It Is Finally Clear To Me
Chapter 3
------------------
Jack stood in his doorway, looking over to where his bed was.
Ever since she died, Jack had never slept in that bed. The thought of
lying somewhere where she had once lay scared Jack.
His sorrowed expression soon turned to anger as he clenched his fist.
The thought of Barbossa, having her in that bed crossed his mind.
Jack screwed his eyes shut, trying to block it out.
When he came to, his fist had gone through his wall. He looked at it in
suprise, withdrawing his fist, and shaking it.
He peered through the hole and saw his crew, all stopped work and
staring at the hole.
Jack grinned before turning and heading towards his couch.
"Jack is acting wierder..." the tiny sailor said, dropping a big rope and
placing his hands on his hips.
"Dunno bout you lot, but I've had enough!" Anamaria said, leaving her
post and marching straight towards Jack's quarters.
"No-no! Tis frightfully bad luck to-" Gibbs tried explaining, getting thrown
out of the way by Anamaria.
Without knocking, she threw open the door, marching in.
"Anamaria!" Jack smiled, raising his arms, as if ready for an embrace.
Instead, he was greeted by a sharp pain across his face.
He shook his head and starred at her. "..Did I deserve that?"
Anamaria nodded, a cross look stuck upon her face.
"Stop acting like a jack-ass!"
"Hmm?" Jack said, a slight confused look on his face.
Another jolt across the face.
"All the times we've been to Tortuga you've never mentioned her, or
never acted like you have the past two days!"
Jack rolled his eyes. "Anamaria..."
"Let me finish!" she yelled, crossing her arms. "Its all in the
past...Barbossa is dead...you got your revenge...we got our revenge for
what he did to us...move on!"
"Anamaria.." began again, diverting his eyes to flo floor.
"I mean...sure, she was your wife...but we all lost soe spe special thanks
to them!"
"ANAMARIA!" Jack yelled, grabbing her by the arms.
Anamaria cocked a brow, looking sternly at her captain. Jack bowed his
head, took a deep breath, and returned his gaze to her.
"Let me tell you...more about her..." He dropped his arms and plumped
himself on his bed, stroking it where she had once sat.
"Only days after we met, we were married. Barbossa wanted the
coordinates for the gold. They had waited patiently...but I was married
now. I no longer wanted to go gallavanting around after treasure....I had
my treasure..." Jack sighed and paused for a few moments.
Anamaria joined him on the bed, looking at him straight in the eye.
"I sailed my ship one last time to where we had previously hid our
treasure. I took my fair share and was on my way back to her...when it all
happened. When I returned to the pearl, she was lying there, blood all
over her. Barbossa said he wanted coo coordinates, or he's kill her then
and there. I had no choice....Raine was everything to me. I told them. On
the way there, they raped and tortured her infront of me, before
marroning me and sailing off with her. After escaping, I lived alone for a
few years, getting drunk and having whores. But none of these women
satisfied me like she did...and I dont think any will..."
Anamaria gave a saddened look.
"It had been a good while before word reached us about the Black Pearl
and their curse. It had been said a whore they had been sailing with had
been left in Tortuga, as the crew sacked the town. It was Raine. I hurried
back to Tortuga...but when I reached there, I had been told she was dead.
The day before I returned, Raine found out she was carrying a bastard
child...so she threw herself off the cliff into the sea. All that was found
was a necklace I gave her, the first night we met..."
Jack looked at Anamaria. "My desire to be a pirate has been fading ever
since that day...and now I feel...the desire has faded as far it can..."
Anamaria shot up. "Jack...don't talk daft!"
Jack joined Anamaria, looking her up and down. "She had your will you
know...thats why I've always liked you love..."
Anamaria blushed, before letting her hand strike her Captain yet again.
"...I desrved that?!" Jack answered, swaying slightly.
"YES!" with that, she turned and headed to the door. "Jack...they say you
never forget your first love, but they also say you'll never forget your last
love."
"Ah, but what if your first love is also your last love?" Jack said in a
contemplative mannor.
"You are daft Jack..." Anamaria smiled. "You'll find her...maybe she'll be a
common Whore, maybe a barmaid....maybe even a Pirate. But you will
find her..." She blushed, before leaving.
Jack stood there, thinking about what she had just said.
"There was a lot of references to her and me then..." he grinned to
himself.
"Anamaria...maybe you could be worth staying a pirate for...I guess time
will tell?"
Jack sighed, reached for his hat, and placed it firmly on his head.
He sauntered over to his door, threw it open, and raised his hands in
delight.
"gentlemen...and...lady, YOUR CAPTAIN IS BACK!" He grinned, waiting for
the applause, peering out to his crew.
"Didn't know ye left Jack," Gibbs said, leaning on his mop.ck'ck's face dropped. His crew didn't even realise, apart from Anamaria,
that he was on the brink of leaving them? He shrugged. Thats what made
his crew so special he guessed...every single one of them were worth
staying for...

A sequel is in production. Think of this as a prologue to the story yet to
