Roses Blood Red
Chapter 1- Roses Blood Red
Her blood was draining from her body and into a pool next to her head on the floor. Dracula had dropped her, and Van Helsing just missed her for as he swung down to grab her, her legs gave way. She could hear Dracula taunting her Gabriel. She heard the swarms of vampires as their master Dracula sent them after his greatest enemy. She prayed someone, anyone, would see her laying there and help her but no one came. As she began to battle unconciousness, she felt herself be lifted into a pair of strong arms. For a few seconds she fought open her eyes and saw her enemy's face close to her own. She ed ted to struggle, but, too soon her eyes won the war and they closed. Suddenly everything became cold and it didn't matter any longer who was holding her. She tried desperately to get closer to his body so that she could be warm; but vampires have no heartbeats, their bodies neither warm nor cool. With a shudder she passed into the darkness.
Dracula felt her try to get closer to him. He knew it was cold, but he couldn't feel it. He had her and he could hardly believe it. His vengance was complete and now he could live out the rest of eternity with the knowledge that he owned the last of the Valerious line. Owned and used, frequently for as he looked down at the woman cradled in his arms he knew she would soon become the most beloved of his brides. Chuckling softly he carried her into an empty bedroom and laid her gently on the bed. He smoothed the tendrils of hair that had come loose back away from her face, removed her earrings, released all of her hair, and then set to work loosening her corset. Her breathing had become shallow and rapid, and laying a hand on her breast he listened to her heartbeat. She was dying, he was satisfied. With a pleased sigh he walked over to a wine cabinent in the corner of the room and poured her a glass of his finest blood(not only his finest but also his-bottled from the dripping of his body when Gabriel had murdered him). Kneeling next to her on the bed, he cradled her body against his and supported her head as he coaxed her dying body into drinking. She gagged twice before she finished the whole glass and he soothed and calmed her until she was through. Her body began to convulse and Dracula lowered their bodies to bed and held her all through the night. He laughed when her breathing stopped, for that was the night that Anna Valerious died and Vladislaus Dracula lived
