Trusting Trey
Crazy, eh? Well, things are going to get even crazier for Gibb-and Trey will be the sanest person she deals with…

Chapter 2: Trusting Trey
Gibb could feel her heart beating fast, so fast she half-way expected it to fly right out of her chest. “Trey? What the hell is going on?” He didn’t answer, just drove the car with somewhat steady hands. “Trey? You basically kidnapped me, I’m pretty damn sure someone has called the cops by now…”
He snorted then. “What is funny? Huh? What the fuck is so funny?” Now her fear was subsiding and being replaced with anger.
“Cops. They never did any good in the past why would they now.”
“In the past… Trey straight now what is going on?”
Silence.
“Baby. Baby. Baby.”
“What?”
He shook his head and murmured something. “There’s something not right in Springwood. Hasn’t been for a long time. But the adults, they turn the other way-lock up those who have seen it. Scared of what they may say.”
“What are you talking about? You don’t even sound like yourself-you sound like the total opposite and it’s really freaky. What the hell is going on?”
“You mean where’s my tough-guy act? The bitter tongue and fast fists? That’s not me, not the real me, Gibb. Believe me when I say keeping this image is harder than it looks.”
“Then what is the real you?” He smiled and turned off the main road, now seeing the state line heading west.
“That’s what I’d like to know as well.”
“Trey… “
“I’m not going to hurt you. That’s the last thing I want to do.”
“Then, what…”
“Right now, I’m one of the few people that you can trust. Okay?” She still didn’t know how to answer, just smiled weakly and leaned back in the seat.
“Where are we going?”
He opened the glove compartment and handed her a sheet of paper printed from the Internet. “I have to find this man.”
“Neil Gordon? Why?”
“Because he has many answers-about our pasts, our families, and our futures.”
“How could he?”
“Let’s get to where he is first.”
