Wrecked
Wrecked.
Mia smiled over at Lora, turning down Hollywood Blvd. They were headed towards the medical center where Mi was taking her nursing classes to catch an appointment with Lora's baby doctor. She was already seven months pregnant, experiencing abnormal pains in her lower stomach for the past few days.
"Are you sure you’re alright? We can stop down here at the next gas station ---.."
Lora nodded, assuring her friend that she could make it to the doctor's without having to stop for a 'pee' break. The ache in her stomach had finally subsided and she just wanted to rest until the trip was over.
"Jesse looked really nervous this morning. I tired to convince Dom to let me go with the team to pick up the parts but he said he needed Jesse today. I really don't think Jess liked that very much."
Mia turned into the medical center, parking as close to the building as she could get.
"He just doesn't want anything to be wrong with the baby.." Lora murmured quietly, half-rolling out of the vehicle as they made their way to her appointment.

Jesse gripped the steering wheel until his knuckles turned white, waiting as patiently as he could for Vince and Leon to return with the merchandise.
His mind buzzed with thoughts of Lora,deridering how she was doing - how their baby was doing. She had been complaining with stomachaches for nearly a week before he had talked her into going to check it out - just to realize he couldn't be there with her.
"Yo, Jess. Give us a hand." Vince ordered, throwing several large boxes on the ground beside the car. Jesse stepped out of the vehicle and went towards frs friends, lifting the first box.

"Pressure from the way the baby's laying, that doesn't song serious at all." Mia assured, giggling as Lora climbed into her car. "I'm glad its just that."
"Still hurts.." Lora muttered, holding her stomach as she tried desperately to buckle her seat belt. However she tried to sit - it was uncomfortable.
"We'll be home in a minute then you can go crash on the couch."
Lora smiled, turning towards Mia - her eyes growing large as she watched a reckless driver coming at them on their side of the road.
"Shit..." Mia cried, swerving to miss the vehicle. She pulled out of the way and sighed in relief - only to be smacked hard in the tailgate by a turning driver. Her small blue vehicle spun out into the intersection, colliding with three other cars before it stopped.

Dom sat the phone back down on the receiver and ran a hand over his face - not noticing Leon and the others pull into the garage with his supplies. After a minute of rational thought, he gathered up his paperwork and walked back towards the building.
"Jess, man. We gotta go somewhere."
Jesse pulled himself out of his car and looked around, realizing that Mia and Lora had yet to come home from the doctor’s appointment. His heart fell into his stomach when he saw the look on Dom's face and words would not form past his lips.
"Yo, is everything alright dawg?"
Leon walked around the car and looked at Dom, seeing the same expression that Jesse had.
"Yeah.. there's been an accident, but.."
Jesse clutched the door handle on his car; his breath becoming harder and more desperate.
"It's alright, Jess.. just.."
"No. Don't tell me.. don't fucking say it." The emotion in his voice startled his friends, causing Dom to walk over to him and put a hand on his shoulder.
"She's okay, Jess. The car's wrecked though so we gotta go get them from the hospital. I'll drive."
Jesse closed his eyes, a few tears slightly forming at the corners as he whispered a prayer of thanks to the heavens.
"Come on, Einstein."
