Chapter III

Hot steam rose up from the pool-sized bath and filled the room of the General. He was deep in thought as leaned against one of the walls inside the bath.

Santana was not present at dinner tonight and he had no doubts that Jeri was working Santana like a slave. She was Nola’s cousin. Nola; his brow crinkled with the thought of her. She stared at him through out dinner while sitting beside her father as a dutiful daughter would. He had not looked at her once; it was Pi’tre’s remark about her staring that alerted him.

She did nothing but try to order the cleaning staff around during her punishment; the leader of the staff informed Ron’zen. Although the computer regularly cleaned, there were still things that required manual labor.

Loki growled at her several times about staring; Nola ignored him.
Aid’ian and his group decided to leave and take their meal with the regular crew and left the Elder’s hall. Santana never looked at him like that; it was a good thing because she would be naked beneath him from one soft look.

His thoughts drifted back to Santana. He knew she would be tired and hungry from the punishment of working in the Archives with Jeri. Aid’ian made a clicking sound and the computer opened communication with the kitchen.

“General”

“Have a meal sent to Santana’s room; Mari will deliver it.”

“Yes General”

The communication became silent.

Aid’ian pushed off the wall and moved into the center of the bath to submerge for a moment. He surfaced and returned to his thoughts of wooing She’bach’s daughter. He would first find out her likes and dislikes. He knew of one dislike from Cri and Pi’tre’s talks. A Yautja named Pria’ne was constantly watching her and it made Santana uncomfortable.

Ron’zen made sure the Yautja was far away from Santana when she came with She’bach to inspect the army. She’bach was very protective of his only daughter. No one had come out and asked for her yet because the healer had painful ways of ending your need for his daughter. The healer made no excuse for his vigilance. It had only been 2 months ago that he had allowed her to have her own quarters. Santana chose one on the other side of the ship far from her parents.

Aid’ian remembered the first day she had moved out, She’bach asked him to make sure she was safe. It was a small thing to do for the Healer that made sure everyone under the General’s command made it home to tell about his fight. It was the first time he had really looked at her. She was beautiful and gentle when not driven to violence. He watched her from connecting hallways walk to her quarters for two months without approaching; but tonight he planned to walk beside her. Aid’ian finished his bath and walked up the steps to dry off.

Santana leaned against the far wall in the Archives massaging her aching calf muscles. She had been on her feet for three hours straight without a break. Jeri, the warden as she liked to call her sat on her padded seat and glared at her the entire time. She had tried to break her but Santana did not complain; she did everything she was told and she did it perfectly. Jeri was not happy.

Santana could smell the half-eaten food that belonged to Jeri and her stomach grumbled; she was so hungry. Jeri got out of her chair and began turning off the lights as Nola strolled in. Santana watched her walk over to her cousin and begin clicking to about someone outside.

Jeri looked at Santana and smiled. “I’m turning out her lights, can you hurry up and get out.”

Nola smiled as Santana slowly limped towards them. The doors slid open and Pria’ne stood there looking down at her. Jeri turned to lock the doors while Nola came from behind Santana and stood beside her smiling at the male before them.

Pria’ne was a tall muscular male with one bent spike on his lower right mandible. He smelled of something rotten to Santana. Cri said it was lust and was for her, wanted or not.

“Santana I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” He moved closer.” Luckily Nola told me where you were.”

Santana moved back. Nola smiled at Pria’ne. “She is tired, much too tired to fight.” Jeri chuckled as she and Nola walked away.

Santana stared up at Pria'ne for a moment then tried to run away but he was faster than she was and pulled her into his chest. She grabbed two mandibles and pulled as hard as she could. Her brother She’ga told her this would stop an attack long enough to escape. Pria’ne was not an ordinary male; he was obsessed.

He growled with pain, stopped trying to pick her up, and began to pry her hands from his mandibles. Santana began kneeing him any place she could but all she seemed to hit was rock hard muscle. Pria’ne ripped her shirt and pulled the tie form her hair trying to make her release him. Now Santana began screaming for help when he began to salivate while looking down at her full breasts. He slammed her into the locked door of the Archives trying to make her stop screaming. Santana screamed louder. Pria’ne raised his fist and brought it towards her face.

Aid’ian’s shoulder slammed into the side of Pria’ne’s body knocking the Yautja away from Santana. The General looked over at her for a second with black eyes full of anger.Santana moved her hair from eyes and watched Aid’ian advance on the fallen guard.

Pria’ne roared with pain as Aid’ian pulled him up by his dreads and then the huge right fist of the General slammed into his stomach. Pria’ne expelled some of his meal onto the floor causing the cleaning system to activate and dissolve the mess. Pria’ne fell forward onto his knees gasping for air. Aid’ian stood over him.

“No…plea ...Please…”

The injured Yautja held up his hand and fell to the floor as the pain from his stomach ran through his body.

Aid’ian snarled at him. “Look in her direction again and you will be floating outside this ship.” He placed his foot on the back of Pria’ne’s neck. “When I am done testing how much punishment you can take.”

Santana had never heard any male beg before but Pria’ne was doing his best pleading for his life.

Aid’ian removed his foot. “Get out of my sight.”

Pria’ne used the wall as a brace to help him stand and lean on as he slowly walked away.

Santana held her shirt together and stared up at him as he came closer. He raked the hair back from her face. She could feel the talons gently touch her scalp and cause a tingle in their wake. Santana gasped when he bent down and lifted her up into his powerful arms. Her arms went around his neck because she did not know where else to put them. Their faces were inches from touching when Santana smiled at him.

“Thank you.”

His muscles tightened under her body and his mandibles opened as he moved his face closer to hers.

Hurried footsteps made him stop and look up to see the Elder Meh’gah and two of his bodyguards with him.

“We heard the screams.” Meh’gah said approaching his eyes widening seeing Santana’s state.

“Pria’ne is heading towards his room.”

Meh’gah snarled out a curse. “Bring him to me.” One of his bodyguard’s wrists blades slid out and he hurried down the hall.

“See to her comfort Aid’ian.”

Aid’ian nodded to the Elder and continued down the hall.

Aid’ian gently set her on her bed and kneeled to remove the soft boots she wore. Santana tried to stop him.

“You should not do that, I can do it.”

Aid’ian gently pushed her hands away and began to unlace them. Mari stood in the doorway watching. Santana looked up and saw her. Mari walked in smiling the biggest smile Santana had ever seen on her face. Santana raised an eyebrow until she saw the food that followed her. Mari bowed her head as the servants placed the food on the table.

“Is everything to your specifications General?”

Aid’ian gently touched the soft skin on her legs as he removed the last boot. He looked at over at the meal on the table and nodded. Mari ushered the servers from the room and she gave Santana another big smile as she walked from the room.

Aid’ian lifted her from the bed and brought her to a chair at the table.

“You did this?” She sounded so surprised that Aid’ian smiled a little as he sat across from her.

“Jeri would not be very accommodating to you” He began removing the covers on the food.

Santana smiled at him and began tasting the meat. “She wouldn’t even let me stop and rest; and when Nola came in I knew something was not right.”

Aid’ian poured her some juice. “What was Nola doing there?”

“She told Pria’ne where I was and then told him I was too tired to fight and left with Jeri.”

Aid’ian grunted. “Nola’s action or words would not have caused what he was already planning.”

Santana took a sip of the juice and then attacked the meat. “You should be prepared to be interrupted again.”

Aid’ian watched her eating. “You would fight her even though I would punish you.”

“Don’t you think she deserves it?” Santana wiped her mouth. Aid’ian watched her top open to expose more of her breasts.

“He did not get to do what he wanted.”

Santana licked her lips and looked over at Aid’ian. “What if you are not there?”

“I will always be there.”

“You can’t be every… What are you doing?” Aid’ian stood and brought his chair to her side of the table and sat beside her.

He leaned close to her. “I will always be there.”

She looked into his light blues and heard him purring. Something was different she was beginning to notice.

“Please don’t tell She’bach he’ll make me move back.”

Aid’ian easily pulled her chair closer to his. “Tell him what?”

Santana smiled. “You are not as I thought you were.”

Aid’ian cocked his head to the side. “What did you think I was like?”

Santana looked down then back up at him. “I thought you were hard, unapproachable, ruthless, but fair to all those who deserved it.”

Aid’ian picked up a strand of her hair that lay in her lap and rubbed it between his thumb and forefinger. “I am hard, unapproachable, and ruthless Santana.”

He leaned into her body so his lips were beside her ear; his cheek touched her cheek and he heard her gasp ever so softly. “And I will be that way to have what I want and need.”

Santana felt her body vibrating from the purring. Janvee told her that She’bach could make her entire body vibrate with a simple purr. He heard her sigh and slowly pulled back to see her beautiful face totally relaxed. Her eyes slowly opened.

He stared into the hazel and green orbs. “Have you finished eating?”

She heard him talking but could not understand a word he was saying as she stared into his eyes. “What is it that you want and need?”

Aid’ian moved his hand up from the strand of hair, grazing over her stomach and ever so lightly touching the exposed skin of her breasts. He lightly touched her neck then his hand gently gripped the back of it, holding her in place as he moved his lips towards her slightly parted lips from panting.

The communication receiver on his wrist came to life and Cri’s voice came over it.

“General, Tro’net has arrived and has brought some of his friends.”

Aid’ian was inches from tasting her lips but slowly pulled away. “I will be there shortly.”

He slowly removed his hand from her neck. “Finish your meal and get some rest, you will need it if I have to punish you for attacking Nola.”

Santana just stared at him for a moment then she blinked. “Yes”

“Are you alright Santana?” Aid’ian continued to stare at her making her look down and then back up at him.

“Yes”

Aid’ian leaned forward close enough to kiss her if he wanted. “I will take my leave now.” He slowly stood. Santana looked up at him and he gave her a slow smile and walked from her room.
