Underworld: Retaliation

Two minutes later,the three awoke feeling strange.

Alexandria: Oww. My throat hurts.

Annalise: Mine too.

Selene: You two need to feed. It'll make you feel better. [Hands them each a blood packet]

Annalise/Alexandria: [Scarf it down and throw the bags away] Yuck.

Selene: [Laughs] Don't worry, you'll get used to it.

Annalise: What kind of blood is that anyway?

Selene: It's cloned blood. It's supposed to mimic human blood in a way, but it helps to keep from actually feeding off humans. We can drink animal blood, but it's rare if we do.

Alexandria: [Looks to Michael] What do you drink, Uncle Michael?

Michael: I drink the cloned stuff, but sometimes I can eat raw meat or mostly raw meat. Being a hybrid has that advantage.

Alexandria: Oh. How long ago were you turned?

Michael: Almost a whole thirteen years ago. But that's a story for another time. Considering your Aunt Selene is the one that turned me and you're asking me this, I'm assuming she didn't give you the blood memories of it.

Selene: I didn't. I thought that a bit private. I've learned to control what memories to pass on.

Michael: Oh. And you learned this how exactly? Besides them three, the only other person you bit and turned was me.

Selene: Practice. Whenever we hunt on animal blood, I learned to control it. I've just recently perfected it.

Michael: Oh. Nice. You haven't taught Eve that have you?

Selene: Hell no! Are you crazy?! I don't want her ever trying to turn somebody.

Michael: You turned me.

Selene: That was different. You were on the brink of death. I did it to save you because I love you. Turning someone of own free will just because you want to is a whole other thing. The only reason I turned those three is because I didn't have a choice.

Michael: Ok. Understood. And I wasn't implying that you should teach her. I was just making sure you weren't giving her any bad ideas.

Selene: Oh. [Calms down] Sorry I snapped at you.

Michael: It's ok. I just wanted you to know.

By now, the family of three was looking at Selene in shock from her outburst.

Cecelia: I just woke up from my transformation and you're going off on your husband.

Selene: [Turns to look at her] Get used to it. I'm pretty snappy about most things.

Cecelia: I'll keep that in mind and I know not to piss you off.

Selene: Eve can show you to your rooms.

Eve had come back in hearing her mother yelling and so she took the three upstairs and showed them to their rooms. The twins were sharing one room while Cecelia took the last room which was the attic. It wasn't set like a normal attic. It was set as a guest room, but Cecelia now has it.

It's a year later and Elizabeth's birthday. Elizabeth has grown a lot and has just started walking. She started talking at ten months and now she just loves saying random things. Annalise and Alexandria have just gotten jobs and are currently looking for boyfriends. Due to Selene being able to walk in the sun, her bite allows for her nieces and sister too as well. There haven't been any lycan or death dealer sightings since that horrible night a year ago and everyone is just living a happy normal life. Angela and George come over to visit a lot and have just arrived for Elizabeth's little birthday party.

Angela: Where's my beautiful little grandbaby?

Elizabeth: [Runs out of the room in just her diaper laughing and sees her] Gwandma!

Selene: [Runs out after her] Liz! Elizabeth, get back here! You have to get dressed!

Angela: [Laughs and picks her up] Where're your clothes, Silly Girl?

Selene: [Stops and hugs her mother in law] Hi, Mom. I have her clothes. I just gave her a bath and I'm trying to get her clothes on, but she ran away and ran faster than me. She's got her hybrid speed now and she thinks it's funny when she outruns me trying to get her dressed or into the bathtub.

Angela: [Looks at Elizabeth] Now, Liz. You shouldn't do that. Apologize to your mother.

Elizabeth: [Looks at Selene and gets taken by her] I sowy, Mommy. [Hugs her]

Selene: It's ok, but please don't do it again.

Elizabeth: Ok.

Selene: [Kisses her forehead] Good girl. Now come on. We need to get you dressed for your party. [Takes her back into her room and puts her red birthday dress on] There. You look very beautiful, Baby.

Elizabeth: [Walks to the large stand up mirror on the wall and looks] I like it. [Turns and smiles at her]

Selene: [Picks her up and sits her down to put her white nylons and matching red mary-janes on] There. Now you're ready. [Picks her up and carries her to the kitchen where everyone is waiting sitting at the table with the ready food]

Michael: [Gets up and helps Selene to put Elizabeth in her high chair then gets her a small plate of food]

Selene: [Sits down and feeds her while taking sips of her glass of blood in between bites]
