“We tear each other limb from limb, in the name of love, in the name of god…”

Chapter XVIII

Martha and Cindy made their way though the seedier side of Coruscant and hit every watering hole they could find. Settling down to listen to a fairly good band and enjoying stout drinks, they finally picked a spot to stay at for a while. Martha wasn’t blind running drunk, but she was not feeling any pain either. Getting up on the stage with the band, Martha swayed and danced along with them. Cindy howled and whistled at her, laughing as she saw her friend stumble a few times.

A group of storm troopers entered the bar and caught Cindy’s full attention. She saw one of them look in her direction and nudge the trooper beside him. They nodded and walked over to her. “You need to come with us, my lady.”

Cindy grinned and waved to Martha. “Alright boys, but be gentle with me.”

Martha laughed at her friend and jumped off the stage, stumbling slightly as she made her way over to Cindy. Hugging Cindy tightly, she said with slurred words, “Ya’ll have fun. And be careful.”

Cindy smiled and wrapped her arm around one of the troopers. “I’m sure I will.”

Martha turned and watched Cindy leave, grabbing her drink and gulping loudly. “You may want to slow down, my lady,” a voice boomed behind her. Turning, she looked into the face of Mace Windu and instantly felt the rage bubbling up inside her.

“Fuck you Jedi!” Martha spat out and waved down the waiter.

“Now, my lady, there’s no need for that,” Mace replied, a cocky smile on his face.

Martha spun around, wobbly, placed her hands on her hips, and unloaded on him. “You can take your shitty attitude and go fuck yourself. I never wanted to see you again, you fuckin’ prick. Leave me alone.”

Mace chuckled, which just served to piss Martha off even more. Reaching out, he took hold of her arm and pulled her to him. “I think you’ve had enough, my lady. Let me escort you home.”

Clenching her teeth, her jaw set, Martha glared at him. “I ain’t yo lady, you cocksucker. And I’ll decide when I’m gonna go home, not you, jackass.”

Trying to reach inside her mind, Mace found it was completely block from his view. He was not sure if it was the drinks or her anger that impeded his progress. Deciding to switch tactics, he leaned in close and whispered in her ear. “I only wanted to give you a going away present.” His words were sweet and dripped with sensual suggestions.

Martha tried to focus on him, but found it hard to see just one. The arm on her shoulder felt so good, but she didn’t really want to give in. If she were going to allow him to take her home, he would have to earn that privilege. “A present?” Martha asked as she softened slightly under his touch.

Sniggering, Mace blew into her ear. “I can not give you this present here. Let me take you home.”

Her wobbly knees almost gave way, but Martha caught herself and stood up tall. She knew he was up to something but she just couldn’t put her finger on what. Grabbing her purse, she looked at Mace and said, “Your place would be better. Mine is a right bit crazy right now.”

His eyebrows went up, she would not take him to Vader’s castle but at least he would get to taste the pleasures of her flesh once more. Even though Mace knew he should not accept this turn of events, his will was weak toward this woman. Holding out his arm to Martha, he said, “Very well. This way.”

The troopers escorted Cindy out of the club and into a waiting speeder. Cindy snuggled down against one of the troopers as they sped across the city to the Imperial Palace. Realizing a bit too late she was in the wrong place, Cindy looked into the mask of one of the troopers. “Ya’ll ain’t Vader’s boys are ya?”

They both shook their heads no and grabbed her roughly by the arm, almost dragging her out of the speeder. Cindy felt tears welling up in her eyes as they took her inside the palace. Leading her down the white and black durasteel hallways, Cindy felt a sense of gloom. No, not gloom. It was…evil. Turning to face a large black door, one of the troopers hit the com panel and the door whooshed open.

Entering the room, Cindy took notice of the nice adornments and her eyes fell upon a chair in the middle of the room. “Come closer, my dear,” an old voice cackled, sending shivers down her spine. As the chair spun around, Cindy bit down on her fist to stifle the scream that wanted to escape. The figure in the chair was an older man, terribly disfigured, with sickly yellow glowing eyes.

Waving his hand at her, Cindy felt compelled to walk closer to him. Her eyes were wide with fear and her body shook uncontrollably as she approached him.

“I must ask you about your…friends.” The old man hissed out the last word, which seemed to stick in his throat.

“F…f…friends?” Cindy stuttered as she sat down on the step close to his chair.

He glared at her and licked his lips as he looked down on her young body. “Yes. There is one that seems to be quite a distraction to Lord Vader. I must know more about her.”

Cindy lowered her head, trying not to look at his face. “I don’t know who you’re talkin’ about.”

Hearing him hiss, Cindy felt herself stand up, although it was not of her own accord. “Do not play games with me, girl.”

Feeling herself slip out of her body, Cindy fell into a pile at his feet as she passed out cold.

Vader stood up, grabbed his pants, and searched for his belt. Renee asked, “And who is he?”

Glaring at her, his lips quivering, teeth clenched, holding his light saber firmly in his hand, he hissed, “Obi-wan.”

Renee sat up on her knees and gasped. “Oh fuck! How did he get here?”

Vader went to the door and growled back at her before he left. “Stay here!”

Flying downstairs, he searched for Obi-wan.

Releasing the bonds on Bonnie’s ankles and wrists, Obi-wan looked over his shoulder. Bonnie looked at him with question marks in her eyes. “What is it baby?” She cooed at him.

He reached for his pants. As he slipped them on, he turned to Bonnie. “Vader.”

Bonnie stared in disbelief. She knew it was risky bringing him here but she forgot about Vader’s ability to sense his former master.

Obi-wan’s saber flew to his hand and he went for the door. Bonnie stopped him in mid stride. “Leave the castle. He’ll never know you were here.”

Snorting, Obi-wan replied, “He already knows, love.”

He kissed Bonnie on the forehead and opened the door. He could feel the Sith Lord’s anger and turned down the hallway to meet him.

Vader stopped in the middle of the hallway, his eyes locked on Obi-wan’s. “You have no business here, Jedi,” Vader hissed as he stomped toward him, igniting his red saber.

Cocking his head, his stance set, his saber ignited, Obi-wan replied, “None the less I am here, Anakin.”

His rage threatened to overtake him and Vader’s eyes glowed yellow. “That name no longer has meaning to me,” he growled, raising his light saber to strike.

Obi-wan shifted and brought his saber to parry Vader’s hard blow. The battle was now on. Obi-wan pushed back Vader’s saber and spun around out of its range, slashing at his former student as he passed. Vader blocked Obi-wan’s strike, saving his leg but giving the Jedi time to speed down the hall. Cursing, Vader ran after him. Reaching out with the Force, Vader lifted a nearby statue and sent it flying toward Obi-wan. The Jedi dove and slid under it, slicing it in two with his light saber. The two pieces tumbled back down the hall as Obi-wan got to his feet, but Vader wove between them. He brought his saber down against Obi-wan, who barely parried with his own light saber.

Sith Lord and Jedi danced against each other in the wide corridor. The energy of their sabers arcing and sparking with each hit against each other, the sounds of them grunting, straining against every move the other made echoed down the halls. The two former friends were fighting as if this was the bitter end, and for both of them it was.

Slowly, subtly, Vader drove Obi-wan into an alcove. Smiling he said, “Trapped now, ex-master.” Obi-wan glanced at the walls around him, then smiled back. “Not so – Anakin.” Feigning a light saber strike, Obi-wan kicked hard against Vader’s chest, sending Vader flying backwards while Obi-wan used him like a ramp. The Jedi jumped from Vader’s chest to a low hanging chandelier. Vader shook his head clear, reached out with the Force and pulled the entire light fixture down. Obi-wan jumped free before it crashed to the marble floor, then sped into the next corridor.

Bonnie had moved from the dungeon doorway, trying to keep up with the two men locked in a heated struggle. As dangerous as it all was, it didn’t escape her attention that both of them were naked to the waist. Their strong lean bodies in the throws of battle, twisting and flexing with every move, muscles rippling under smooth skin, the sight astounded her. If it weren’t for the ultimate end, this fight would surely be a beautiful picture.

Renee heard the noises from downstairs and could not stand idly by as Vader fought for his life. She reached into the dresser and retrieved a blaster she had found on one of her excursions in the castle. Gathering up Vader’s black robe, she covered herself, grabbed the blaster and crept out of the door.

Vader had caught up with Obi-wan in the main atrium. Their sabers clashed against each other, lighting the large room with a blue and red glow. Renee gasped as she saw Vader. He was a beautiful but deadly vision. Vader tensed when he felt Renee and it threw off his footing. He stumbled and dropped his saber. Obi-wan called Vader’s saber to him and held them both as he stalked toward Vader. As Obi-wan wielded his saber in an obvious attempt to sever Vader’s head, Renee took aim and shot at his feet.

“STOP IT!” Renee yelled as she walked down the stairs, her aim still on Obi-wan. Vader looked surprised and angry, yet he felt a sense of pride as his belle defended him. Renee saw Bonnie run up and stand behind Obi-wan. Bonnie gasped as she looked at Renee; her eyes were burning the same yellow as Vader’s. Clenching her jaw, her teeth bared, Renee growled. “YOU. How could you bring him here? You little BITCH!”

Stunned by her friend’s attitude, Bonnie could not believe she was picking a fight with her. But she was never one to back down. Vader moved toward Renee, but she shoved the blaster into his hands and marched to stand in front of Bonnie. “You’ve got some fuckin’ nerve. After all he’s done for us you betray him.”

Bonnie got right up in Renee’s face, although she had to stand on her tiptoes to do so. “Like I knew this would be a problem.”

Balling her fists at her side, Renee howled, “A problem? Yeah, it’s a BIG fuckin’ problem. If ya would’ve gotten your head outta your ass and from between his legs you would’ve seen it. I want both of you out of here NOW!”

“Fuck you bitch. I ain’t leavin’,” Bonnie spat back, her hands clenching at her sides. Vader and Obi-wan were speechless. Vader kept his guard up and the blaster aimed at Obi-wan, who maintained a firm grip on both light sabers, but their attention was now on the girls.

“The hell you ain’t!” Renee swung and connected with Bonnie’s jaw, causing her to stumble back a few paces.

Wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth, Bonnie glared at Renee, “Oh, it’s on now, bitch.” Bonnie lunged at Renee and hit her hard in the stomach. Renee rolled back and hit Bonnie twice in the gut, doubling her over in pain. Looking over Bonnie, Renee glared at Obi-Wan. “You need to leave now and take that bitch with you.”

Obi-wan was speechless; his only reply a nod. Renee turned her back to Bonnie, but Bonnie was not going to let this go easily and she tackled Renee, throwing her to the floor. Renee’s head hit the floor with a resounding thud; Bonnie grabbed her hair and banged her head against the tile floor. Renee managed to turn over and dot Bonnie’s eye as she kicked her off her, causing Bonnie to fall backwards.

Obi-wan reached down and held Bonnie firmly as Vader tried to hold onto Renee. “Get outta here. I never want to see you again!” Renee hissed at Bonnie.

“Fine bitch. But you’ll regret this,” Bonnie growled as Obi-wan dragged her to the front door.

When Vader heard the door shut, he released Renee. She paced in front of him, still seething. “How could she? She was my oldest friend.” Renee turned to look at Vader, her eyes welling up with tears.

Vader took her in his arms and wiped her tears away, looking at the bruises already appearing on her pale skin. “Betrayal by an old friend is the hardest thing to come to grips with, my belle.”
