Chapter Twenty-Five
A/N: Sorry for the long wait. Here’s a long chapter to make up for it. Enjoy!!
No Beta has read this over, so don’t be a grammar Nazi. I’ll fix it at a later date. @ Disclaimer: I do not own the Covenant and make no money from the writing of this fiction. Chapter Twenty Five Madison and her father spent Christmas at the hotel, having a private dinner and exchanging gifts. Aaron had arranged for the moving company to finish boxing all their belongings so that he and Madison could spend as little time there as possible. They would have to sort through everything in Ipswich. The days following Christmas, Madison spent at Raina’s house, explaining to her parents how Raina would do better if she could be with Madison at Spencer and how it would also be a top notch education. Her parents were stunned that Raina’s education would be paid for, but Madison made it sound like she had a fabulous amount of money that she could never spend in one lifetime and having Raina with her would ease the pain of Ben’s passing - for both of them. It was worry for Raina’s depression over the loss of Ben that seemed to be the deciding factor for them in the end. They believed that being with Madison in a new environment would help in that regard. Raina’s old school would have too many reminders of Ben. True to his word, Caleb stayed in the background like a silent sentinel. And though she was grateful for the space he had given her, it was also a comfort to know he wasn’t far. By the time school started again on the Monday after New Year’s Day, Aaron Marish had moved into their temporary cottage on the outskirts of town and Madison now had Raina as her dorm mate. Raina’s parents had accompanied the nervous girl on that first day, saying their goodbye’s in the dorm room that afternoon. When they left, Madison hugged her friend happily. “I’m so glad you are here! I always dreaded that I would get stuck with the roommate from hell, but instead, I get my best friend. This is going to be great.” Raina flopped on the once empty bed. “This place is pretty cool. Even my parents looked impressed. Thanks for getting me in. Though I’m going to hate being ‘the new girl’.” “Yeah, I know what you mean. I was ‘the new girl’ a few months ago. There are a lot of stuck up bitches here. At least you don’t have to face them alone.” “So when do I get to meet that Kira chick?” Raina grinned. “Never would be preferable. She’s a prime example of someone who’s been spoiled rotten all her life and thinks anyone who’s not rich is beneath her.” “You said she had the hots for Caleb, didn’t you?” “Who doesn’t have the hots for Caleb?” Madison grinned. Raina chuckled and shook her head. “I can’t believe you’re sleeping with all those guys.” “What do you mean ‘all‘? There are only four,” Madison laughed. It felt good to girl-talk with Raina after months of hiding her secrets. It seemed to lighten things up and was a sort of therapy in itself. “Do you feel guilty about the girlfriends?” “Yes, especially when it comes to Sarah. She’s really nice too, which makes it worse. But am I suppose to let Caleb suffer and die early? He could have stopped using, like Reid or Tyler’s dads did. He probably would have if I didn’t come along.” “Why did he bring you here then?” “Caleb is the kind of person that takes care of everyone around him - his friends, his mother. I think he agreed to bring me here because he was more worried about the others not being able to stop using. But his mother… I’m sure she pushed the issue because she was afraid that Caleb would give into the temptation of using and end up like his father. Do you know she invites me over so I can have sex with her son?” “That’s seriously weird,” Raina laughed. “Is she like… home when you do it?” “That mansion is huge, Rai. Caleb’s got his own wing. It’s not like she’s in the next room, hearing us through the walls.” “So… he couldn’t resist you, or what? Why didn’t he stay true to Sarah if he’s so crazy about her?” “He brought me here for the others, but then found that his power is drawn to mine. And, since he’s got a ton of it, not only his own, but his father’s too, being in the same vicinity as me was extremely uncomfortable. By the time I came, he had used a lot of power during his ascension and his battle with Chase. We’re talking major power here. His body was screaming for healing. The need was too great for him to resist.” “So is that what you do? Heal them?” “And they heal me too. They are keeping me from the insane asylum. So, I guess I’m stuck being a Delilah.” “It could have been worse,” Raina replied. “They could have been toothless and hideous.” Madison smiled and shook her head. “Just don’t fall for them, because they’ll have to cheat on you. And more importantly, I wouldn’t want you to end up hating me. I already dread the day Sarah finds out.” “You think she will?” “She’s not dumb, Rai. If anyone slips up one bit, she’ll investigate it until she’s uncovered the whole truth. I think she already suspects I sleep with both Tyler and Reid, but she doesn’t say anything because it doesn’t apply to her and Caleb as far as she knows.” Madison sighed. “You think she’ll understand the situation, if she finds out?” “Whether she understands it or not is not the important thing. It’s whether she can accept it.” Raina nodded. “Yeah, that would be a problem.” A knock sounded on the door, startling them from their conversation. Madison rose from her bed and opened it, seeing Tyler and Reid standing there with chocolates and teddy bears. She couldn’t help but smile. “Since when do you knock?” she laughed. “Um… since you have a roommate,” Tyler replied. “We are here to welcome you back to school and to welcome Raina to Spencer.” “That’s so sweet,” Madison said, kissing both their cheeks and ushering them in. “Here,” Reid said, handing Raina a teddy bear and a box of chocolates, “we heard girls like this kind of stuff.” “That was smooth, Reid,” Tyler chuckled. Reid shrugged, flopping down in Madi’s desk chair. “Hey, I’m a man of few words.” “Ha! Don’t believe that, Rai,” Madison laughed, “he’ll talk your ear off once you get to know him.” Reid grinned at Madison. It was good to hear her laugh again. He had been nervous trying to imagine how he should be with her since her attack. Her skittishness toward him after Thanksgiving now made perfect sense. If only he had known what she had gone through he would have never popped around corners to surprise her. But how could he have known? Madi was too concerned with making it seem like nothing had happened to her because she thought she was protecting them. She did everything to pretend things were normal, even though she was probably screaming inside. Now he felt like the skittish one. He wanted her to be able to talk about her experiences, but at the same time he feared bringing the topic up because, for all he knew, Madison and Raina could trying to put it out of their minds so they can get on with their lives. But no one would ever be able to get on with their lives until Chase was taken care of. There would always be the threat of Chase showing up in the back of their minds no matter how hard they tried to ignore it. And another reminder was on the way in the form of Chase’s son. Reid’s eyes covertly glanced at Raina’s midsection. Caleb had informed him last Saturday about Raina’s condition when the Sons met in the crypt to discuss the latest events. It was strange knowing of the pregnancy before Raina even knew. But she’d surely discover it herself within the next month or two. He wondered if she’ll keep the baby, considering who the father is. If she decided to abort it, the Pope line would finally end, unless Chase managed to impregnate another girl before his demise. He wondered if some part of Chase knew he was to die soon. But the families were all in agreement with the matter. If Raina should choose to keep and raise Chase’s son, the mothers of the Sons would take her under their wing and make sure Raina raised a warlock that would turn out like the Sons and not one that would feel isolated, alone, and struggling with who he was - like Chase had. The Pope line had endured centuries of feeling outcast, and the bitterness and anger against the old families had built up and resulted in Chase’s psychotic mindset. Things would be different for the youngest Pope. And Raina would be a mother of a Son - a position that held a lot of clout in this town. The mother’s met weekly, sometimes more, making sure all the details of their lives and the big secret they had to guard stayed intact. They kept tract of all the extended family members, marriages, deaths, births. They decided what families members were loyal and could be trust with important information. It was the mothers whom family members approached with requests for money, help, jobs, college for their kids, and special favors. But for important decisions, it was the warlocks who would have the final say. Usually it was the eldest warlock in the coven that was considered the head of the families. Caleb’s father had held position most of his life, yet Reid and Tyler’s fathers did their best to fill in during the last five years of his illness. The problem was that the Garwin and Simms patriarchs had given up using their powers for the last decade, deciding to preserve what was left of their health and lives. This had left the families with no real power structure to rely on. Until now. With the coming of Madison, there was a new sense of hope as they knew Caleb would not have to suffer the same curse as his father did. The families would begin to flourish again and the power would flow and protect them. Tyler embraced Madison, asking her how she was feeling. They spoke in low tones to one another, then Tyler asked, “Can we cuddle?” Madison nodded, not wanting to leave the warmth and safety of Tyler’s arms. “Might as well hand in your man card right now, Baby Brother,” Reid teased. “What the hell’s your problem?” Tyler said as he sat up on Madi’s bed, placing her between his legs. “Don’t hurt your mangina sitting down like that,” Reid smirked. “Cuddle? No real man says that word.” “You have no concept of what girls like,” Tyler replied, wrapping his arms around Madison as she laid her cheek against his chest. “Oh, I think I do fine in that department,” Reid grinned, making Raina smile a bit. He grabbed a handful of Madison’s markers on her desk and moved his chair next to her bed. Propping her cast on her spare blanket, he got to work decorating. Madison watched him work, her eyes lazily closing at times. It felt so warm and comfortable on Tyler’s chest, listening to his heart beat. Ever so often he placed a kiss on the top of her head. “You tired, baby?” “A bit,” she admitted. “Then rest,” he replied, kissing her head again and twirling a lock of her hair around his finger. He glanced at Raina, not wanting her to feel left out. After all, one of their goals tonight was to start making Raina feel comfortable around them. If Raina felt nervous around them, that would mean they’d get to spend less time with Madi. “So, Raina, it must be weird for you finding out about us,” Tyler began. Raina nodded. “Pretty much.” Reid’s head was bent over his work, but every so often he would peer up through his bangs at the conversation. “But you’re here, so I guess it doesn’t freak you out too much,” Tyler continued. “True. You seem pretty normal right now, I guess. Madison’s told me you guys were cool.” “We are normal… most of the time. It’s not like we constantly need to use or anything.” “Use?” “Our powers.” “Oh. What kinds of things can you do?” “I can show you some things.” Madison stirred in his arms. “Not yet, Tyler,” she spoke against his chest. “Why, Madi? Why can’t he show me?” “Because, Rai, you’ve seen enough lately. And…” “And?” “Our eyes go black,” Madison replied. “It can creep you out. It makes us look non-human. I just think… it’s not time for that yet.” But Madison became distracted by Reid’s artwork and the weird letters he was writing. “Reid, what are those?” “Healing runes,” he replied. “I can’t walk around with witch symbols all over my cast!” “They are going to be incorporated into my pictures. No one will be able to tell they are there.” “Rest, baby, and don’t worry,” Tyler said, kissing her head again. “Reid’s actually a half-decent artist.” “Was that a compliment?” Reid grinned. “Raina, you’re my witness. Tyler has just paid me a compliment. This is an auspicious day, one that will live on in infamy. In honor of this occasion, I take back my mangina comment and hand you back your man card.” Madi let out a little snort of laughter as she lay with her eyes closed against Tyler, making Reid pleased that he had entertained her. He softly pinched her cheek and said, “Awww… my cute little dumpling is pleased.” Her eyes opened a bit. “Dumpling?” Raina was close to laughing from the other bed. “You do look like a dumpling when you sleep, Mads. I mean, your cheeks and lips get all puffy and pouty.” “They do not!” “They do,” Tyler agreed, “but it’s adorable.” The four of them continued to talk and tease one another, as well as fill Raina in on all the Spencer gossip and important things to know. They discussed her class schedule and discovered she would have one class with Madi and two with Tyler. By the time dinner hour rolled around, Raina was feeling fairly at ease around Reid and Tyler, and they walked together to the mess hall, chatting and laughing. Raina’s first day had gone much better than she had expected. OOOOOO The first week back at school wore on and by Thursday Madison was feeling cranky and snappy. All her friends were being nice to her, too nice, and she was getting a bit tired of the ‘careful’ treatment. Another thing that contributed to her bad mood was her lack of sleep. Her nightmares had returned with a vengeance. Sitting now in math class with Raina, Madison zoned out on the teacher as he droned on and on about things she’d never have to use in her life. She felt her energy spike to her brain ever so often, trying to wake her up and keep her in this reality, but she was losing the battle. Her eyes drifted shut, as she could barely stand to stay awake anymore, when Raina nudged her foot with her own. Madi’s eyes flew open and she glanced at her concerned friend. She sighed deeply, deciding to try and focus once more, when she noticed droplets of blood forming in a line on the back of the neck of the boy sitting in front of her. Madison gasped, reaching forward to shake his shoulder and let him know that something was happening on his neck. As she shook his shoulder, the line of blood thickened and then, like a bad horror movie, his head slid off his body and rolled onto the floor. Madison stood and screamed, looking with horror at the scene in front of her. She wondered why everyone else was just sitting there. Why were they staring at her and not the body? “Madi?” Raina spoke, standing next to her. “Are you o.k.?” Madison glanced at Raina and then the body, but the boy was now fine. In fact, he was turned around in his seat, staring at her. “I…” The teacher had now made his way to her side and spoke softly. Most of the staff had already been informed that Madison had suffered an attack over the holiday break. Her father had informed them to Madi’s dismay. “Miss Marish, would you like to take some time to rest? I can give you a pass to the nurses office.” “I can take her,” Raina offered. “Yes, that will be fine.” When the two friends reached the hallway, Raina asked, “What happened in there?” “It’s my visions. They are coming back again. I saw that guy’s head fall off, the one who sits in front of us, and my nightmares are back. Yesterday, I saw dead people in the mess hall. Damn it, Rai, I don’t want to get back on medication, and the Sons don’t seem to want me that way anymore.” “What? It’s obvious they totally love you, Mads. Why would you say that?” “Well they haven’t tried to have sex with me and that’s not normal for them. Not at all. Maybe they don’t want me now that Chase has tainted me.” “That’s crazy talk, Madi.” “Crazy is exactly what I’m becoming!” “I think they are just trying to give you time after what you went through. I don’t get the impression that they lost interest at all. They are putting you first, Madi, instead of their own needs.” “I see they’ve won you over,” Madison said, shaking her head. “Rai, I think I need a few days off. I’m going to call my dad to pick me up. I’m tired of all the attention and coddling. Come and stay with me at the cottage after school on Friday, o.k.?” “O.K.” OOOOOOOO After tons of badgering and questions, Raina finally told Reid and Tyler why Madison had went home on an extended weekend. “She really thinks we don’t want her anymore? Is she nuts?” Reid asked. “She thinks she’s going nuts, yes,” Raina nodded. “We were just trying to give her time,” Tyler added, “let her decide when she was ready for more. Did she say she wanted… more?” “No, not in those words. She definitely doesn’t want those visions back. I really don’t have any advice to give on that, but I do think you guys should talk to her about it and let her know that you still desire her.” “Yeah, we suck, I know,” Tyler said, dejectedly. “We were trying not to bring up what happened because we thought it would make her feel bad.” “But by not talking it out, she’s making assumptions about how you guys are feeling about it and her. That’s not good either.” Tyler gave Raina a small smile. “I can see why she considers you a good friend.” On Friday afternoon, Tyler drove Raina to the cottage Madison and Aaron were living in, finding Madison laying on the sofa watching game shows in pajama bottoms and a Hello Kitty t-shirt. “Now I’m totally humiliated. This was the only thing I could find to wear. I haven’t found the boxes with the rest of my clothes yet,” Madison explained, moving over so Tyler could sit next to her. “Don’t worry about it,” he laughed. “You look cute.” He leaned in and kissed her. “Mmmmmm… and sexy too.” “Liar,” she laughed. “You guys hungry? There’s about ten casseroles in the fridge.” “Ten? I never knew your dad could cook,” Raina said, opening the refrigerator door. “He can cook, but he’s not a casserole man. Those are all from neighbors and members of the old families who want to welcome us to Ipswich.” “Aw man, I should have warned you,” Tyler said, shaking his head. “What?” “Your dad has just become the hottest ticket in town.” Madison laughed. “My dad? He’s only been here a week! How could they know him?” “The families know everything that’s going on. Word travels fast. All the single ladies are buzzing about your dad.” “Is there a shortage of available men in Ipswich or something? What’s the deal?” Tyler rubbed a hand over his face. “Nah, it’s not that. It’s that he’s a Marish.” “So? He’s got no powers and not much money. What’s the big deal?” “His DNA. Think, Baby. He’s capable of producing a witch. Look at the life our mothers enjoy. The other female relatives know they would elevate their status tremendously if they were a mother of a witch. The mothers of the Sons would grant them practically anything they wanted.” Madison crinkled her nose. “Eww. They want to hump my dad. Thanks for that image. I’m never eating a casserole again.” Tyler laughed. “Yeah, our mothers had their weekly meeting at our house on Sunday. I overheard them talking about the ‘shameless’ way the other female relatives are carrying on about Aaron Marish.” “How do I keep those bimbos away? They’ll probably try to seduce him in order to get pregnant,” Madison sighed. “I need to warn him somehow.” “You getting close to telling him?” “Maybe. I’m waiting for the right moment, you know?” Tyler nodded. “Baby, we need to talk.” Madison’s eyes connected with his and she sighed, nodding slightly. “I know.” “Mind if I go take a nap on your bed, Madi,” Raina asked, wanting to give them privacy. “Sure, go ahead,” Madi replied, waiting until Raina was out of sight. “What did Rai tell you?” “Your visions are back,” Tyler replied. “And?” “And you think we’re not attracted to you anymore. You know that’s bull shit, don’t you?” “Is it?” “There’s not a moment that goes by that I don’t want you. But I’m not going to be a pig about it and think only about myself. I love you, Madi. I’ll wait however long it takes for you to want me like that again. If… that evil swine… made you feel like you don’t want to have sex for awhile, then so be it. I’ll respect that and still love you no matter what.” Madi looked down at her hands as Tyler spoke, watching her fingers pick and twist the material of her pajama pant. “I don’t think of what Chase did as ‘sex’. It’s not even close to what I have with you. He hurts me first, so then I just focus on the pain and ignore what he’s doing. It’s like going to a little place in my mind, a hiding place, where he can’t find me. My power… I don’t think it even connects with his. His power is off. Wrong. Probably because of the demon. When he’s done with me, I just drop to the floor. I don’t float down safely, like I do with Caleb. I fall. That’s why I don’t believe I connected with his power.” She felt Tyler’s arm go around her shoulders as he comforted her. She couldn’t help but let a sob escape. “I think he knows that. The second time… he tried a different approach. He said he wanted to make it pleasurable for me. But I was too repulsed by his energy. It was wrong… evil. And I tried to blind him with rue water, but I missed and only ended up making him violent. That’s when he broke my arm.” She began crying harder and Tyler pulled her to his chest, holding her securely. “And then I just focused on my pain, so I didn’t even feel what else he was doing to me. Then Raina and Ben showed up…” Madison stopped talking and sobbed onto Tyler’s chest as the minutes past. Tyler petted her and laid his cheek upon on head. “I felt so damned weak! I’m suppose to be a witch and I couldn’t do anything to protect myself… or Ben. I’m a terrible, weak and pathetic witch! Why do you even like me? You should be disgusted with me.” Madison sobbed. Tyler held her tighter. “Not by a long shot. Listen to me, Madi.” He moved his head back so he could look at her in the eyes. “First off, Chase is an ascended warlock with a demon inside of him. Not to mention he also had his father will him his power before he passed away. Me, Reid, and Pogue… even together we would stand no chance against him.” “Yeah, but you’ll ascend one day too. I’ll always be weak and pathetic.” “Oh cry me a river!” Ben’s voice spoke. “Shut up, Ben, this is none of your business.” Ben materialized in view, arms crossed and a disgusted look on his face. “What did I tell you, Mads? You are more powerful than you know. You just need to discover it.” “Hey, Ben, no offense, but can you give us a bit of alone time here,” Tyler spoke. Ben threw up his hands. “Fine, feel sorry for yourself. I’ll be back later.” And he faded out. Tyler smiled softly at her and kissed her forehead. “He has a point, though. You really don’t know what you can do yet, Baby.” “What good does future powers do for me? I need them now.” “Madi, we are here for you. I want you to stop thinking in terms of ’I’ and start thinking in terms of ’we’. We are here for each other. You are not alone. You’ll never be alone.” Madison laid her head on his chest, feeling his warmth and strength. “I know,” she whispered. “Thank you.” OOOOOOO Raina and Madison slept in on Saturday before being awakened by Ben being his annoying self as usual. “Wakey, Wakey,” Ben announced. “Ugghhh,” Madison grumped. “Go away.” “I had a brilliant idea, Mads,” Ben announced, pacing the room. “I was thumbing through your memories and…” “Wait! What?” Madison awoke, turning her face to him. “Stop invading my privacy like that, Ben.” Raina turned and placed a hand on Madi’s arm so she could see Ben too. “Stop getting huffy with me,” Ben frowned. “I’m trying to help you. Anyway, as I was saying, I was thumbing through your memories and I paused when I got to when you used the tree in my backyard to charge yourself up so you could fly up to the tree house.” “And?” “And, think Madi, what did you feel as you were charging up?” “Tingles.” “Where, precisely?” “Everywhere. But my broken arm mostly.” “Yes!” Ben jumped in the arm. “Mads, I think you were healing yourself. I think you may have the power to heal.” Madison sat up in bed. “It’s still broken.” “Because you didn’t do it for very long,” Ben replied. “I think you should go out into the forest behind this cottage and experiment.” “It’s worth a try,” Raina added. “That would be cool if you could heal yourself, Madi.” Madison shrugged. “Might as well find out.” OOOOOOO Caleb had been doing laps in the indoor pool on his estate when he was hit with Madison’s energy signature. She was using - big time. He quickly flew out of the pool and stepped onto the freezing deck outside, scanning with his senses. He needed to determine if she was trying to fight off Chase, but it seemed that she was using alone. Not even the other Sons had used all morning. He returned back inside and wrapped his towel about him, drying off quickly. He had never felt her use so strongly before and his curiosity was getting the best of him. What was she up to? He really wanted to go to her, but it had been awhile since they had been intimate and he was growing more cautious of being too close to her so his need wouldn’t overwhelm her. Pogue had been doing the same, though he was already suffering with his coming ascension symptoms. He picked up his cell phone and dialed Madi, thinking he’d better call rather than show up. Raina answered Madi’s phone. “Raina? Where’s Madison?” “Oh, hi, Caleb. She’s out back in the woods… experimenting.” “She’s all right?” “Yeah, I think so. Ben is with her. What’s wrong?” “Nothing. I just felt her using and I got curious.” “Oh.” “Tell her I said hi.” “All right.” Caleb hung up the phone, closing his eyes as another wave of Madison’s delicious power hit him. The witch had no idea what she was doing to him. His phone rang and Pogue was on the other end. “What’s she doing?” Pogue groaned. “You all right, man?” Caleb asked. “Hard as a rock for a certain redhead, but yeah, I’m dealing. Fuck, did you feel that again. I don’t know if I can resist going to her if she’s going to keep that up much longer.” “Take a cold shower, bro. I’ll go over there and see what’s up.” “How are you going to resist?” “The best I can.” OOOOOOO Caleb followed Madison’s power signature through the snowy woods, wondering what she could possibly be doing out here. He wasn’t prepared for the sight that met his eyes. A huge bubble of energy, the size of Tyler’s Hummer, pulsed with life and power before him. Inside the bubble, the snow had melted and the trees and ground cover seemed to be in the midst of summer. Caleb was blasted with a tremendous amount of heat from the bubble, making him sweat. But it was the sight of the witch inside that stole his breath away. Due to the heat, she had removed all her clothing, save her red lace boy-short underpants, which emphasized the cute curves of her ass. Her long hair cascaded down her back and chest, framing her enticing breasts. She looked like an ancient pagan goddess as she stood with her eyes closed and her hands on the tree, breathing deeply. Caleb had never wanted anyone more. Her power swirled and pulsed around her, calling to him like a siren of the sea. OOOOOO “Mr. Hottie is here,” Ben whispered next to Madi. “Oooohhh, he’s pacing outside your energy like a caged tiger. He wants you bad.” “Time for you to go, Ben,” she murmured back, without opening her eyes. “Yeah, kick me out when we get to the good stuff,” Ben huffed. “Oh my God, he’s removing his shirt. Oh my, look at that body.” “Go now,” Madi insisted. “Meanie,” Ben said before disappearing. “Remove your shoes, Caleb. This is sacred ground,” Madi spoke, without breaking her concentration on her healing. Madison was alive with feeling and with power. She had been out here a good hour, building the energy around her. Her arm had tingled and pulsed wildly, but had since settled down. The energy burned with heat and she had removed her clothes when she could no longer stand it. Every cell in her body felt empowered and alive. All her senses were acutely aware and receptive. Never had she felt so good. Now she could feel Caleb standing close behind her, hesitating. She knew he was battling with his desire for her and his wish to not pressure her. She felt his breath on her shoulder and her own need for him slammed into her. She could no longer stand him being so close and yet so far. “Touch me,” she whispered. As Caleb slid his hands around her waist and pressed his bare chest against her back, the energy in the bubble expanded with a burst and Madison felt every nerve in her body firing off. Her legs gave way as an orgasm swept through her body leaving Caleb the only thing holding her up. She moaned and convulsed as the orgasm pulsed on, leaving Caleb shuddering with the power of her female energy surrounding him. When she was calmer and able to find her feet again, she noticed that Caleb was still holding her from behind, his face tucked into the crook of her neck, softly chuckling as he kissed her there. “Wow. You must have really needed that,” he teased, softly. “All I had to do was touch you.” Madi lifted her good arm and placed her hand on the back of his head, bending it forward so her lips were close to his. “I need you, Caleb.” Their lips pressed together and Caleb groaned in her mouth, his desire for her evident against her back. His hands began moving over her body as they kissed, cupping her breasts and teasing her nipples. “Take it off,” Madi whispered against his mouth. He moaned in agreement as his hands caressed lower down her belly and his fingers hooked into the top of her panties. “No, not the panties,” she smiled against his lips. “The cast.” Caleb’s hands stilled and he gazed into her eyes. She wanted him to take her cast off? “Madi…” “It’s all right,” she explained, “I think I may have healed myself, Caleb. That’s what I’ve been doing out here. I have to find out if I did or not.” “Baby, I’m not a doctor…” he replied, hesitatingly. “Please, Caleb. I have to know.” How could he resist her request in this moment? He sighed, stepping around her, enjoying the way her eyes swept over his chest as he came into her view. He took her arm and held it horizontal in front of them, with one hand under the cast. He focused his power on making two clean cut-lines down the sides. He glanced at Madison’s face, alive with hope and anticipation, before he carefully lifted the top half of the cast. Her arm lay there, a bit pale from the lack of light, but otherwise appearing whole. Madison let her breath out and swallowed. “Lift it slowly, baby,” Caleb ordered, ready to put the two pieces back together quickly if need be. Madison watched her arm with wonder as she slowly lifted it out the cradle of the cast. She held it in front of her face, gently twisting it in every direction. “Any pain?” Caleb asked. Madison shook her head, her face filled with wonder. Then it dawned on her and a huge smile lit her face. She had done it! She had healed herself. Only two and a half weeks in a cast and she had mended it with her powers. Her powers! “I did it!” she exclaimed. “It worked, Caleb. I can heal.” She held her arm and laughed with joy. “This is awesome. I wonder if I can heal other people too.” Her eyes swept over him. “Do you have anything to heal?” Her joy was contagious and he couldn’t help but be happy for her. “Hmmmm… not at the moment. But, baby, what’s your dad going to say when you come home without your cast?” Madison stepped back, holding her arm. “You will not put that itchy thing back on.” He lifted his eyebrows in question and waited. “I’ll tell him. I’ll tell him tonight, Caleb. Will you help me?” “Yes. I’ll be there for you, Madi.” “Besides, he needs to know about all those women that want his babies.” Caleb grinned, stepping closer to her and stroking her healed arm with his fingers. “Congratulations, Madi, my little healer.” His other hand went up to her face, caressing her cheek as he bent to kiss her. The kiss deepened and Caleb moved his arms around her securely. Madison moved her arms about his neck, pressing herself fully onto him. He felt so good and his skin was hot from her energy bubble. He broke the kiss, rasping, “Tell me to leave, Madi, if this is not what you want. Tell me now…” “I want you, Caleb. I need you,” she rasped back. Their lips devoured one another in desperation and Madison groaned as Caleb’s hands lowered over her rear, lifting her and pressing her hot, need core against his stiff cock. She broke the kiss again, her head spinning with desire. “We can’t…, we can’t do this outside. We’ll float away into outer space.” Caleb laughed against her neck. “Might be hard to breathe up there. Hang on tight baby. You’re going to like this.” Madison felt her whole world shifting as Caleb held her tightly against her body and connected their energies. Everything around her became smoky grey and see-through and a loud buzzing sounded in her ears. “What’s happening?” she asked. “We’re becoming transparent. I wouldn’t want anyone to see us flying to my house, would I?” She squealed in surprise as he launched into the air with her in his arms. Everything seemed blurry and out of phase and she realized that they were the ones who appeared blurry and out of phase. When she got over her initial shock, she was able to enjoy the sensation of being lighter than air and the wind caressing them as they soared home. It made her think of how the Death Eaters traveled in the Harry Potter series. Did they look like that? The next thing she knew she was standing in Caleb’s bedroom and he was still holding her as they materialized back to normal. Madison laughed. “That was awesome!” Caleb picked her up and carried her to the bed. “This is going to be awesome.” OOOOOOO A/N And you get all the awesome details next time. Sorry I had to stop. I wanted to get this chapter out this weekend and I’m out of time to write more for now. I hope you enjoyed this. Please send me your thoughts. I love to hear from you.
