Shinigami No kootaku

The four turtles had been alerted by Casey Jones that Satori might have a stalker of some sorts a few weeks back. With their line of work, a stalker was a bad thing. In the past it had resulted in their home being invaded and Splinter being kidnapped. Anyone who had any links to them was carefully watched whenever possible. They had been there for Casey when he started his life with Satori, and through many of his choices, like marriage. They would be there for his family now.
They had been happy that Casey was getting married, especially to Satori. They had met her before, both as herself, and as Shinigami. She too fought crimes in New York. They hadn't known until now, that the two very different entities were connected. They had had their reservations about the figure Shinigami. Her name meant Angel of Death, and she was a ninja, fighting in the same style that the Foot used. They thought she had worked for the Shredder.
Leonardo remembered that big confrontation. They had ended up fighting her one night, but she came back the next night and saved their lives. She had gotten really hurt, but would not allow them to help her after the danger had passed.

~~~ Flashback~~~

"I cannot allow you to assist me. I am a being of darkness, atoning for the evils of your forebears. You have no such thing on your conscience, do not let me taint yours." Shinigami said.
She was kneeling on the ground, her cloak was in tatters, and one of the giant bat wings that made up her costume was shredded and bleeding, as if it were a true limb. The shadows surrounding them seemed to be drawn to her, and snaked around her face and hands, covering anything that might have given her true identity away. She winced, coughing. Michaelangelo gasped, seeing the blood that started dripping before her on the ground. Then they turned suddenly, Satori looking up into the shadows, with a motion from her, the shadows parted to reveal a rat.
"The evils you atone for are not yours. You are the light that comes from the dark. You are a star, a light to shine on those around you , for them to remember when all seems lost and to give them strength." Splinter said. "You are no longer the Shinigami, but Shinigami no Kootaku, you are light and death you are in balance."
"Sensei, I thank you for your trust." She said, and passed out on the ground.

~~~Normal time~~~
Leonardo remembered that well, Sensei had taken Shinigami no Kootaku back to their home, and helped heal her. He had not let the four of them near her, having promised to keep her identity a secret. Leonardo felt that Splinter had known all along who Shinigami really was, but wished for them to find out when the time came. The thing they had been fighting that night had been yet another creation of the Shredder. It had been huge, and very vicious. They still did not understand how a man like the Shredder could survive as he had. He figured that the Shredder had a good health insurance plan at the very least.
Raphael had alerted them to the movement of the foot. Leonardo remembered how breathless he had been when he announced that they had made their move. Casey had asked them to take turns watching the apartment. He guessed Keno had felt something bad was going to happen. Keno had that weird talent, especially after he had found that Satori was his twin sister.
At first the felt it was going their way, like usual with the foot. Most were on the ground, groaning or unconscious. Michaelangelo and Donatello were busy making sure the foot that were down, stayed down for the count. Most were getting duct taped together. Michaelangelo had a sense of humor, though most didn't find it very funny at important moments. But Leo just figured that he had to get the nerves and worry out some how.
Then came the words that made them all freeze in horror and in shame. "Stop or she dies!"

Shinigami no Kootaku literally translated from Japanese means God of death and Light. But I translate Shinigami as Angel of death for this and not God.
