What she knows
Ferni was perparing for her next class she had just finished with her Advanced mathematics class and had an hour break between that and her poetry class.
"Ferni..Ferni!!" She turned quickly and saw Seiedah, she was her best friend. She was taller then her by a few inches, much darker and thinner. She was smart but lacked the drive that Ferni possessed.
"Oh please I need help."
"What is the matter?"
"I have a test in classics and i havent read the book."
"What, you had two weeks to read "The Oddyssey". Seidah why would you put yourself in that situation."
"Oh I've read the book when I was younger I just cant remember it, will you tell me what happens?" She sighed and gave in.
"Alright, I'll try what sections?"
"The entire book." She said quietly, hoping that she could work some sort of miracle.
"WHAT! You expect me to teach you the entire story of the Oddyssy and its meanings in 20 minutes before your class?!" She made a strange face, pleading with her to take pity on her.
"OH bother, alright lets give it a shot." They stalked off to library and she started with the introduction of the story and went on from there at warp speed. Micheals stepped out from the small alcove where he was standing and followed the girl and at sauntering pace.
He followed them slowly, but could hear every word that the girl said. He was amazed that she could recount the entire text in perfect accuracy. Of course she had to stop and explain to the girl next to her, but even still it was no mean feet. He foud himself fascinated by the girls knowledge and had almost forgotten that he had been trying to be indiscreet.
"Alright, thats all the time we have, you should at least pass with what I have told you Seiel, now go."
"But.."
"Go on, you dont want to be late." She gave her a dismayed look and ran up the stairs to her class. "Merci Ferni, Merci" She gave a small smile.
"Good luck." She whispered and clutched her book to her chest and turned to see her Professor standing not too far behind her.
"Professor? Bonjour."
"Bonjour, tutoring i see."
"Oh yes, just giving her a little advice. Shes really quite smart just well, im not really sure." He was staring at her now and she stared right back her green eyes penetrating his maroon. "Well, I must go now, I'll see you in a little while." She walked away and did not look back, she could feel his eyes on her but would not turn around even though she wanted to.
He smiled and walked to his classroom he was a Professor now after all, however he made a stop to the school registrar, under the guise of needing to speak with her parents he was given her phone number and home address. He smiled...not to far from his own apartments.
'This should be fun.'
