Chapter2

As Dwayne aproached the entrance to the cave he could hear Marko talking really loudly while giggling uncontrollably, something he only did when he'd fed to much or was high. Dwayne crept into the cave using his indian walk, so that the others wouldn't hear him. As he neared the bottom of the steps he noticed Marko sitting on a create nearby, with his back to the cave entrance. Dwayne smirked and quickened his pace and grabbed Marko around the waist causing the younger Vampire to gasp.
"Scare ya?" Dwayne smirked releasing Marko.
"Fuck i hate it when you do that." Marko cursed.
Dwayne laughed as he shook his head and flopped onto a nearby sofa.
"Ah, you finally decided to grace us with your presence" David stated as he looked up from the book he was reading.
"Well it was rather that or burn to death" Dwayne smirked.
Marko started giggling again, he was holding his sides desperatley trying to control himself.
David ignored Marko and concentrated on Dwayne.
"So where have you been?" he asked.
"Feedin." Dwayne casually replied.
"Allnight." David replied with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, now if the interigation is over i'm off to bed." Dwayne replied yawning."and if you stay sittin' there you'll start to burn in a few minutes." he smirked glancing at Marko.
Marko just blinked at Dwayne before another giggling fit came over him.
"Fine but don't say i didn't warn you." Dwayne shook his head and headed towards his room.
"Come on bed time." David called to Marko over his shoulder.
Marko giggled as he got to his feet and followed the others towards the tunnels that contained their rooms.


Paul was awoken by someone jumping on his bed followed by childish laughter, he opened his eyes slowly and made out the small form of his cousin. The kid noticing Paul's slight movement jumped on Paul.
"Morning." he giggled.
"Fuck," Paul groaned.
The kid let out a gasp "You just swore".
Before the kid could go and tell on him Paul grabbed him around the waist."Hey listen if you keep your mouth shut, i'll take you to the boardwalk tonight,yeah?"
"Really!" the kid squeeled.
"Yeah, but shh it's a secret okay?" Paul asked.
The kid giggled and nodded his head.
"Okay now go let me get back to sleep." Paul replied turning over.
After about an hour Paul finally decided to get up, as he made his way into the kitchen he noticed that nobody was in exept for himself. He decided to fix himself something to eat and took it into the sitting room.Paul flicked on the t.v and quickly turned it over to M.T.V and flopped onto the sofa to relax.
Paul was woken by his mothers voice, he glanced around and noticed that it was almost dark outside. Paul stretched and satup.
"Oh your finally awake are you?" his mother asked sarcatically. "Honestly Paul i don't know how you can sleep so much."
Paul just laughed and shrugged his shoulders, "I'm goin' for a shower" he replied as he made his way towards the bathroom.
"Remember that we need you to look after your cousin tonight." his mom called after him.
"Yeah" Paul called back as he closed the bathroom door.
Paul closed his eyes as he enjoyed the feeling of the hot water on his skin. Soon he was out of the shower and was getting dressed when there was a knock on the door.
"Yeah" Paul replied as he fixed his jeans.
The door opened and his dad walked in and sat on the bed.
"So what are your plans for tonight?" he asked.
"Nothin' mutch 'sept i was thinkin' that i might take the little one down to the boardwalk for a bit." Paul replied as he pulled on a mesh shirt.
"Well i expect you to look after him and no geting distracted by all them pretty girls." his dad smiled.
Paul laughed "No need to worry about me i'll keep a close watch on him."
"Yeah well i know how teanage minds work, all it takes is one pretty girl in a short skirt and you forget how to think." his dad lectured.
"Dad, there's no need to worry i won't get distracted by the girls, i promise." Paul laughed.
"Well here's some money and remember to be home by a decent time." Paul nodded and his dad went out the room closing the door.
Paul let out a small chuckle it wasn't the girls he was hoping to see tonight, but a certain native, Paul smiled as the toughts of the previous evening came flooding back into his mind.
Soon his parent's, aunt and uncle left and it was just him and the kid left, he glanced at the kid who was siting playing with his action figures on the sitting room floor. Paul went back into his room to finish getting ready. He was just pulling on his boots when the kid came in.
"Are we still going to the boardwalk?" the kid asked quietly almost as if he thought Paul would have changed his mind.
Paul smiled, "Yeah as soon as i'm ready, so you'd better be ready or i'll go without you."
The kid grined and ran from the room to get ready.
Soon they were both heading towards the boardwalk, laughing and joking as they passed a few kids with bright coloured hair.


Meanwhile the lost boys were just wakining up and looking forward to another fun night, Marko was making a few repairs to his jacket, David was putting on his jacket while Dwayne lazed about on a nearby sofa.
"Tonight we feed as a pack." David informed his brothers.
They both nodded knowing that the statement was aimed more at Dwayne than anyone else. They left the cave amid whoops and laughter, soon they found a small beach party to break up, after they fed they headed towards the boardwalk. As they raced down the beach their laughter could be heard as they cut infront of each other and tried to make the other rider fall of his bike. They raced up the stairs that led from the beach to the boardwalk they finally reached the video store and pulled to a stop. As they sat idally watching the crowds of people Dwayne noticed Paul at a nearby booth and frowned as Paul scooped up a small kid and helped him win a prize.Paul said something to the kid and the kid giggled and clutched Paul's hand as they pushed passed people.
"Something wrong chief?" David's voice broke into Dwayne's thoughts.
Dwayne shook his head, his eyes still locked on Paul and the kid.
"So are you going to introduce us to your friend then?" David asked and smirked when Dwayne spun around with a shocked expression.
Dwayne quickly recovered, "Yeah sue"
"Well what are we waiting for, lets go." David smiled, by the look on Dwayne's face you could tell that tonight wasn't going how he had planed.

Paul and the kid had just gotten their cotton candy when the kid suddenly gripped Paul's hand tighter.
Paul glanced and the boy and frowned, "Hey, what's up?"
When he recieved no reply Paul followed the kids eyes and glanced up as Dwayne and his two friends approached them. Dwayne smiled and Paul returned the gesture, putting a protective arm around his cousin.
"Hey." Paul nodded towards Dwayne.
"Hi." Dwayne nodded."eh, Paul this is David and Marko, boys this is Paul."
Marko smiled at Paul and gave a slight wave, "Hi Paul."
Paul nodded towards Marko.
"So your who Dwayne's been all secretive about?" David smirked and reached out his had to Paul.
Paul smiled and shook David's hand, the kid tugged on Paul's sleeve.
Paul glanced down at the kid and smirked."This here is my little cousin, Laddie."
Dwayne smiled and crouched down beside Laddie, "Cool alien you got there"
Laddie smiled, "Paul helped me win it"
"Yeah, but i bet you did all the hard work huh?" Dwayne laughed.
Laddie nodded, "Yeah Paul couldn't do it by himself so i had to help."
"So how old are you Laddie?" Dwayne asked with a smile.
"I'm seven."Laddie grinned proudly.
"What's your favourite ride then?" Dwayne asked.
"The rollercoaster!" Laddie squeeled.
Dwayne laughed and stood up. "Well let's go for a ride then, what do you say Paul?"
"Please Paul can we?" Laddie pleaded, Paul pretended to think while Laddie jumped up and down excitedly.
"Okay, now chill out little man." Paul laughed as he ruffled the kids hair.
The remainder of the night was spent going from one ride to the next, while the kid gorged on too much candy.
"Paul i don't feel good!" the kid complained turning to face Paul.
Paul glanced at the pale faced seven year old, "Well i think i'd better get you home." Paul smiled as he scooped the kid up.
"You wan't a ride home?" Dwayne asked.
"Nah, i'd be better walkin' the last thing i'd want is for him to hurl all over your bike." Paul replied with as shake of his head. "But thanks for the offer."
"Will you be back tomorrow?" Dwayne asked casually.
Paul nodded "Sure, more than likely."
Dwayne smiled, "Well i guess i'll see you tomorrow then?"
"Yeah definitley." Paul smiled, "Well i'd better get goin' before he throws up." Paul added indicating towards the kid.
"Yeah see ya." Dwayne nodded.
Paul smiled and with a single nod he turned and headed down the boardwalk. Dwayne watched as Paul made his way through the sea of people, then he turned towards his brothers.
"So what do you think?" he asked.
"He seems cool." Marko smiled.
"Yeah, but he seems close to his family." David added.
"Yeah especially the kid." Marko laughed.
"Yeah and that could cause problems." David nodded, upon seeing a disappointed look come over Dwayne, David added "We'll give it some time and get to know him better before we decide on what to do."
Dwayne smiled and gave a slight nod "Okay."
"Okay boys home time," David informed his boys.
The lost boys mounted their bikes and tore down the boardwalk as they headed home.
