Chapter 2: Seven Days later

The seven days were up, Steve and the others were all sitting at their cars waiting to see if any of them came out, "You think they made it?"

Rachael shrugged, "I don't know." She hugged him tightly, "if not, they knew what they were getting into."

"It doesn't make it right though..."

Emery gasped, "THERE THEY ARE!"

They turned their heads to see all of them coming out, alive, only one looked like hell and that was Samantha, she staggered out of the house, holding something, wrapped tightly in a blanket. Her skin was white as chalk and her legs looked like they wanted to collapse, but she stubbornly made her way to her car and put the blanket into the passenger seat with a seat belt on. She leaned heavily against the door before moving away from it and walking over to the driver's side, Steve's jaw dropped at the image in the doorway, there was Ellen staring at her, arms outstretched and speaking, "come."

Samantha looked at her with a deathly calm, "no."

Ellen screamed in rage as the other girls looked worriedly at Samantha, "COME TO ME!!!"

Samantha shook at the rage pushed at her, but otherwise didn't move from against her driver's side door, "Jade, you and the others, get in the van..."

"But..."

"DO IT NOW!"

The others climbed into the van and drove to where Steve and the others were waiting. Ellen screamed in rage as Sukeena appeared next to her, "Come to us, help us, help us build."

Samantha stepped forward with a determined glint to her eyes, a circle formed around her glowing brightly, "I bind you Rose Red, from doing harm." She pulled out a black velvet bag tied with a golden string as Ellen and the other 'spirits' began pushing against her circle. "I bind you with Earth, for the Guardian of the Northern Gate, Guardian of Mother and Earth."

She threw a handful of fresh soil at the house and Ellen and the others screamed as a golden thread formed around the house. "You cannot do this...you are not strong enough."

Samantha grinned ferally as her aura flared with a brief spurt of anger, "I bind you with incense, for the Guardian of the Eastern Gate, Guardian of Air and Inspiration." She lit and incense cone and let the smoke flow towards the house, another thread formed around it, this one silver.

Even from their spot by the gates, they could all see the look of fear on the 'spirits' face, and the unconcealed rage on Ellen's. "I will not let you do this!"

Ellen tried to step forward, only to fly backwards, Samantha continued unfazed, "I bind you with fire, for the Guardian of the Southern Gate, Guardian of Fire and Passion." She lit and candle and literally threw it at the house, a red thread formed around it, and everyone saw Samantha's legs weakening.

Jade held herself back on the gate, her knuckles turning white and under her breath she prayed, "Goddess help her, help us all. Help rid the world of the evil that is Rose Red."

The others slowly joined in, Steve and Annie looked at each other curiously before praying too. Kathy looked at everyone, remaining silent, she couldn't pray to a Goddess she did not believe in, it would betray her Christian faith. But silently, she prayed to her own God.

Samantha's voice wavered, but still she remained strong, "I bind you with water, for the Guardian of the Western Gate, Guardian of Water and Purification!"

A blue thread stretched itself across Rose Red, and as it did the other threads grew wider until the house was covered in their light, "You may harm none no more, So I will it, so mote it be."

Finally her knees gave and she sat on the ground breathing heavily for a few moments, Ellen pounding against the solid binding that held her in place. Samantha raised herself up and into her car and drove to the gates, her voice was sincere, but no longer as strong, "Thank you, Mr. Rimbauer."

Kathy stepped forward, "What did you need to do so badly?"

Samantha smiled tiredly, and everyone jumped at the blanket bundle moved in the passenger seat, "I had my reasons."

Steve raised an eyebrow, "What is that?"

A familiar voice they had thought to never hear again spoke, "I think I'd prefer to be a who, if you don't mind, Steve."

"NICK!?!?!?!?"

Nick unwrapped his head and looked at the others, only a little paler than they last remembered him, he reached over and kissed Samantha's cheek lightly. "I thought for sure, I'd never see you all again, or anything else outside of that Hell."

Samantha put the car in park while everyone was talking, resting her head back on her seat. Annie smiled just happy Nick was well, the others had a lot of questions though, most having to do with a, "HOW?"

Nick chuckled, "well no one else could have pulled it off, Sam is just too stubborn to take that I wasn't coming back."

Annie shushed everyone, and pointed to the now sleeping Sam. Nick chuckled as Jade got out of the van, "I'll drive, she needs to rest anyway."

Nick pulled her onto his lap carefully, not really wanting to wake her just to put her in the back. He moved some of her midnight black hair from her face and kissed her forehead, "always the stubborn one."

Jade coughed, "You are all welcome to come back to the house to talk, but I warn you....do NOT touch anything without permission.....trust me on this one."

They all nodded before getting into their own cars and following them as they drove.....

A.N.: *giggles* don't know why I'm so happy.....but I like this story....and I like Nick.....he shoulda came out alive...*sniffles* oh well, anyway hope you liked it!
