“Oh my god!” Clarice started to panic when she saw the loss of his hand. “Please, please, please don’t say that
he’s angry! Is he going to take some revenge?” Then it was if that train of thought had hit a brick wall. “Wait a
minute, Hannabil made that choice, and he never regrets anything that he does because he thinks calmly and
knows the measures he’s taking. He’s here for another reason, what it is truly; Hannabil would never tell me the
truth that easily. He’s lying, besides ‘This’ could mean anything.” She took a deep breath and looked back to Hannabil.
“Where are you taking me Doctor Lecter?” returning to her calm cool tone of voice. She watched his lips twitch
into the slightest of smiles.
”Clarice do you like surprises?” He let the grin come full out at the end of his sentence Clarice could see it as
he glanced over at her with ‘Those’ eyes.
Clarice grit her teeth, “Not when dealing with you Doctor Lecter” She tried to make the remark a little biting,
judging by his expression she did better than she though: whether that’s a good thing or not?
He looked over to her cocking an eyebrow into an arch, as he regarded her from the corner of his eye. “Well now
Clarice, you know I wouldn’t ever harm you…as long as you’re a good girl, hm?” He smirked at her, she hated that.
Sighing, refusing to answer his snide remark, but not wanting to push things further since nothing would come out
of it, except rising anger within him maybe and that’s never a good thing when dealing with Hannabil. She decided
to study then interior of the car instead, “Classic, dark, and powerful at any age.’ With those thoughts her eyes
roamed over him. ‘He aged very well, still handsome, powerfully built, his aura, a mix of so many things, resonated
strongly.’ She glanced back down to his wrist wrapped in that rich fabric, she couldn’t help but feel guilty. Then she
blinked in astonishment. ‘How could I feel guilty?! He’s one of the most wanted criminals in the US and I feel bad
for trying to bring him back in? What is wrong with me?’ She decided to stop thinking and just look mindlessly out
the window until she realized they were slowly pulling up in front of a grand hotel that towered above them. A valet
came out and opened her door for her, she stepped out and looked over her shoulder to see Hannabil step out and
walk around to offer her his arm. ‘Damn him, I have to take it as to not raise any suspicion or piss him off!’ She gave
a fake smile but let him know what she felt about it with her steel eyes. As they walked by the valet he handed over the keys.
Hannabil led her into the luxurious hotel and into an elevator just as luxurious. He then led her to a gorgeous suite
near the top floor. “Why doctor have you taken me to your hotel room? Isn’t this idea a little below you? She quipped
in an icy tone; she did not want to be completely alone with him!
He met her icy glare perfectly balanced and calm. “My dear starling, I just brought you here so that we could get ready
to go out somewhere classier,” he scoffed “you did not think that we could go somewhere that holds status dressed like
this did you?” He motioned to their attires.
Clarice just blinked not knowing how to respond she hadn’t expected that, an unintelligible “Oh” was the only thing that
would come out. Hannabil just smiled warmly which sent Clarice reeling ‘how often does anyone see that? It’s probably not genuine.’
“I have a gown that should be suitable for you.” Hannabil told her over his shoulder as he walked over to a closet. He pulled
out a stunning cream coloured silken gown that shimmered when the light hit it. It was draped around the neck and plunged
down in the back into a deep V. “I’ll change in the sitting room,” he motioned to his side opposite the large bed, “you may
change in here.” He bowed his head slightly retreating into the next room and shitting the French doors behind him.
Clarice groaned inwardly but picked up the gown anyways. Her toes curled as she felt the gown it felt as thought it was melting
as she slid the fabric between her fingers. Finally she warily glanced around knowing Hannabil was a gentleman but still, and
then slipped out of her clothing and into the gown. “Hah I didn’t need help to zip up this thing.” Clarice grinned to herself
thinking how embarrassing it could have been. “But no not embarrassing, annoying, because he’d enjoy it too much.”
As Clarice was smoothing down the gown she heard a tap as Hannabil warned her he was coming back in. “How did you make
out my dear?” Hannabil asked in a sweetly sick tone. Clarice Turned around to face him; Hannabil was standing in the doorway
dressed neatly in a black tuxedo, with his silver grey hair slicked back cleanly, Clarice licked her lips subconsciously appreciating his looks.
“..Fine Doctor, now may we leave?” Clarice put her hands on her hips trying to look defiant but secretly relishing the feeling of
the fabric and the hansom doctor in front of her. ‘I should be angry with him, get in control Clarice!’ When she turned her
attention back to Hannabil his lips twitched suppressing a smile, Clarice felt a jolt of shock go through her. ‘He knows I checked
him out. No, I hope he didn’t notice. Damn it, I blaming the wine!’ Clarice scowled a fine line appearing between her brows.
“My dear calm yourself,” he grinned “We shall be off soon enough. Besides I can’t take you out if you’re not going to be good
and act proper when in such an environment.” Clarice started to protest, ashamed of herself, but he continued apparently ignoring
her attempt to retort. “We can go as soon as you get your hair done.” With that being said he turned going towards the lavish
bathroom, complete with marble counter tops, elegant soft hued floor tiles, and a large oversized Jacuzzi with a variety of oils
placed around it. Clarice regretted having to go….where ever they were headed, and not being able to have a bath right then
and there. There was an array of bobby pins, elastics, and such on the counter, Clarice pulled her hair back and started to
throw it up in something quick in anxiety to finally be going and get this game finished with. Hannabil clicked his tongue
at her and grabbed her hands. “Tsk, tsk, Clarice patience my dear. You can put your hair up quickly but does it have to
be so messy?” He grabbed her hands and put them in front of her, and then pulled a plush chair that was sitting in the corner.
“Here, sit!” Clarice curious and a bit confused obeyed, as Hannabil reached over and grabbed a few bobby pins putting them in
his teeth, taking her auburn silken hair into his one good hand. “I’ll need your assistance of course, Clarice.” a smug expression
on his face.
”Oh!” Clarice flushed and raised her hand back letting him direct her hand the blue silk caressing her skin.
”Hand me those jade hair pins would you?” Clarice took them into her other hand, they felt cool to the touch, and handed them
to him. But shivered when she felt his hand graze the back of her neck, she could feel her skin raise into goose-bumps as the
shiver ran down her spine. She could see Hannabil grin as he watch her shiver at his touch. “Thank you Clarice but you should
stay still,” his eyes twinkling “you might slip then we’d have to start all over again.”
Clarice was furious with herself for letting him visibly see her reaction to his touch. So she forced herself to stay stone still,
her expression blank, while Hannabil surprisingly deftly put her hair up elegantly with her ‘helping hand’. Clarice in her shock
had not noticed Hannabil leaning over to put his face beside her exposed neck, behind her right ear as he whispered in his
velvety voice “There now isn’t that better my Starling?” Goose-bumps raised across her neck spreading like wild fire, she let
out a oft breathy gasp in shock, her hands clenched in fists in her lap, her toes curling : Even her own body couldn’t figure
out how to feel towards Hannabil! Hannabil ginned before pulling away from the stunned Clarice. ‘Gah! I let my guard down!
Why was I so careless, and he keeps doing this to me. I feel so weak, am I still drunk? Was I even in the first place?...GAH…
Okay Clarice clam yourself girl. Get a grip you are Special Agent Clarice Starling, start acting like it.’ Pulling out of her internal
conflict she saw Hannabil had left her she got up warily. She was about to turn the corner out of the bathroom when Hannabil
appeared holding a pair of cream coloured opaque heels that had a wide silk ribbon that fastened around the ankle. Clarice
sharply inhaled her breath, jumping back panting as Hannabil scrared her senseless. “God!” Clarice put a hand across her
heaving chest.
“I’m sorry did I startle you?” He gave a Cheshire grin.
Between gasps Clarice managed to give a confirmative, then scowled when she had calmed herself.
”I was just bringing you shoes, unless you wanted to go barefoot?” He scoffed at the notion.
Clarice grabbed the shoes from him, and sat down grumpily. ‘Damn him, this game is being drawn out at every step of the way.’
She clasped the ribbon around her ankle then stood up. “Can we get this over with now Doctor Lecter? You have me dolled up
now lets go!” She put her hands on her hips angrily. Hannabil started to chuckled, and Clarice sighed in response. “What now?”
“You don’t realize how mismatched it seems: dressed like a proper lady my l;ittle Starling, but yet you refuse to act like one. I
promise that you will enjoy this evening.” He smiled at her, she didn’t know whether it was sincere or not, but she had this weird
feeling it was actually genuine: that scared her most of all. “Well my dear, shall we leave?”
Clarice just nodded slowly contemplating what Hannabil was up to. She followed him out of the bathroom stiffly. Once in the
entryway to the suite Hannabil turned around and draped a thick heavy waist-length cape over her shoulders. He offered her
his arm and she accepted without complaint as Clarice was far-gone in her own thoughts. Next thing that actually registered
with Clarice was being seated in the Jaguar again and pulling away from the grand hotel.
