Shannon had waited u the the ship had become quiet before making her way on deck. A cool breeze ruffled her hair and chilled her bare arms yet it felt so good. She smiled and lent over the barrier to peer into the dark swell of water below her, watching as the white flecks of foam broke against the ships hull. Freedom was only one more escape away from her, but how she did not know. This Sparrow fellow seemed somewhat fairer than Roy but his intentions were the same, his greed meant more to him than her freedom. Sighing she went to straighten herself , a small cry escaping her lips as a hand clamped round the back of her neck forcing her to bend further over the barrier.

“NamShanShannon could not answer straight away, her hand scrambled frantically to catch hold of something to prevent her from toppling straight into the sea.

“Name?” Jack demanded again pushing her further causing her bare feet to lift from the deck. She winced as her hip bones dug into the hard wood of the barrier yet she kept her mouth shut.

“Listen love, I don’t have all day, who are you?” Jack pressed himself against her butt to prevent her from falling straight over the edge of the boat, she was completely at his mercy.

“Ok,” she rasped and his grip slackened somewhat. “Let me go.” he stepped back and she turned to face him, her eyes burning with anger. “You’re a cruel man Sparrow.” she sidestepped away from the barrier and narrowed her eyes on him. Jack only grinned his smugness.

“Aye love, but only if your on the wrong side of me.” Shannon stayed quiet meeting his eyes and holding them with venom.

“I would rather not be on any sides of you,” she said coldly, turning on her heel to walk away.

“What’s your name love?” Jack reached out and grabbed her wrist pulling her gently to face him, his softer approach having no more effect on her than his hard approach. She smiled and turned again, snatching her hand away and quickening her pace.

“There is no point in running and hiding darling,” Jack met her pace and blocked the door that led below deck, “I know every nook on this shid ild ill find you, so tell me now and ill let you go.”

Shannon weighed up her odds with the pirate, he wasn’t overly tall but a had a good build and was probably a lot stronger than her, but was he as quick? Her hand shot out ready to gouge at his face, his eyes did not flicker as he caught her wrist.

“Now now, no need for that.” he growled. Shannon licked her lips and stepped away from him.

“I’m not going to tell you anything.” she said quietly. Anger finally flooded the cin ain and he stepped towards her backing her towards the door of his cabin.

“We’ve had this conversation, and I thing we came to the conclusion that you don’t have any choice.” Shannon only grinned at his anger infuriating him further.

“You tell me darling,” he warned leaning closed and raising his hand as though he meant to hit her. Shannon eyed the impending attack and curled her mouth into a sneer.

“Are you going to beat it out of me?” she snarled and Jack lowered his hand letting a small cgringrin crawl across his lips.

“I have other ways of interrogating a woman, if you can call yourself that.” his hand lowered and rested on her hip causing her to take isharsharp breath. His mouth moving closer until it rested next to her ear.

“All you need to do is tell me and it will all stop love,”

Shannon draw back startled by this new attempt at finding out her identity, she was not familiar with it but it scared her more than violence ever could. His hand slid down her paralysed body until it rested at the hem of her wildcat skin skirt, she felt as though his fingers burned her skin as he rested it on the inside of her thy.

“Deher, Shannon Deher.” she stammered finally and Jack pulled back looking almost relived himself that he did not have to go further.

“That wasn’t so hard now was it?” he grinned stepping away from her and allowing her to scurry away. He watched her go, disappearing down the stairwell feeling almost sorry for her. Not for her really but for who she was, a walking fortune and one that he was not going the let get away. Grinning at his new found wealth he went inside his cabin taking care to lock the door behind him. He didn’t want her sneaking in and murdering him in his sleep.
