Chapter 25: The Wedding.


Turmoil is one way to describe the Toretto residence on Sunday morning. The girls are running up and down, getting dressed, doing their hair, nails and helping Mia with her gown. The men get ready and hour before the girls are done. A Pt Cruiser limo is outside waiting for the bride and bridesmaids. After Dom leaves with Brian the girls make their way downstairs, wearing a champagne colored matte satin princess line dress with full skirt, shirred back detail with a flower. The guys gawk at them, they truly look marvelous. Mia however is the most spectacular, wearing an ivory Vera Wang, heart shape front, spaghetti strap dress complete with tiara and veil. They make their way into the limo and arrive at the cathedral. The cameraman begins to film from the moment the limo's door opens. The cathedral is almost full with friends and family ~ and a lot of cops. Brian waits at the altar looking very handsome. Letty's little cousin's serve as the flower girl and ring bearer. The bridesmaids are next, Lisa and Jessie go in first ~ Jessie has the biggest grin on his face. Coco and Leon go next ~ Leon looks so different, cleaned up. Vince and Mini come next; Vince also cleans up pretty well. Letty and Oscar come in hand in hand, smiling all the way down the isle. Eva sums it up walking up to the altar, giving Brian a comforting smile. The wedding song begins to play and Brian anxiously looks down the isle. Mia comes in view with Dom at her side. "She looks Beautiful," he says only loud enough so Eva hears him and she nods in agreement. Dom has a look of pride and tenderness. When Mia had asked him to give her away, he thought it be a piece of cake, but now here with her in his arms he realizes it's the hardest thing he'll ever have to do. They reach the altar and Dom reaches for her veil, lifting it up over her head. He cups her face with his hands and studies her face. He whispers "I love you" and kisses her forehead. He turns around and looks at Brian, giving him a nod of approval. Brian steps forwards and takes her hand. Eva locks eyes with Dom, tears forming in her eyes ~ she's so proud of him. The priest begins his usual speech; all eyes are on them. They look perfect up there, they belong together everyone can see that. Their vows are spoken and the rings are placed. Eva's tears flow and she looks back ~ she's not the only one, the girls are indeed crying as well.

"You may now kiss the bride" as those last words are spoken and Mr. & Mrs. O'Connor lips lock, the crowd stands up and cheers. They make their way out of the church and the rice is thrown as they get in their limo. Police cars and their sirens escort the limousine. Behind the limo, lined up in a V form is DT and behind them, are more racecars, lots of them ~ a whole racing car ensemble. At the hall everything is decorated elegantly. The wedding party sits at their table. The cake is huge, decorated with a glass bride and groom topper. A side table holds the ice sculpture that is a castle. Eva announces the first song and Brian and Mia make their way to the center of the floor. Kelly Clarkson's song "˜A moment like this' begins to play. Gracefully they begin to dance, lost in each other's eyes ~ the only ones in the room for the moment. After the song is done, Dom intrudes and takes Mia by her hand. "˜Have I told you lately' by Rod Stewart plays as brother and sister dance. Brian takes his mother out to dance and couples begin to flood the dance floor. The night continues, magical in every way.

"Time for the bouquet toss" Mia says and the ladies line up behind her.

"They're gonna kill each other out there" Vince says to Dom with a chuckle and he agrees. Even Erica lines up and Eva gives her a shrewd look.

"If you catch that bouquet, I'm sending you back to Jersey" she jokes Erica simply laughs. The Judds "˜Girls night out' plays as Mia pretends to throw it but holds back the bouquet a few times. She counts 1,2,3 and tosses it hard behind her. Hands go up in the air reaching for it but it lands effortlessly in Eva's hands. She looks down at it in shock; she hadn't even tried to catch it. Mia runs up to her and hugs her tightly, Letty and the rest of the girls start screaming with joy ~ Eva is still in shock. Brian looks at Dom who has a grin on his face.

"Now its the men's turn, ladies" Brian says. The girls move to the side as Mia sits and Brian takes off her garter. Men and women alike whoop, whistle and holler. Brian smiles shyly; after he takes it off he kisses her passionately. The men quickly line up behind Brian. Comically enough, The mission impossible theme begins to play and everyone gets a laugh out of that one.

"You guys ready?" Brian raises the garter in the air ready to throw it. Without any counting he throws it back, Vince is pushing Leon out of the way and Jessie is jumping pass Oscar, before they can get any where near it Dom snatches it out from the air.

"No fair, he's taller than all of us!" Jessie whines.

"If any one is going to put this thing on MY girl, it's me" Dom states in a no-nonsense tone.

"That was a set up man" Vince complains.

"Yeah, both the best man and the maid of honor?" Leon retorts looking disappointed.

"Sore losers" Dom teases, he looks at Eva and swings the garter in his finger while licking his lips. Mia takes he the the arm towards the center of the floor. Brian places a chair in the middle and Eva sits. Dom kneels down, in the background, he hears the guys cheering him on. Brian cues the DJ and "˜Oh Yeah' from Yello is played, making Eva stretch in laughter. Slowly he takes off her sandal and caresses her feet. He places the garter on her feet and with both hands begins his way up her leg.

"You lucky dog!" Vince yells as Mini pokes him on the side. Dom takes his time on her calf massaging it; he goes higher and can see Eva biting her lip trying to contain herself. Even with all the people around them, this is turning her on. He grips her thigh and strokes it up and down, purposely taking his time.

"Hey, watch you hands buddy, that's my sister" Oscar yells and Letty laughs. Once the garter is placed he pulls her up off the chair and they kiss. They all take their seats at the wedding party table and Lisa begins tapping her glass, they all follow and Mia and Brian kiss. Dom stands up with his glass and evee ste stays silent.

"I'd like to make a toast. To my sweet little sister, I know you would've loved for dad to walk you down the isle, but I'm glad I had honor of doing so. And I know for a fact that mom and dad would've been proud. Brian you're luckiest man alive" Brian raises his glass to that ~ his aware of that. "Oh, one more thing" Dom turns to Eva who stands up next to him, holding an envelope.

"I wanted to give you this the day of the bridal shower but Dom insisted we wait for today. This is from the both of us" she hands Mia the envelope and she in tgivegives a curious smile. She looks at Brian who shrugs; carefully she opens it and looks at it in disbelief. Brian looks over her shoulder and smiles.

"What is it already!" Letty asks impatiently.

"Oh my God, it's roundtrip tickets to France" her mouth gaps open. She looks at Brian, her eyes shinning in delight.

"Looks like were going to Paris" he says wiggling his eyebrows up and down. She throws herself onto him hugging him tight ~ her dream to go to Paris for her honeymoon had come true.

"Oh Dom, thank you. I love you big brother" she throws her arms around him and cries. She looks at Eva who winks at her with a smile behind Dom. Hours later the last song is announced and all the couples make their way to the dance floor.

Dom pulls Eva close to him. They start slow dancing and looking around at their friends and family. This day would never be forgotten to them ~ another "˜Happily Ever After' episode for the family. Pulling back, Dom looks at Eva for a brief moment before she notices.

"What?" she smiles.

"I'm thankful I have you in my life that's all" he explains. Eva's eyes widen.

"Me too. Did I tell you how good you look in that tux?" she says eyeing him.

"You're utterly amazing, you know that?" Dom kisses her lips, licking them as he backs away to look at her. "You see my sister, how happy she is with Brian" Eva nods looking over at the newlyweds. "I'm going to give you that someday. The whole 9 yards. The big bedrock engagement ring and the biggest wedding ever. Evan the house with the little white picket fence and a dog!" Eva laughs against his shoulder.

"As long as I have you by my side. That's all that matters to me baby. I love you unconditionally " Eva says as Dom pulls her in for a kiss. Now it was Dom & Eva's turn, they were the only ones on the dance floor for the moment ~ lost in each other.
