Good Morning Paxton

Paxton awoke slowly, his mouth tasting like old gym socks and his head feeling like King Kong had played soccer with it. He raised his hands up to rub his eyes, giving a strangled cry of pain as he moved his left hand, the appendage erupting into white hot agony.

He took a few deep breaths, his eyes clenched tightly shut as he took stock. The taste in his mouth and the feeling in his head told him he'd either gotten amazingly drunk or had been drugged. His left hand felt like it had been through a meat grinder and the side upper side of his chest burned as well.

He could feel soft cloth pressing around him, agianst his bare skin. Bare skin? Great, he was nude. He opened his eyes slowly, looking around. He was in a large room, the walls paneled with dark oak wood. Large windows to the left side of him were uncovered, showing a wide feild and a dark forest outside. Bright sunlight poured into the room, making his head hurt. He lay in the center of a four poster bed made of dark oak. The bed was made up with white sheets, multiple pillows, and a dark red comforter over the sheets.

Across the from the bed was a large fire place made of dark gray-white marble, a cheerfull fire burning in the hearth. The floor too was made of dark oak with stylish, old world rugs in dark tones placed here and there. The entire room was decorated in an old world victoria style, fancy, yes, but tastefully so.

But how had he gotten here-oh my god.

It all came roaring back to him. Josh, those bitches, Kana, the train, the freak who he was going to fucking kill. He set up quickly, looking around, his heart rate rising as his breath quickened. He must have passed out from blood lost in the train station bathroom.

But if that was true then why wasn't he in a hospital. He lifted his left hand, expecting the whole thing to be missing only to find that it, like his chest wounds, had been bandaged. That confused him even more!

Then the door to the room opened and a little girl peeked in, grinning around the thick wood at him. "Hey there..." He said softly, his thorat feeling like sandpaper. "What's your name sweetie?" He tried to sound friendly but the fear rushing through him was making him panicky.

The little girl waved her hand at him, giggling. "Saskia." She said softly, moving further into the room. "Are you going to stay with us?" She asked softly, coming to stand at the edge of the bed, peering up at him with big, bright eyes.

He blinked down at her, opening his mouth to speak just as an all too familiar voice spoke up outside the door, making his blood run cold. "Saskia! What are you doing in there? You'll wake up our guest!"

Paxton's body froze as the owner of that voice came into the room, grinning broadly, that is until he saw the Paxton was already awake. The grin narrowed into a sly smile, his eyes locked on Paxton, a predatory gleam in his eyes, even as the little girl ran to her father, wrapping her arms around his waist.

"Well, good morning Paxton."
