Olympias was shocked. Never before had her son kicked her out of his rooms. She decided to find Hephaistion before Alexander spoke to him and get this mess all sorted out before her son kicks her out of Babylon.
Hephaistion was fuming. He knocked down and broke every ornament he encountered in his path was pacing about the palace grounds. Why would Alexander ever think of doing something so drastic behind his back! The love he had for Alexander quickly vanished the moment he saw him in his room after discovering this dark secret. He wanted to kill him. He wanted to kill him and his mother!
He yelled at the top of his lungs.
“I must get out of here,” he whispered to himself after yelling so loudly.
“Hephaistion!”
Hephaistion recognized that voice instantly. He slowly turned around and met her scrutinizing gaze with rebellion in his eye.
“Hephaistion! You have go back to Alexander and apologize for whatever you did wrong. I am not going to stand by idly and watch my relationship with my own son ruin because of you,” she yelled with fury.
“I? What I did wrong? Woman, you are insane,” Hephaistion replied with a icy tone, careful not to get too close to her, for her snake was starting to unwind itself from her arm.
“Insane,” she laughed with delight, “Careful with your words Hephaistion.”
“Or what Olympias? Give me another potion,” he replied with a snap.
Olympias’ smiled faded from her lips.
“All you wanted to do from the moment you saw me was to confine me to a life you never had! No potion can save you from your delusions so you create one for someone else. I am not going to be that person anymore. You wanted a grandson, you have your grandson! Now leave me be,” he yelled before turning away from her and walking down the hall.
Olympias stood there dumbfounded. She couldn’t believe it, she always knew what to say.

Hephaistion finally made it back to his room after a night of rampage. He found Alexander sleeping on the bed with his brows knitted together. Hephaistion also noted the fresh bruises forming on his face. ‘Good,’ he thought, ‘he deserves so much more pain than that.’
Hephaistion quietly gathered his things. He was going to leave this wretched place and go back to Macedonia. Back to Cleitus.
“What are you doing,” Alexander’s voice exclaimed.
“Leaving,” Hephaistion responded without even looking up.
Alexander jolted from the bed and took Hephaistion’s bag away.
“No.”
“Yes. I am leaving.”
“Why,” Alexander questioned, searching for Hephaistion’s eyes.
“You lied to me,” Hephaistion yelled starring directly into Alexander’s eyes.
“What?”
“This, you lied about all of this,” he said while pointing to himself.
“I don’t know what you are talking about,” Alexander responded calmly.
“Don’t play stupid with me Alexander. I know about that damn potion.”
Silence.
“You have what you want, an Heir. Now I’m leaving.”
“No, you can’t. I need you. You can’t leave me,” Alexander pleaded.
“Your pleads fall upon deaf ears Alexander. You expect me to stay with you after what you’ve done to me. You went behind my back, did something that changed me drastically, and lied to me the whole time! Do you expect my love for you to stay after such things?”
“Hephaistion! I did it for us! So we could have a family! So we would have a legacy!”
“You could of asked me Alexander, you could of asked. For gods sake why did you do this behind my back. You have your legacy with Teodor. Enjoy your lasting legacy,” Hephaistion said while walking towards the door.
“No, I can’t let you go. You cannot leave me. You will not leave me,” Alexander yelled with fury and went after Hephaistion, tackling him to the ground.
“You play with fire Alexander. I hate you,” Hephaistion yelled.
The door suddenly swung open and Olympias stood in the doorway with a snake in her hand.
“Hold him down Alexander,” she said calmly.
Alexander did what he was told and held Hephaistion firmly on the ground.
“Witch! Gods! I HATE YOU BOTH!”
Olympias kneeled before Hephaistion letting the snake bite his neck.
Suddenly Hephaistion’s eyes felt heavy and his speech was slurred.
“I hate…”
Alexander finally let Hephaistion out of his grasps.
“Thank you mother,” he said softly.
“He will be out for a couple of days Alexander. Including the day he is in his cycle. I really do suggest you impregnate him, it will limit his mobility.”
“Yes mother.”
“I also suggest you tie him up, he will be in a foul mood when he awakens.”
