Chapter 2
She sat, waiting, pondering over her dream to see if it had any real meaning to reality.
She wondered when the general was going to get back. For some reason, she was longing for him, at least, wanted to be near him. She didn’t understand why she felt this. She had never had a loving feeling, for she had been alone for as long as she could remember, had never even fallen for a man like she just did. She now pondered over this.
“Why?” she thought. “Why do I love him? He’s done nothing but hurt me. Shouldn’t I be having dreams of torture, pain, or even suffering? Shouldn’t I hate him for what he’s done to me? I’ve never even felt these emotions, yet I have them feel so real in my dreams.”
She thought about going to sleep again, hoping that if she had the same dream, more would be shown to her. She fell asleep and did have the dream again, from the start, to where they left off. He began to pull her closer to his face. She felt her feet leave the ground. Closer and closer……
“Wake up!” a voice yelled
Her eyes popped open. She was getting annoyed that her dreams were being interrupted by this stupid droid. How much she desired to destroy it so she could finish her dream.
“Get up.” it commanded.
“Oh shut up.” she replied.
She then saw why he woke her up this time. Not to far away was the general, and he didn’t look too happy. Quickly, she got up and waited patiently for him. She dared not look at him for she already felt strange around him, but she knew when it was time to not talk to somebody.
“Come!” he said loud and angrily.
She obeyed immediately, and wondered what had ticked him off so much. She decided it was best not to ask. When they were in the control room, Grievous started to cough. She took a glance at him. He tried to stop, but it got worse. It was so bad he was on his knees.
She ran to him and tried to help, but he roughly pushed her away.
“I’m *cough* fine.” he managed to say.
She kneeled down in front of him and he glared at her in anger because she wouldn’t leave him be. She then gently took hold of the mouth part of his head. Her hands glowed blue and she began to release the energy into him. He could feel the flow of energy in all his organs, his whole body. He felt, relaxed. He wasn’t coughing anymore. She stood up and gave him a bow then went to the spot she was before. She then sat down, folded her arms comfortably, and tried to get more sleep. He stared at her for a moment then turned back to the pilot droids. He started to issue commands and after he was done with that he thought about what had just happened. Why did she save him, if she wanted to be free of him? She didn’t have the same dream. She dreamed of herself going through a transformation. Blue fire engulfed her and she was turned into something not even she would have ever dreamed of. She looked at her hands. She had blue claws on each finger. Her hands were blue furred, but further down the arm, the blue faded into white fur. She then noticed she had a snout. It was white with a blue nose. She heard someone behind her. She looked back and a silhouette of a man was attacking her with a purple lightsaber. As if by instinct, she lunged for his throat, clamping down on it on contact. Every time she put more force on her bite, her razor like teeth would go in an inch deeper. She bit harder one last time and bit the mans head off. She opened her mouth and let the part she bit off drop out. She used new found powers to take the blood off her. She looked at the body and was horrified at what she had just done, yet felt triumphant that she was the victor of the fight. She then woke up on her own, happy that the droid wasn’t the one to wake her up. She got up and stretched a little as to not attract attention.
“Where are we going now?” she asked groggily.
The droid was about to answer, but then the general was coming.
“Come.” he commanded and she obeyed.
She noticed that he had cooled off ever since they left. She was very relieved for that. She was going to ask where they were, but thought not to because he would probably just ignore her. They had been walking in a building for some time now, when she finally got enough courage to ask.
“Where are we going?” she asked.
“Lord Sidious has ordered me to bring you to him.” he said without even looking at her.
She stopped in her tracks, frozen with fright. HIS master wanted to see HER? She now resented that she asked.
“Come here.” he commanded.
She nodded her head no.
“I said come here!” he commanded, his voice getting louder.
She gave him a look as if to say “are you freakin’ nuts?!?” Again she nodded her head no. He glared at her and swiftly had her by the neck and off the ground, carrying her closer to Sidious. They were finally in the Sith Lords room. Grievous put her down and turned her around to face Sidious’ direction. He and all the droids then bowed down on one knee and she did the same.
“Rise.” the Sith Lord commanded and they all did so.
“Grievous. Leave us.” he commanded.
“Yes, my Lord.” and he did so, leaving her with Sidious.
“Come child.” he commanded.
Her brain didn’t want to obey, yet her legs walked her closer to him. When she was no more than a foot away, she stopped. Sidious took a deep breath and smiled, seeming satisfied by something.
“You have such great power, yet, you don’t know how to unleash it. That will all be changed soon.” he chuckled, then took another deep breath. “You have feelings for the general?” he said, a smile creeping on his face.
She didn’t like anyone going into her mind unless she allowed them. Then, her eyes changed color. The whites of her eyes were now blue on the edges then faded when they came to the center. Her iris was the same as the whites, but her pupil was now a thick slit. The room grew cold and icicles grew from the ceiling. Sidious’ hands and feet were now incased in ice, keeping him glued to the chair. The guards started to come, but then ice covered their whole bodies, keeping them where they were. Phen got down to Sidious’ level and stared him in the eyes. She smiled as if pleased. She then said one word.
“Fear.”
Then in an instant, everything was back to normal. Her eyes changed back to normal and she stood up straight, looking confused. He then sent her away back to Grievous. Never had he seen such promising power. The word she said was the exact feeling he had at that moment. Fear.
