CHAPTER 28/32
ANGELUS VS. RIDDICK
Beast and Demon took their stances. Riddick was in Shivmode and Angelus was in Vampmode. They began to circle each other while holding eye contact. Riddick Resembled Neo from “The Matrix.” He was totally in his own “Ridtrix.”
“One Rule…There Aren’t Any,” Riddick roared.
“Damn, two duels at the same time, it’s gonna get ugly up in here,” like Bubba Sparxxx,” Gunn said with a slight grin.
They all couldn’t help but watch the beat down. The beast was growling impatiently. It craved the metallic taste of Angelus’ blood but Riddick wanted to wait. He didn’t want to ghost him…just kick his ass. All he needed was for Angelus to make the first move and the showdown was on and popping real properly like.
Well, his wish had come true. It seemed Angelus grew cocky and anxious to throw the first punch. He caught Riddick’s left jaw. Now, the beast had gotten its wish too!
Riddick was on his a$$ like a shimmer of light. He shived him once on each arm, it was just enuff to slow him down. Riddick was very tempted to get shivhappy on him but he growled it off. He remembered that although Angelus was in control now, Angel was still there. So, he put the shiv back in his pocket. He’d rather use his rough and very skillful hands anyway.
Besides, the shiv was used to “Shiv and Ghost em’” quickly. Angelus has been begging for a much longer, painful, and slower lesson in “The Ways of Riddick.” Just a knock out-drag out lecture in Ridology 101!
He punched him square in the face.
“Damn It, Not My Face. You never hit a vamp in the face…” Angelus said cockily.
“What’s the matter…purrty boy! I’ve made such an improvement. You should really thank me,” Riddick spat back with a grin.
Angelus managed to free himself from Riddick’s hold and flipped him over. Riddick fell backwards to the ground. The hard fall made him scrape his right arm. Angelus tried to kick him several times but only succeeded once. Riddick then grabbed Angelus’ foot and used that as support to get up. That resulted in Angelus falling right on his a$$. Riddick returned his earlier favor by kicking him twice in the head. The Demon tried to grab his leg but the Beast moved with such stealth.
Every time Angelus tried to get up, Riddick would just knock his ass right back down.
“C’mon “Stake2dust,” haven’t you learned yet? You’re royally getting ya a$$ kicked RiddickStyle. Do us both a favor and “stay the hell down…like Shazza should have done,” Riddick recommended.
Angelus didn’t want to admit defeat so he tried one more time.
Somehow he turned Riddick around and grabbed his shiv. He stood up waving it around all willy nilly only hitting air. Riddick dodged him at every nook and cranny.
“You need to put that down before you hurt yourself! This shiv only answers to one beast…and I am he,” Riddick warned.
Riddick took a few steps closer and Angelus tried to stab him. Riddick forcefully grabbed his arm, bending it. The shiv fell to the ground and Riddick kicked it away. Angelus fell on his knees, caressing his injured arm. Riddick took that opportunity to put one foot on his back. This made Angelus fall face down on the ground.
He reached inside Angelus' pockets and pulled out the exact same ropes that were used on him.
“Your first mistake was messing with me.” He then tied Angelus’ wrists together xxxactly how his were tied. He also tied his legs together because he didn’t want to take any chances.
“Your second mistake was messing with my… friends…” Then he dragged Angelus where the others were. He tossed him on the ground near the statue.
“Your third and worst mistake was going after Jack! Watch him,” Riddick said to no one in particular. They all eyed him with total and utter astonishment.
****CORDY VS. DEV****
Dev and Cordy were circling each other as well. Wes started to intervene but Gunn stopped him.
“Let them all duke it out dawg. We’ll help if need be. “Gunn advised.
They returned to the girls and resumed working on The First Phase of “The Ghostination.”
Like Riddick, Cordy wanted to wait for Dev to throw the first punch. Like Angelus, Dev grew weary and rushed Cordy. She kicked Cordy on her side knocking her down hard.
“You Stupid Tart. You really shouldn’t have done that, “Cordy threatened.
She stood up and started to levitate up from the ground.
“Oh, two can play that game….Corny,” Dev countered back.
She levitated as well towards the shined sky. They played “tag” while airborne. Dev would stryke Cordy making her fall. Cordy would get back up and return the favor. They did this “tango” a few times then Cordy got weary.
Her eyes began to emit that silvery glow again. She floated in the air as her whole entire body emitted this amazing glow. The wind began to blow all around her…what an eerie yet amazing sight. The others got a glimpse of the light and looked on.
“Enough is enough “DimwitDev!” Cordy bellowed.
When she raised her hands, a bright light was emitting from her fingers. It looked like lightening. She pushed her arms out towards Dev, sending her skittering across the ground. A few seconds later, Cordy landed back on the ground and passed out. That might’ve used all of her energy that she saved up. Gunn ran to get her but he was knocked down. Dev shot up from out of nowhere and flew away with Cordy.
Wes went to help his friend. Once Gunn collected his composure, they took off after them.
“Rid, we got this…you go get your girl,” Gunn said.
“Oh my god, that psycho just snatched Cordy,” Kelly said.
“This wasn’t supposed to happen, poor Cordelia,” Fred cried out.
“Don’t you dare cry for her. I ’m sure they’ll bring her back safely. Dev is another story,” Riddick said with a grin.
“This better work Fred. This better be “The Source of Evil.” Riddick said.
“Riddick, This Will Work!! Silver reacts to sulfur dioxide in air or other sulfur
compounds. Remember that sulfur dioxide is a heavy, colorless, suffocating gas, SO2, easily liquefied and used as a bleach, disinfectant and refrigerant. Thank God that we found all of those bottles of Pine-Sol in the shack. By dousing it on this statue, it will begin to tarnish. Hopefully, this will weaken its power and in turn it will weaken Shine. It will also bring Angel back to us.” Fred said.
"Maybe you should pretend like you're talkin' to someone educated in the penal system. In fact, don't pretend," Riddick said.
Fred gave him a lil smile apologizing for getting all-scientific on him.
Riddick took a closer look at the statue. He noticed one dark area at the base of the statue. So it was working…slowly but surely. “Okay, I got an ass to Shine and a Jack to find. If we don’t make it you know what to do. I’m out,” Riddick said as strolled on.
Fred and Kelly said bye and wished him luck. As he walked away, he heard footsteps nearing them. He growled as he turned around. He scanned the area to see if anyone was there. He saw a very tall figure approaching him. It was none other than Keith. Riddick quickly went for his shiv until he saw a familiar face.
Imam!
“It’s okay, Mr.…Cari,” Imam said as he walked out of the shadows. “All praises to Allah!” Imam chanted as he stood before him giving him a knowing look.
Riddick stood in shock. “H…Holly Man?” he mumbled out silently thanking him for being discrete.
Imam extended his hand and Riddick took it. Riddick asked who was with him and Imam began to introduce them.
Beth followed behind and greeted her very shocked friends.
“Beth! What The Hell Are You Doing Here?” Kelly asked totally taken aback.
They exchanged horror stories afterwards Beth took off after Cordy. Some of the others had offered to go with but Beth refused. She knew first hand how twisted and demented Dev really was. She had to handle this one all on her own.
Riddick and Stokley hit it off from jump. They both had a score to settle with Shine and a woman that they loved. Riddick assured Imam that he’d bring Jack to him. Keith said his good-byes to Darla and David. Riddick then led the way towards Shine’s Shrine. Imam immediately began to pray to Allah with Jack’s beads.

“Now, I can finally ghost your ass. “ Dev gloated with pure wickedness.
Cordy was still in a daze. She tilted Cordy’s head and knelt down to bite her neck. As her fangs were about to pierce Cordy’s neck, someone screamed out her name.
“Dev Let Her Go…Now!” Beth demanded.
Dev looked up with a puzzled expression on her face. She dropped Cordy on the ground. Beth was in Dev’s face in an instant.
“Hmm, don’t tell me that you let Bad2daboneBeth out to play!! Dev said mockingly.
“Exactly! She’s…Out To Kick Your Evil Ass!” After the party, it’s off to the lil white room again. You know, the one filled with soft padded wallz,” Beth spat back.
They were inches apart when Dev struck first. Beth put her “game face” on and went to work on her “friend.” She sucker punched her on the jaw twice. Dev stumbled back from the blows. She lunged back and hit Beth squarely in the stomach. Beth bent over holding her stomach. Dev thought she was down for the count and went to kick her. Beth quickly caught her foot and twisted it. She pushed her backwards and Dev fell hitting her head hard on the ground. Beth walked up to her to see if she’ll get up. Nope, ol Dev seemed to be “knocked out.”
Beth turned and walked towards Cordy. Cordy was making subtle movements so she was coming out of her haze. As Beth started get up, she saw a shadow hovering over her. She slowly turned around to see who it was. It was Dev holding a huge rock over he head. She was barely standing and was leaning from side to side.
“Oh God Dev, Put It Down. You Don’t Want To Do This,” Beth pleaded.
Dev motioned to drop the rock on Beth but it was knocked out of her hands. “What The…”Dev trailed off as she saw who knocked it out.
“Hello Dev, Did You Miss Me?” Nessa asked with Razure right beside her.
“Nessa!” Beth and Dev yelled in unison.
Yes. Backup Had Arrived!!

When Team Riddick reached the fortress, they hid in the shadows. They waited until the guards disappeared and then made their move. Riddick went to the left while the others went to the right. The guys cautiously crept across the way avoiding the surveillance camera. After they escaped being detected they rushed Shine’s men. Stokley and his men were busy kicking pesky singing guards a$$es!! There were bodies being thrown around and battered. Punches being thrown left, right, upside down, diagonally, and backwards. It Was A Warzone!! The guards were so occupied in the battle that they didn’t notice Riddick.
Now, was the purrfect time for him to “get busy” with his Jack.” He crept to the side of the mansion where Jack’s room was. He was very aware of the surveillance camera and tried to avoid it. There was a ladder along side the mansion and he climbed it. From there he climbed a ledge that led to Jack’s balcony.
“Hold on baby, Riddick’s here,” Riddick declared.
