Chapter 2
Will stared at me wide eyed as I stepped from my house.I suppose he believed all the rumors about vampires.That we were pale skinned freaks that sucked blood,hated daylight,and wore all black.Those rumors made me so angry!But my parents had spent way too much money on therapists to let me get angry all over again.
I could Will's eyes on my bare legs as I opened the umbrella that would shade my sinsitive skin.Slowly I walked towards the shocked boy and gave him a large smile that revealed my sharp canines.Gently I brushed my hand on his cheek and smiled.
"You’re staring my dear."I muttered before I walked away,the feeling of Will's eyes burning into my back.
The poor senior boy shook his head and ran to catch with my long strides.Once at the bus stop did I stop and let Will stand by my side.But not for long becuase as the bus came tumbling down the street slowly a short,red head girl came running at Will.
"Will!"The girl called loudly as she jumped on Will and wrapped her legs around Will's waist.It seemed effortless to Will to hold the girl up.
However as the girl's eyes landed on me her broad smile disappeared.But I didn't blame her.After all if your boyfriend was standing next to a long legged,mini skirt wearing,big breasted girl wouldn’t you hate her too?But I think the fact that my pale skin and t-shirt of a girl kissing a skeleton made up her mind that I was not interested in her obvious boyfriend.
"This is Layla.My..."Will paused for a short second and the girl,Layla, gave him a death glare.
"I'm his girlfriend."Layla said matter of factly.
"Lovely.I'm Kat and not interesed."I muttered as I stared straight in front of me.
"Kat just moved here and I'm showing her around."Will smiled brightly as Layla shoved her hand into Will's."Say Kat...you never did tell me where you where from."
"The United Catholic Church Graveyard.In Rome,Italy."I purred letting my father's dangerous accent spill through my words.
"So your italian!"Will said brightly with a smile on his face.
"Yeah.I'm italian."I smirked lightly as the bus arrived in front of me.
Layla quickly pushed her way onto the bus and took a seat next to a girl with purple and black hair.Not to mention pushing a tall,lanky,blond kid out of his seat.Will helped the boy up before sending a breif nod to a boy (man?) with long brown hair that sat in the very back.
"Kip this is Kat.She's new."Will told the bus driver who was busy running his eyes over my legs.
I rolled my eyes and closed my umbrella before sitting near the back.Some kids stared at me before turning around and whispering to each other.Not much happened on the way to the school except a few kids started screaming as the bus flew up into the air.I barley looked up from my book and smiled at the screaming freshmen.
The bus landed soon and the fat,bus driver smiled as he called out."Welcome to Sky High!"
Even I could tell that was his favorite part of his job.As soon as I exited the bus I heard Will approach me from behind and I smiled as he gently put his hand on my shoulder.I turned around and gave him a lazy smile before noticing the small bulge in his pants.
"Gettin' a little excited are we Stronghold.I'd go and hide that before Hippie sees you and forcibly removes your 'little man'."A rough voice said behind Will and I looked up to see the same long haired boy from the bus smirking down at Will.
Will rushed away as I began to notice that the senior super kid was incredibly short.But as I turned back around and my eyes fell on the boy who now stood in front of me I felt the slight color in my face drain.He was handsome and for me to say something like that was…strange.
“You like Love Is Dead.”
It wasn’t a question.It was a statement.And for a moment I was confused until I saw his shirt.The same white shirt with a black skeleton.Only now the skeleton was holding the girl bridal style,her breasts in the air,her lower half covered by a cloth,and her arms wrapped around the skeleton’s neck.The skeleton was staring at the woman’s chest while the woman leaned up to kiss the skeleton.
It was a Love Is Dead t-shirt.
“Yeah.Actually I do.”I muttered as I opened my umbrella once more and the boy’s eyes stared at the black cloth that hung above my head.
“Hey Kat!Come on!We need to get you to class on time.You don’t want to be late for your first day do you?”Will called loudly from the front steps of the school.
Rolling my eyes I muttered to myself,"Oh yeah.I would just hate for that to happen."
