Introductions are necissary

hello all
Well this is my first attempt at a fiction, Wolfsbane made me, gotta love her though.
Well let's see here, first these characters are of my own creation, with a little help from Flowering_Wolfsbane, but I do not own the rights to the matrix idea and characters featured in the series.

Story may include explicit language and mild sex scene, you are warned.

I'm not too happy with this chapter, any suggestions just drop me a note.

Regards,
Xero

“Jesus Xero!” shouted Tarkas.

“You do know he can’t hear you? He’s dead, no one could ever survive that kind of fall, good job too, being chased and hunted down by so many, he had no chance, and you know it.” replied Daphne.

“For fucks sake do you have no heart woman, he was one of our own, and a damn good one at that. He didn’t deserve to go like that!”

“Well guess what? He did! He’s dead, nothing we can do about it, he made the choice to do what he did and he knew the risks. As we all do! You know that, of all people you know that! Anyway we’ve got to move, we need to dump him.”

“Have a heart woman, someone needs to go in there, you heard what Xero said, he needs out, we need him out! It’s what Xero wanted.”

“Xero wouldn’t have wanted us to die doing it though, we need backup, they know we’re watching him”

“Yes and how long before they get to him?! We don’t have the time.”

“Fine go in and risk you ass, but you’ll be doing it alone, someone needs to be here.” Screamed Daphne turning back to the glowing console.

Slowly her fingers worked across the keyboard, a blur of clicking filled the tiny room. The ship was one of the smallest sips in the resistance fleet, just large enough for three very close people to live comfortably. Wires and cables ran from everywhere and all seemed to link to the three-panel console, now glowing green with code. Next to this sat the only chair capable of what they wanted to do. Occupied. Xero lay there, motion less… slowly oozing blood from his back, left arm and upper right leg.

“Well hurry up” Daphne yelled, “You’ve got to move him, you need the chair!”

“Have some respect for the dead women!” replied Tarkas.

“I’ll respect him when he’s out our way, we have a job to do!”

With that they sped through their work, moving with a grace only two who have been together as long as they have can. Tarkas moved the lifeless body from the chair and lay his old friend off the floor, time was of the essence, and nothing could be done at the moment.
Daphne’s fingers moved with astonishing grace across the keyboard panels as she slowly found him and entrance.

Daphne broke the uncomfortable silence and said “Okay there’s a payphone on the junction of West and Margate street, I know it’s a few blocks away but you need the exercise, and it’s the best I can do at the moment.”

“Anything will do right now, just get me in there. We need to check this guy out, if he wants out we need him out.” replied Tarkas

“Well it’s all set up, hop in.” Daphne said gesturing to the chair.

Tarkas slowly moved in the chair and lay his head back onto the rest after parting his hair. Daphne walked over and hooked his body up to the life support monitors then looked Tarkas in the eyes.

“Take care of yourself.” she said with a smile.

“Oh you know I will.” Replied Tarkas returning the smile.

Suddenly Daphne forced the long spike into the back of his head, a small wincing pain shot through his body then the world went dark…
