Blood is not sweet, blood is not sour, it's nothing. Vlad's brain churned as he felt the cold blade leave his body. It was over, everything he had ever felt, dreamt, lived…all over.
It didn't hurt. He had imagined that it would hurt. Though he was safe now. All the people around him would keep him safe. Their soft voices and shinning light, for if the moors are the devils than these are angels.
There is screaming in the distance, it sounds familiar yet foreign. Then it went all black. Nothing was there, nothing at all.
