Just saw PotC for the fourth time... Gods, I love Jack's smile at the end...

Pookie: Heehee, glad you liked it. :D

Datiye: Heehee, never said Jack meant to teach Will ~not~ to do it.

Sandrine Black: Both get out alive. ;) But I'm not too sure about later on. *Zips mouth before giving away the ending*

Jade: Heehee, some nice suggestions. But I've got the end planned.

Mel: Well, here's another update.

Madoushi Clef: Hmmm... Jack uses a lot of proper english in the movie, it's just his accent that throws it off. I really made Will still adjusting, but I have a few smaller fics planned for after this, unless I can put them all into a common thread; think of this as a prologue to a much larger work. By the time I get te nee next one, Will will be more confident. He did have his weapon out. ;) But all warriors get caught off guard, mate. Happy ending, I'm just putting the characters through hell first. Mm, no Pacific, far too little land to anchor at, and far too many storms. More here. Thanks!

Nita: 'Brilliant thinker', deffinately not. I think Anamaria's learnt her lesson for the time being. Parrot still lives, I just want to think of a way to kill off the creepy monkey... Hmmm....

Will was vaguely aware of two hands moving through his hair when he started to wake. He shifted slightly before feeling Jack pull him back.

"What are you doing?" Will muttered.

"Admirin'," Jack muttered. "How ya doin'?"

"Tired," Will said. "And sore..."

Jack chuckled, "Learn your lesson?"

"Would that be to respect you? Or to continue my oersiersion of your games?"

"I could go either way."

The younger man shifted again, feeling Jack tighten his hold. Will rested against Jack's chest, remembering that the older man had untied the ropes during the night.

"You still need to tell me how you met my father," Will muttered.

"An' you still have to tell me how you got off the Interceptor."

Will grinned, glancing at the cabin's window. The grey of dawn was just starting. "You first."

Sighing, Jack shifted enough so he could see Will's eyes. He could see the serious desire behind the request. "You really want to know, love?"

"Yes."

Jack nodded.

~*Thirteen Years Ago*~

Jack grinned as he fininshed tying off a thin cloth on his arm, glancing at the crew of the captured merchant ship. Barbossa had the twenty-some-odd men under control at the point of his sword.

"Best thing would be ta kill th' lot o' them, Cap'n," Barbossa said as Jack came up. "Burn th' ship after gettin' our swag."

"Noted suggestion, Barbossa," Jack said, looking the crew of British men over. Only one seemed ready to fight again. "Gotta name?"

The man remained silent, glaring. Jack idly noted the deep brown colour, a match for the man's hair. Ignoring the rest of his own crew, and the look that promised death, Jack placed a hand on the man's shoulder. "Come now, mate. Not doin' yourself good by not playin' a." ."

"It's William. William Turner, you bastard."

"Now that wasn't so hard, now was it?" Jack grinned. "Too bad you signed onto this ship, Bill. A pity, really. You have a good sword arm."

Barbossa growled, "Cap'n."

Jack stepped back and looked the captive crew over again. "A propostion, gentlemen. Those of you willing to live, join my humble little crew. No loss to me, but much profit for you."

The Pearl's crew was staring at Jack in disbelief. The British merchants remained silent. Just as Jack was about to give Barbossa the ordo kio kill off the crew, a voice piped up.

"I will."

The merchant captain stared at his former crew member, "Turner? Mutinous..."

Jack gave the signal for Turner's bonds to be cut and the man rubbed his wrists. "Sorry, Marks. I have others to think of first."

"Noble cause," Jack said. "And who might these others be?"

Jack slung an arm over Turner's shoulders, leading the man away as he gave Barbossa leave to do what he wished.

"Oh, no reason to fret, mate," Jack assured after seeing Turner's unease. "You're part o' the crew. An' we all got reason t' be out here. Me, I'm here for the freedom. Fresh winds, ports, all a man needs. You have a reason too, these 'others', I'm thinkin'."

Turner hesitated, "I have a son."

"Really now? Suppose he's a fine boy."

"He is."

"Well, pleasantries aside. I'm Captain Jacarroarrow. And you've just joined up with the Black Pearl."

Wiil frowned, "That was it?"

"Yep."

"No intrigue? No daring fights?"

Jack thought, "No, not really."

"Boring."

"You asked."

Sighing, the younger man settled against Jack's chest. The captain smiled, "You're turn, love. How'd you get off the Interceptor?"

"I swam."

"I know that. But even I saw that you were trapped inside."

Will grinned and sat up, getting out of bed and searching for his clothes. Jack sat up, frowning at the lack of response.

"I'll go get the crew up," Will said as he left.

"Bloody whelp," Jack muttered, gathering his clothes.

Mmmm...All for now. Too tired to write more. I know how it ends now, and I have a few smaller ideas to continue.

I also just got this weird AU idea where Will had been found by a slaver's ship rather than Norrington's (at the beginning). And later, Jack finds the slave in Tortuga (but he still has the Pearl with the preferred crew[A.K.A the new crew]). Maybe I'll try that later...

And I'm always looking for someone to bounce ideas off of, helps clear my head and gets me writing. So, if anyone that wants to okay ideas, act as a temporary muse, and basically be tortured by my developing plot ideas, feel free to talk to me through MSN Messenger. Actually, I extend this to Nita, love to talk to you through that if you can! General note, I'm on anytime afte30 p30 pm every night (That's Eastern Canadian... uhm... situated through Montreal, if that helps.)
