Now or never

Nem-Tak was now beyond pissed, this female had just humiliated him badly and she was going to pay. He thought.

Preparing his next move. He got up glaring at me as though I were already part of his trophy collection. I sprinted towards him again, determined to keep him down. Only this time, it didn't go my way.

He grabbed my foot right in the middle of my leap and sent me crashing down on the floor. And this time, I got it...REAL FUCKING HARD. I gasped as my body curled up instinctively from the pain. Before I had time to recuperate, he was above me and sent his wrist blades flying down, determined to impale my chest. I flipped over quickly avoiding his blades by the skin of my teeth and scurried back to my feet. Amazingly, I got lucky again. His blades were stuck in the floor, giving me enough time to run around and grab the dagger that was stashed in the side of his armor.

In a split second, I was behind him, the dagger at his throat. He stayed still for a while, breathing deeply and growling ever so low. I brought my face in closer to the side of his head and said,

"I win."

"Yes, you have." The warrior replied, still VERY pissed at himself for losing.

I climbed down from my perch on his back SLOWLY, holding on to the dagger that had preserved my life. My opponent stood and turned to face me. We were both still breathing hard from our brief fight.

"I will take you to the Elder, but I seriously doubt that he will believe your story." He grunted, "Nor do I for that matter." He said as he extended his hand to retrieve his dagger.

"I don't need him to believe me. He can see for him self. If he runs a few tests, the results will speak for themselves." I answered while placing the butt of the dagger in his open hand.
He nodded his head and gave me an annoyed grunt as he turned to walk and I followed close behind.

He headed for the window which brought a, "What the heck are we doing here?" look on my face. He turned to me briefely before jumping across to the other building.

"Ah, look buddy, I told you I was stronger than most humans but that don't mean I can fly!" I yelled, still standing on the edge.

He looked at me seeming even more annoyed and leaped back towards me. Before I could think, or say anything else, he put his arm around my waist, gripping me tightly and next thing I new we were on the other side, forcing a small screech of fear out of my mouth.

I soon had to get used to this because it seemed that casually walking around to get to wherever we were going was not an option. So we flew across the building tops one by one, and every time my heart skipped a beat as I watched the emptiness unravel underneath again and again. Every touch down also was quite the unpleasant experience, because of the impact I felt crashing down, held only by my waist. I tried to get a better hold of him with my arms and legs but it didn’t make much of a difference.

Finally, the joy ride from hell was over, as we landed in what seemed to be some kind of construction site. One that hadn't been used in quite some time it seemed.

"Wait here." The warrior said while pressing some bottons on his gauntlet.
After a few seconds, I could hear him speaking to someone else in his language (I assumed, you know, it not being English, him being Yautja). After a few growls ,hisses and clicks, out of nowhere, a huge door opened from an obviously cloaked ship. He turned to me, his dreads swinging around his shoulders as he dropped his cloak.

"Follow me" He commanded.

My heart sank as I stared at the bright light and over to him. My hole body screamed to get away. I just wanted to run. "Oh God why me, why couldn’t I have just been a human? Ordinary human living an ordinary life? But noooooooo! I had to be part of some strange Goddamned dying breed that just about no one knew about!" A huge growl snapped me out of my self-pity thoughts as the warrior glared at me, obviously pissed at my daze.

I took a deep breath and started walking up the ramp. It took every thing I had to keep putting one foot in front of the other. When we got inside of the ship, I noticed blue and black metallic walls covered in strange symbols all around me. I looked in awe, I had never seen anything quite like it. Without warning, the warrior stopped in front of me, practically causing me to bash my face right in his back.

As I halted behind my host, I found myself surrounded by deep growls and trills...I had NEVER been so scared in all of my long life. I took everything I had so that my legs wouldn't just give out under me. My acute vision allowed me to see cloaked shadows moving all around. More clicking and grunting sounds captured my attention as a huge; AND I MEAN HUGE Yautja stepped up to the warrior I had fought with.

I noticed that my escort bowed his head to this much larger one and knew right away that this had to be the Elder. I nearly had a heart attack when the Elder looked at me from over the smaller one's shoulder (I had kind of been willingly hiding behind him up until then). My escort moved aside for the Elder to get a full view of me as I looked at him wishing with all my heart that I could just disappear right then and there. He took a step towards me and as long as his legs were, that was enough to get him just arm's length away from me, causing me to jump slightly. I looked up, WAY UP at him briefly, before bowing my head.

"My son Nem-Tak tells me that you claim to belong to a race called the Gy-gen. Is this correct?" He said to which I answered:

"Yes" without lifting my eyes beyond his chest.

"I do not see any difference in your physiology. You look to me like an ordinary human female." He said in a "You have very little time to convince me before I kill you", tone.

"My difference resides in the fact that I have to shape shift into another species every 68 years in order to survive and reproduce. You cannot see it with the naked eye, but if you run some tests, you will notice my cell structure is very different from humans. Or from any other species for that matter, not to mention the fact that I am stronger and faster than most humans and possess a sense of vision, smell and hearing that are far superior."

The words coming out of my mouth sounded almost rehearsed as my mother had explained this to me time and time again, also preparing me to the inevitable day when I would have to do what I was doing at that very moment.

"So you wish to . . . (He obviously paused to think of how ridiculous this was sounding even to him) BECOME one of us?" He said as he tilted his head to the side.

"That is correct." I answered, my almond eyes quickly meeting with his, only to shift back too nowhere in particular.

"What makes you think that we would just let you be part of our kind when we no nothing of yours; what makes you think you would be worthy of us and what would this bring us in return?"

I could hear the doubt in the Elders’ tone as he questioned me.

"My mother has been one of your kind before she had me. She told me about your ways and said she had lived a very good experience among you. She never revealed her identity when she became one of your kind because it happened by accident. Our kind does not impose our presence onto another race unless they are willing to receive us. If you let me join your kind, I will tell you all that I know about my species and I will live by your code of honor. I will be loyal and devoted to all those above me and will accept to be tested regularly if you wish, but within respectable terms."

I waited for his response. His lower mandibles were slightly hanging in astonishment . . . I guessed it was mostly the part about my mother being part of his kind once. He caught himself in his expression of shock and quickly closed his mouth.

"You will be tested at once." He said then clicking to one of the shadows.

Within seconds, the shadow de cloaked and accompanied Nem-Tak to my side. They both took one of my arms and started leading me into a corridor to the right. I assumed at this point, the Elder needed proof before any further interaction could occur between us.

GASP! Damned my arm hurts! ok, so far so good, well at least I think . . . Hope you like it! First flick so don't be too cruel!
