Complicated
Chapter 2: Complicated
Dom heads to the garage and Eva to the store. Once she gets there Mia gives her a shrewd look.
“Sorry I’m late I had to uhm, well Dom was...” she tries to explain.
“Yeah, I know a quickie right!” Mia smiles at her best friend. They had grown a lot in the past year, and she was grateful to have her as a friend. She’s also grateful that her brother was happy, almost as happy as her and Brian.
“So are the girls coming with us after work?” Mia asks, while she’s preparing some salads.
“I know that Coco and Lisa are coming, Mini I’m not so sure about, she’s been acting really weird lately” Eva’s checking inventory.
“What do you mean acting funny?” Mia looks up from what she’s doing.
“Well, she’s seems distant lately, like I don’t know. Whenever I ask her to hang out with us she makes up an excuse that she has to do something or be somewhere”
“Now that you mention that Brian told me that Vince was saying something about them arguing all the time lately. Maybe we should talk to her, see what’s wrong” Eva nods her head in agreement, something was definitely bothering their friend and they were going to help.
****************************AT THE GARAGE***********************
Dom walks in the garage and there are already about 4 cars being worked on.
“Glad you could make it” Letty says as she walks passed him.
“I had to take care of something” he can’t take the smile of his face. Leon, smiles back at him knowing what he had been up to. Vince looks tired and angry, he’s putting a kit on a civic and keeps banging on the panel. Dom goes in his office and takes out two Coronas, walks back to Vince and hands him one.
“Wanna talk about it?” Dom leans on the car. Vince stops what he’s doing and stands up opening the bottle with his key opener.
“It’s Mini bro. I don’t know what the hell I’m doing wrong, I treat this girl good man, whatever she asks for I give it to her. I hardly ever go out anymore, because I want to spend my time with her, but she keeps pushing me away. I don’t know what to do” he obviously needed to get that off his chest, his body immediately relaxes.
“I wouldn’t worry about it, just give her time” Dom takes a swig.
“Yeah, that’s easy for you to say, you and Eva never argue” he leans back down and continues to work on the car.
Dom smiles to him self; relationships are complicated.
