2) Lossing Track of Time
AJ Angelique
Angelique was quick to find out that there was hardly anything that she would call exciting to do that wouldn't get her thown in jail. There was an local bar where she played pool with some guys for an while. Angelique made bets with some of the men and won their money, it was fun at first watching them get all huffed up by lossing to her. Yet tha that boring after an while and Angelique left the money right at the pool table as she got up to leave.
"Miss you..." one of the men started to say but stopped when she looked back over her shoulder with cold glassy eyes.
"Why do you boys hold onto to it for me, k?" she asked and quietly left the bar. The moment she was outsaide, she could hear the men inside scramble for that money. Angelique snickered at this as she climbed into the now rich violet VW bug and drove along the highway with all the windows open and Arosmith playing loudly on the radio. The rest of the night she spent her time spooking any locals she happen to find outside camping outside that night.
Angelique made it back to her temporary residence in town three hours before dawn where she quietly enetered the building and made her to her room. Once to her room, she simply opened the door and entered the room, not bothering to turn on an light.
'What an night,' Angelina said, sounding tired in the back of Angelique's mind.
"Yeah, would would have thought we would have that much fun such an little town. Huh Angelina?" Angelique mused aloud as she began to undress and noticed that Angelina didn't respond to her question.
"Angelina?" Angelique asked as Angelina mummbled something, sounding as if she was asleep. Angelique smiled at this and went to bed in nothing more than her panties and tank top. She was fast asleep within five minuets...
* * *
Angelina and Angelique shared their first dream that night.
The two girls were at this masqurade type ball and both were having the time of their lives.
Angelina wore an flowing snow white dress with spagehti straps and an scarf hanging lossly around her neck.
Angelique wore an form fiting coal black dress with no straps that showed off her back as well as her clevage in the front.
Things seemed to be okay untill this once dance ended and both girls began to dance with this dark stranger. It wasn't like three people dancing at one time, yet more like four people dancing at once...yet the two men were actually once person invading thier dreams.
While Angelina was intrigued by this, Angelique got nervous with every step taken. Then, when the dance ended, their partner turned out to be the Creeper...
* * *
Angelina woke with an start, sitting up in bed as her breath came in raggid breaths. She looked around at her suroundings it it took an moment for hr to register that she was in the Jeepers Creepers realm. She let out an sigh of relief when she saw that she was alone, but that releif soon fadded away when she saw an unfamilar peice of paper on the nearby table. Angelina threw off the covers, went over to the table, sat down and read the note.
"Oh my Gods," Angelina gasped, an hand flying to her mouth in shock.
'What is it?' Angelique asked with an yawn.
"See for yourself," Angelina said and allowed Angelique to read the note for herself:
Greetings,
I'm sorry I didn't come out and 'formally' introduce myself,
but I thought it best to let Angelique to get her sleep.
Even so, I'm sorry to say that last night was the last
night before I go off and do my vanishing act for the next 23 years.
Consider your self lucky to have survived...this time.
'Oh, I thoght I sensed someone here,' Angelique said after reading the note.
"Excuse me? You knew someone was here and you didn't tell me?" Angelina asked.
'I said 'sensed' besides, I thought it was my tired mind playing tricks on me,' Angelique replied and Angelina sighed as she put the note abck down.
"Well, it looks as if we missed our chance of meeting the Creeper," Angelina said.
'Not unless we travel back in time,' Angelina said. Angelina looked up.
"What did you say?" she asked.
'I have the power to travel through time...didn't you know?' Angelique asked.
"No! Just when were you planning on telling me this?" Angelina asked.
'Uh...that's an secret?' Anfelique asked and Angelina groaned.
* * *
Angelina spent the morning packing to leave for the past. When no one was looking, she exchanged her modern VW Bug for her classic purple one from Domestique. Once she had made the final payments on her room. Angelina hit the road.
"It appears we're alone," Angelina said, once they were out on the same road that brought Darry and Trisha to Pohoe and Portwilla.
'It always appears we're alone, this is the COUNTRY for Christ's sake,' Angelique said as she opened an time portal in the road ahead and Angelina drove right through it.
Angelina could feel herself and the car being pulled forward and when they came out on the other side, it seemed as if they had came back right where they had started...but there were more clouds and Angelina was actually getting some better radio stations. But she gave up on that once more and popped in an cassette of the Eagles greatest hits.
'I can't believe you listen to that junk,' Angelique said annoyed as 'Hotel Claifornia' began to play.
"Well it beats that heavy metal stuff you listen too. I swear, my ear drums will never be the same," Angelina said with an sigh, not paying attention to her rear veiw.
"Any who, I hope no one saw us," Angelina mussed.
'Angelina, there's no one for mileas around. Who in the Nine Hells is going...' Angelique started to say but was interupted by an all to familar horn.
"Jeppers it's the Creeper!" Angelina shouted as he blared his horn again.
'Why doesn't he just pass us?' Angelique asked.
"Because he thinks he's too good for that! That's why!" Angelina shouts as the rear of the car is bumped.
'We have to do something to get him off our tail or we're going to get run off the road,' Angelique says.
"Angelic Shower!" Angelina shouts, confussing Angelique for an moment. Before the Creeper knows it, his windshelid is pelted by an snow shower of feathers. The Creeper was taketalltally by surprise by this tactic and had to pull over to the side of the road seeing as how the feathers wouldn't come off the window any other way.
As the Creeper removed the snow white feathers form hsi window, he wondered how they got there in the first place and he noticed that they smelled like strawberries and creame.
* * *
Down the road, Angelina pulled over at the now famliar Poho Dinner that Darry and Trisha had stopped at and gave off an vicotry laugh.
'I have to admit, that was daring,' Angelique said.
"Yeah, let's go in for juice, I'm parched," Angelina said as she got out of her car and went into the dinner. Even though she didn't look as bad as Darry and Trisha did, Angelina still got some looks when she came into the dinner.
"What can I get ya?" the waitress asked when she sat at the bar.
"Orange juice, please," Angelina said. The waitress smiled at her politness and fixed her an tall glass of orange juice for her. Angelina was half way through her drink when the phone over by the door began to ring. When no one else was going to answer it, Angelina got up and picked it up.
"Hello?" she asked.
"Is this Angelina?" asked an strangly familar female voice.
"Yes...may I ask who's calling?" Angelina asked.
"Jezzel, now listen..." the girl on the phone began to say.
"Jezzel? Where are you? Never mind, just meet me at the libary and we'll talk there...and don't call back becasue I'm leaving now," Angelina said and hung up.
"Old friend of yours?" the waitress asked as Angelina gulped down her juice and payed for it...plus tip.
"Yeah, form college," Angelina said and left the dinner.
* * *
In town, Angelina had no trouble locating the libary. Angelina waltzed right in, grabbed a book of old faerie tales from the shelf, sat down and began to read it. It wasn't long before she was half way into the book when she felt an tap on her shoulder. Angelina looked up and over her shoulder only to drop the book she was holding in shock.
What she found behind her was an considerably younger, and possibly even prettier, Jezzel.
For a moment, Angelina felt like she was Utena meeting Anthy for the first time in the movie.
"Je...Jezzel?" Angelina stammered.
"Yes, you look like you've seen an ghost," Jezzel said.
"Not a ghost, a angel. Please, sit," Angelina said, getting up to offer Jezzel a seat which she took.
"So, I take you had an dream about me...like all the others, right?" Angelina asked.
Jezzel nodded mutely.
"Let me guess, your family have these dreams and rarely are the believed, am I correct?"
Angelina asked.
"Yes, how did you..." Jezzel started.
"Classic Cassandra situation. There was an Cassandra of ancient times who wanted the gift of foresight to help her people, the price that came with the gift was the NO ONE would believe her," Angelina said.
"I see...who are you exactlly," Jezzel asked.
"Don't you know?" Angelina asked.
"Those dreams can only tell me so much you know," Jezzel said.
"Allrighty then, to start off. I'm actually two differnt people. By day, I'm Angelina and by night I'm the Child of Darkness known as Angelique," Angelina said.
"Yes, I saw that in the dream," Jezzel said.
"I'm also from 23 years in the future," Angelina said.
"But, why have you traveled through time..."
"I want to meet the Creeper," Angelina said, making Jezzel laugh.
"What?"
"Honey, anyone who has gone after the Creeper has wound up in his stomach," Jezzel said.
"I know, but I'm different," Angelina said.
"Even so, that's just going to make him want to kill you more you know," Jezzel said.
"He didn't kill me in the future."
"Excuse me?" Jezzel asked.
"Yeah, the Creeper was in my room while I was asleep and he didn't even so much as wake me," Angelina said.
"Well, maybe he knows something that we don't," Jezzel mussed as the two girls continued to talk over tha matter. From a distance, the Creeper was listening to the whole coversation with interest as he munched on his latest victim.
"So, if you have all this power, why aren't you stopping him?" Jezzel asked at one point.
"Because, no matter how much an person goes back in time to save an person from dying, they'll still ending up dying another way Jezzel. When it's an person's time, it's their time...it's in the hands of the fates of how they die though," Angelina said, sadly.
"I see...so, where you staying?" Jezzel asked.
* * *
Jezzel made agrangements for Angelina to stay at her place while her parents were away. When sunset came, Angelina watched it as she exchanged contorl of the body over to Angelique.
"So, what you going to do now?" Jezzel asked Angelique.
"What else, go after the Creeper," Angelique said, tighting up the cords on her boots. Tonight she was wearing blue jean shorts over black stockings and black sneakers with an black halter top. She kept her hair back with an ball cap and she wore fingerless gloves.
"I wish you would try and attempt to kill it," Jezzel said.
"I wish I could to, but that thing has eaten to many hearts to die tonight," Angelique said and left Jezzel's house without another word. As Angelique drove out of the driveway and headed back into town, Jezzel silently prayed for Angelique's saftey that night.
* * *
Angelique roamed around the quiet town which was pretty much dead after six o' clock. Angelique was about ready to head over to that bar...if it was there during this time...and play some pool only to have her plans cut short by the sounds of an man screaming and fighting. Angelique grinned and dashed towards the source. She soon found herself in an alley and gasped lightly to see the Creeper just finishing an late dinner of brains.
'Oh Gods, who did he eat this time?' Angelina asked. As if hearing her, the Creeper looked up with an grin, tossed away the rest of the bloody male body, and stood in an stance ready to fight her.
"Great, an martial arts expert," Angelique muttered under her breath as she stood ready to defend herself. The Creeper made the first move, attacking as quickly as lighting...but Angelique's eyes were better than that and she was able to deflect his first attack.
The two fought with an flurry of kicks and punches, as well as some minor weaopon use as Angelina pulled out her Scythe and the Creeper pulled out his Axe, and their fight moved from the ally to an nearby condemmed building which was going to be demolished next week when the people figured out how they were going to do this without harming the still good building next to it. At one point the fight took place over an extremly weak spot in the floor and the two fell through the old wood flooring.
Their weapons, the ax and the scythe, clattered to the floor first as they slid into the shadows. They were soon acomapnined by their masters, the Creeper fell on his back on the hard dirt floor of the basement and unwittinly cushioned Angelique's fall as she fell on him, nearly knocking the breath out herself and what little the Creeper had left. Angelique groaned as the spots in her eyes began to fade away and she slowly lifted her head up to figure out what happened. As she lifted her head up, she moved it to the right and soon found herself staring into the Creepers now ice blue eyes as thier lips were just barely touching each other...
'Now what,' was the first thing that ran through Angelique's mind as she just looked at him, stunned that she she was this close to him and still breathing.
