LA's happy family
Chapter 2: LA’s happy family
It was five o’clock pm when Mia was driving home from work. Mia was tired but she knew that she had to go home and feed three hungry mouths. She pulled up to the drive way and notice Jessy was rolling around in his power wheel chair. After the accident Jessy father moved out of town leaving him behind. Jessy never look to him for help again. In fact the last time Jessy saw his father, Vince had to beat the hell out of him because the man tried to grip up his son for some money. So Jessy be living with her for about a year in a half. “Jessy wait are you doing out here?” Mia walked over to him and rubbed his hair. “Hey Mia Vince told me to keep and eye out for you.” “He did huh. Why on earth would he put you on guard duty? He knows that all the bad people in the world could run pass you.” “Ha ha very funny Mia.” She walks in to the house and notice that Leon was on the floor like a little kid playing the game. “Yo Mia your home.”
“Yeah Leon that’s right I’m home and I’m”---. She smelled something burning in the kitchen. “Oh Lord what the hell is Vince doing in my domain.” “Mia girl don’t get mad, but me and Vince thought that you been working so hard that he would try and get dinner ready.” “Oh is that what he’s trying to do.” She laughed when she heard Vince scream out loud. They all ran and rolled to the kitchen to see Vince flat on his ass looking at the stove in shock. “That stove spit fire at me”, he said as he stood up pretending that nothing happen. Mia goes and starts to push Vince out the kitchen. “Out you guys I have to cook.” She gets them out the kitchen and cleans up Vince mess, while Jessy and Leon fun fun of him. Vince was about to shut them up when the doorbell ranged.
Vince went over to the door and opened it to find none other than Letty standing in front of him. His first reaction was giving her a hug. “Yo super chic, you healed up pretty well.” “Same to you V. how bad does your scar look.” She looks to see his scar but he pulls away from her. “ It looks like shit.” Jessy yelled out to Letty. “Shut up Jessy”, he yelled out to him before being cornered and forced to show his scar. After seeing the scar Letty laughed and said that his scar does look like shit. Everyone laughed and pointed at Vince’s while he just gave them the finger. Mia step out of the kitchen and notice Letty standing there laughing it up with the guys. “Oh my god Letty, girl is that you?” Who else would it be girl?” She walk over to her girl and gave her a hug. “Wow girl it’s so good to see you.” “Yes I know I’m hot but who cares about that. Did Dom get back from south yet?” Jessy rolled over to them and got into the conversation. “He’s not back yet and he doesn’t know I’m still alive.” Letty let out a sigh and ask if Mia man was still in town. Mia couldn’t help but be sad about the whole thing. “He ran off to Miami to escape the law here. After he let my brother go, the cops was after him so he moved there and stayed there for a while, but he’s coming back I hope.
They all skip the sad subject and sat at the table talking about the fun things they did in the past and played truth or dare in the living room. “Ok Letty I dare you to kiss Mia.” Said Jessy with a smile on his face. “Damn Jessy you’re such a kid man.” Letty did kiss Mia, and what a sweet kiss it was. Letty finished with the kiss and looked at her watch to see what time is was. “Shit! Guys I got to split, I got a race to win soon. Jessy gave her an odd look. “ You still race?” Letty punched Vince playfully on the shoulder. “Yeah I do, but I can’t talk now. I got to get to Main Street in 7 minuets.” “Letty wait up ok I’m going with you ok.” Leon said as he went to go get his jacket out of the closet. Both Leon and Letty left for Main Street. Mia starto fto flashback about all the fun times they had when the whole team was together. The parties the hangouts they went to and chillin under her big brother’s watch. Life just didn’t get any sweeter than that. Jessy called to Mia and said that was about to watch a movie and if she wanted to she could chill and watch with them.
