dark emerald; Joss’ gleaming molten silver and Liza’s shining a deep indigo as they took theirs and inserted them into the new double-edged saber hilt. Galaxa looked at Geo to her right, a black fire in his eyes, also putting the crystals into his double-edged blade. Galaxa took hers as Anakin came to her last, and began to mantle her own double-edged saber.
They took the pure white sabers and ignited them, pointing them to the center of the circle.
“In the Light and in the Darkness and the Living Force…” Anakin began.
“As we will it, so shall it be!” they recited together.

At the Jedi temple, a rolling thunder intruded on the Council room.
Master Yoda sighed deeply, his brow furrowing with regret and concentration. As the High Ten began to murmur, he sat back and closed his eyes….
The Dark Woman smiled wanly.
