chapter 2
As Joey approached the sign that read Santa Carla, the sun was going down. She looked up at the big old rusty sign. She stared at it for a while. But, before looking away Joey noticed something written on the back of the sign. But, without her glasses wasn't able to make out all of it. The least she could make out was: murder, capital, world. She was taken aback by the word murder. But thought nothing of for she thought she must of misread it. There was no telling she could and couldn't see without her glasses. She looked at the town up in front of her. It was a hot, hostel looking place. Full of party goers and boozers. She hated this place. It had a boardwalk that was booming with noisy people every night. She was beginning to think this place was going to be a wrong choice.
It was just before sunset when she finally pulled up to the boardwalk. She got off of the bike and stared around with great awe. Joey started off towards the boardwalk. She need to practice some newly acquired skills. And this was the perfect place to used them! She just had to pick her prey and attack. Joey pushed her bike through the big arch way that separated the parking lot from the boardwalk and joined the crowd of people walking in one direction. Finally she found a dark corner where she could park and lock the bike and then pick her prey. Searching the crowd she finally found a man with what she wanted and more! She slowly walking over at an angle to where she was just behind him but still walking with the crowd. He was wearing a suite that had pockets on the out side. This one was going to be easy. She swiftly brushed by him putting her hand gently into his pocket and pulled out his wallet and the lose extra fifty dollar bill that was with it.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
It was finally that time of night when it was safe to go out. David and the boys were heading out for yet another night on the boardwalk. It was kind of getting boring but there was not better place to pick their prey then there. They all ran outside and hoped on their motorcycles starting them all up with a load roar. They were all very hungry and desperately wanted some food. The boardwalk was only a 5 minute drive from their place so it wouldn't be long before they got there. They reached the road and started speeding around traffic to get to where they were going. Occasionally passing a red light or two. This was the life. Freedom to do what ever they wanted! How could it get any better. And now they were without authority. Michael there old “buddy” ran off with Star and her little friend after killing the man that had made them what they are. They finally reached the boardwalk and the revved through the huge arch way. People could hear them and extensively got out of their way. They finally reached the spot where they plant their bikes every night. They turned off their engines and searched the crowed for any one that looked tasty.
“Not much here tonight is there?” yelled Marco to the others.
“Yeah. Nothing different from last night.” answered Paul.
While they were jacking off David had his eye on a pretty girl with glasses in the shade of a building. She was searching the crowd for something and then suddenly she was on the move. He watched her closely as she came up on a man. She swiftly nudged him and reached her hand inside his pockets. Pulling out a wallet and a 50 dollar bill. He smiled. He hadn't seen a girl of her age do that in years. She couldn't have been but 15 or 16. He jumped of his bike and started following her. He watched her closely as she came up on a table filled with merchandise outside a store. She again swiftly walked passed it and lifted a watch. She had skills. She then suddenly started walking even faster. She jerked her head and found a shaded corner near a building that had no lighting. She looked around and didn't see anyone watching her so she pulled the wallet out of her pocket and opened it. She again looked around once more to see if anyone was watching. Seeing that no one was she went though it.
“Damn!” she whispered. She had lifted a empty one. David laughed silently. He walked up behind her. With a sudden move she moved on. She looked around and casually dropped the wallet. She started looking at store windows. David followed her. She was interesting. Finally she saw a sign with a "HELP WANTED" posted in the window. Her green eyes lit up and then went in. David waited outside. 10 minuets latter she came back out, a happy look on her face. He heard her whisper, "Finally, things are turning around."
David moved so that she would run into him. and she did. Literally. She hit her nose in his chest." Opps. So sorry," She mumbled, in a rich, soft southern accent. She then looked up.
David was at least 5 inches taller then her. So when she looked up she was looking right at his chest. He had a leather jacket on with a black tee shirt underneath. She slowly inched her eyes up towards his eyes. She scanned his face and was instantly taken aback. He was hotter then hell! Not to mention his eyes burned with passion and raged. Instead of the normal color of ones eye his eyes were red. A deep dark fiery red. She looked even further up and noticed his bleach blonde hair. It was spiked strait up. It was a total reflection of perfection. He had both ears pierced with small gold loops. In other words, Trouble! The kind of guy that would not look twice at her.
“Sorry!” she finally managed to mutter.
“No problem. You new here?” he asked looking strait into her eyes.
“Yeah. How could you tell?” Joey asked giving him a little smile.
“For one, I've never seen a girl your age pick pocket a man like that! The second, I haven't ever seen you around.”
“Oh. You saw me pick pocket that man? Look, I know that's it's wrong, but I needed some money until I get my own. Its just my way of getting what I want. And since I don't have a job, I can't get any food. So, I steal!” she said looking kind of flustered.
“Right.” David suddenly became tongue tied. He was so caught up in her good looks and innocence that he was loosing track of what they were talking about. He was becoming mad with him self that he couldn't think of anything to say. Before he realized it she was walking away. He was madder then hell but he decided to let her go. He would continue this conversation tomorrow.
