Chapter 2
The Finding of the Swords

Even as Arthur and the others headed to the archeological site he kept thinking about Lance Wolfram. He was very handsome with beautiful eyes. Gallad and Wayne exchanged amused looks, they thought it was cute the way Arthur was acting.

When Arthur’s eyes fell upon the castle ruins he was struck with the sense of having been there before. In his minds eyes he saw it, how it looked years and years ago.

“Amazing isn’t it?”

“Yes it is, thank you for calling be about this”

“Anytime now lets get digging”

Then the men went to their own section of the castle ruins to examine and carefully dig at their chosen site. Arthur found a way inside that was not blocked off when he would haallealled the others he found that something inside him was telling him to go in.

Arthur walked avoiding damaged areas when he encountered them. He knew this place…he had been here before he knew he had. He followed the corridor and entered a room it was spacious and he could see where the bed and other things would have been but that was when he saw some stones that did not match the rest of the floor.

Carefully he maneuvered the stones out of the way and their was something wrapped in cloth. Reaching down he pulled out the cloth wrapped item and set it down gently. Moving slowly he un-wrapped the bundle and there before him were two identical swords in their scabbards. He knew these swords they were Lancelot’s…wait how did he know that? More importantly how had he known where he was going.

Wait there was something else… it looked like a necklace or pendent. With a confused look on his face he saw that there was something that looked like a lion on a very old piece of cloth used as a chain.

Lance Wolfram found himself thinking about Arthur O’Shay, he had a distracted look in his face as he entered the police station he was working the late shift. He headed to his little office and waiting for him like normal was his partner Dag.

Dag wasn’t much on words, Lance respected that some people thought that Dag was all brawn no brain but Lance knew otherwise. He was a kind and gentle person who yes was a strong guy, but he was also very intelligent.

“Hey Dag” Lance said as he sat down.

“Lance”

“So what does old Boris have for us” Lance asked referring to the police chief. He was a family man, quite literally actually he had eleven kids. But he is a good father and chief of police.

“He wants us to head down to the museum they are getting some new items in and they want extra protection”

“Oh joy well just let me grab some coffee then we can go” Dag nodded. After grabbing a cup the two officers went out to their car and headed to the museum. Lance smiled when they went inside there was a good friend of his doing a painting.

Mind you he was a very good artist he just wasn’t well known. Lance had told the head of the museum about Tristan because they were looking for an artist for something.

“Tristan” Lance called out and the man in question stopped what he was doing and looked up. He didn’t show any emotion but that was normal for him he was not a very social person.

“Lance”

“So is everything working out?”

Tristan nodded. “Yes, thank you for doing this”

“No problem I would have kept buying your paintings myself but I was beginning to run out of room in my flat.” he didn’t mention that his now ex-wife Gwen had practically forbad him from buying anymore. She claimed that he was spending to much money on the paintings. They both knew that was a lie she didn’t want him buying anymore paintings because he enjoyed them.

Tristan nodded returning to his painting. Lance just smiled and shook his head. He and Dag headed to the head of the museum’s office and were told that the new items would be arriving any minute.

Lance and Dag stood waiting for the new artifacts to arrive when they did Lance was greeted by the sight of Arthur O’Shay.

Lance and Arthur to quote their friends were grinning like idiots when they saw each other. “Mr. O’Shay it is a pleasure to see you again.”

“Yes, it is Mr. Wolfram”

“Please call me Lance”

“Call me Arthur then” Dag nudged Lance.

“Sorry man, Arthur this is my partner Dag”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Dag, allow me to introduce you to two of my friends. This is Gallad and Wayne.”

“It’s a pleasure” They both replied.

“Likewise, so are all three of you archeologists then”

“Well sort of Gallad and Wayne are, I’m a not so serious one who teaches Medieval History back in the states.”

“You’re a teacher?, hmm I can believe that, you strike me as a teacher”

“And what does that mean?”

“Exactly that you have this aura around you. You strike me as someone who could lead many”

“What like a solder”

“Perhaps” Arthur left the subject alone as all the artifacts were taken to the storage area they would be kept in over night.

“I know this is rather sudden” Lance said coming up behind Arthur when they were alone. “But would you like to have dinner with me at my flat”

Arthur was taken aback but nodded. “I would like that” Lance grinned and leaned closer until hise wae was only a few inches away from Arthur’s.

“You won’t regret this” Then being very bold Lance leaned closer and kissed Arthur gently on the lips.
