Chapter 3
Chapter 3
False and Kayco walked out onto the landing strip as the Man’this fighter came to a rest and the doors opened. Shadow was out first and looked up to see the two Warships hovering over head.
“Get on board we are going to meet the Ooman in command.”
Alia stared at the hard skin running on board and sitting beside her. He sniffed at her.
False sat on the other side of Shadow and stared at Alia.
Alia felt some drool fall onto the cape as the ship lifted into the air heading for the Ooman village. She moved slightly away from Kayco but he moved closer to her to let the drool continue to leak on her cape. Alia turned to look at him with a frown on her face. Kayco stopped drooling when she stood, removed the cape, rolled it up, and put it on his lap. Alia then moved to the seat beside Shadow.
He was staring at her through the helmet. He could tell she was thinking of what to say to get the Oomans to send the Warship away. Kayco sensed she was deep in thought and decided to try to clean the drool off her cape.
Alia stood and kneeled at the case containing her clothing. She pulled out her sheath and looked up at Shadow.
“How much weaponry do you have?”
Rito and Myx looked back at Alia then returned forward both smiling under their helmets.
She was going in hard and armed for battle just as they liked it.
Planet Ruen- Human Settlement
Corporal Lance Pile crinkled his face after smelling the coffee Marla had brought him. He set it aside and stared at her.
Marla frowned at him. “What don’t like how I make it?”
“No.”
She glared at him. “Then get yourself you asshole.”
Lance smiled at her. “Why don’t you drink it?” He slid it over to her. Marla stared at it for a while then knocked it onto the ground.
Lance frowned at her. “What did you put it?”
Marla got up from the table. “I would just shoot you in the head if I wanted to kill you Lance.”
Lance chuckled. “You can’t shoot worth shit.” He said standing.
Marla pulled out her gun and a very strong hand pulled it away from her. Sergeant Joshua Mills glared at her. “You wouldn’t even get a shot off before he’d kill you.”
Marla glared at Lance. “He is a problem sir.”
“Yeah, why don’t you go make sure our food is buried okay?”
He gave her back her gun and Marla left.
Lance frowned at Josh. “Why are you letting her touch the important stuff?”
Josh sighed at Lance and picked up his mug containing coffee. Lance could smell the rich coffee beans. Josh sat down and Lance took a seat across from him.
“French roast huh?”
Josh smiled then took a sip.
Lance watched him. “You take it with cream and sugar?”
Josh nodded still sipping. Lance nodded also watching him still.
“Your own personal stash huh?”
Josh smiled and pulled out the mini viewing screen and went over the schedule for the week.
“You ah made just a cup”
“No I made a pot full.”
”You made a pot full?” Lance asked raising both eyebrows.
Josh nodded. “A pot.”
Lance nodded with him. “A pot”
Josh went back to reading the report.
“You ah made it just for yourself.”
Josh didn’t look up as he spoke. “No I gave Brian some.”
“Yeah we got to keep the Medic calm.”
Josh grunted but did not look at Lance. Lance looked at the spilled coffee on the ground and then Josh’s steaming mug.
“You know who else we should want to keep calm are the sharp shooters. You don’t want them having shaky hands because they didn’t get any fresh brewed French roast coffee.” Lance smiled as he stared at the mug.
Josh stared at his Corporal through out his statement.
Lance looked up to see the piercing blues staring at him. “Are you threatening to kill us?”
Lance made a fist. “I just want some damn coffee Josh.”
“Well why the hell didn’t you just ask?”
Lance looked at his superior as if he was stupid. “What do you think I’ve been asking you since you’ve been here?”
“Lan….” A loud crash interrupted their conversation and the two ran out of the tent and towards the training field.
The Special Forces team was tryin to get inside their armored vehicle Alec.
“What the hell are you doing?” Josh asked when one of them pulled out a grenade.
“We have to take the tracking system out of it.”
“Who ordered this?” Josh asked still holding his coffee.
“The general gave the order today.” Josh stared at the team leader Captain Mark Hess he was best friends with Alan Jefferies and Josh hated Alan Jefferies.
Mark smiled as his wavy brown hair blew in the breeze. Lance watched him fold his massive arms across his chest provoking Josh like always.
“Lance hold my coffee.”
“Stand down Sergeant.” Captain Cal Winters walked onto the training field with a frown.
“I know you came for the tracking system but we can’t get inside either and that grenade son is a waste of time. You should go over to the Seals team and see what they got.”
Mark smiled at Josh. “So where is Samantha these days?”
Josh glared at his back as Mark and his team walked away from them.
Cal looked at Josh’s mug. “French roast huh?”
Josh snapped out of the desire to shoot Mark in the back of the head. He faced the Captain. “You want some.”
“Yes I wouldn’t mind a cup.”
Josh walked towards Alec and the doors opened. Cal looked at Lance.
“We don’t know why it responds to him either.”
Josh walked into the vehicle. Cal and Lance just stood outside not talking. They didn’t talk to each other much and usually relied on Josh to communicate for them. Josh came from the vehicle with two cups of coffee. Lance was smiling as Josh gave him a cup and then the Captian.
“Thank you; as you were gentlemen.”
He walked away from them. Lance watched him go. “Why doesn’t he ever talk to me?”
Josh shrugged and began walking back towards the Mess tent.
“What do you tell him about me Josh?” Lance walked faster to catch up to him.
Medic Brian Avery was enjoying his meager breakfast and fresh French roast coffee when he looked up and saw a ship descend right into their camp.
“Shit!” He screamed and threw his coffee and ran to get the Sergeant.
He did not have to go far. Joshua ran out of the Mess tent and came face to face with the folded wings of the black fighter. The other Marines of the Special Forces group grabbed their guns and moved into ambushing positions.
Rito programmed the computer on his wrist to arm the ship. The doors on either side opened and strange looking black guns slid out and began to heat up. Shadow checked his weapons and prepared to leave. Alia pulled up the skirt to strap on the black sheath and blade from Aunt Kaz around the middle of her right thigh. She pulled out three more straps but they were loaded with throwing daggers with ten to a strap. She pulled the skirt open more and strapped one high on her right thigh and the other two on her left.
Rito and Myx each strapped on another blade. The two came into the small passenger compartment as Alia was braiding her hair and tying a ribbon on the end of it. She began threading the six-inch black pins into it. Shadow gave Rito the spinning disk and he picked up his spear.
False and Kayco looked at them. Alia walked before False. “You two stay with me.”
Joshua saw the ramp come down and the doors to the ship slowly open. His entire team had their weapons trained on the three beings coming out of the ship. Alia saw three humans standing on the ground with their guns aimed at them. The others were hidden somewhere it was just a matter of time before they were discovered. They proceeded down the ramp and stepped onto the blue grass.
“You are in violation of treaty 4582 which prohibits aircrafts from invading human airspace.”
Alia came to stand before the blond haired human. His gun aimed at her head. The smaller female and the dark haired male each had one of the black creatures in their sights.
“You will take us to who controls your Warships over False’s airspace.”
Joshua held firm until three of his men flew through the air and landed hard to the ground.
“What the fuck is that?” Marla said to her Sergeant as three eight-foot tall creatures materialized before them. Shadow grabbed Joshua’s hand holding the gun on Alia. He began to lift him from the ground.
“Ahhhh”
Red triangles appeared on the two still holding guns.
“Sarge what do we do?” The female asked shifting her gun between the multiple targets.
Joshua grimaced at the pain as Shadow began to crush his hand. “Stand down!”
They lowered their guns but Shadow did not release him.
“Drop ‘em!”
His group of six laid down their weapons and Shadow dropped Joshua to the ground.
Alia walked over to Shadow. “You will now take us to who controls your Warship over False’s airspace.”
Captain Cal Winters was enjoying his breakfast and the current quiet of the morning when the two guards in the tent looked down to see red triangles on their chests.
Joshua walked in before Alia and the aliens.
“What is this?”
Shadow and Rito materialized in the room beside Alia and the others.
“I am the Ambassador from Ship Men’ this. You are violating the same treaty as your Sergeant has accused of us. You have precisely one minute to remove your Warships from False’s airspace or they will be destroyed.”
The Captain stood. “How dare yo…..”
False let out a roar that rose over the Captain’s voice. The spear in Shadow’s hand grew to its natural length of nine feet long. Joshua looked at his commander.
“You have 40 seconds to comply with my request.”
Alia’s hand went under one of the slits in her dress as one of the guards slowly moved his hand to reach for his back up weapon in the back of his waistband.
“Your bluffing you don’t have any ….”
Alia flicked her wrist and the dagger imbedded itself into the guard’s shoulder. He cried out in pain and fell to the floor. The Captain and Joshua looked at the man then back at their guests.
The General came from the other room followed by Myx.
“Make the call … NOW!”
The ten-inch blades were millimeters from his neck.
Joshua got on the receiver and relayed the message to the commanders aboard the War ships. Rito looked at the read out from the computer on his wrist. He grunted something at Alia. Myx released the General.
“They said it would be peaceful.”
“We were told otherwise seeing that you had Warships in the sky. You would have lost our technology is far superior to yours.”
The general looked up at Myx. “I’ve come to realize that.”
Rito pulled Alia’s dagger out of the Ooman on the ground moaning in pain.
“Get Morten in here.” The Captain said to the other guard staring at the eight foot Yautja’s in the room. He cautiously walked out.
“We will return tomorrow to investigate the murders in question and see if False’s clan is to blame or something else. But if the Warships should return you and the others will never leave this planet.”
The General looked over the scantily clad, six foot tall, purple eyed beauty and agreed that the Warships would not return. Alia nodded at him and turned to leave. She began breathing for the first time as she headed back to the ship.
Kayco saw them coming and rose to his feet to follow them. They had left him outside to watch over the others. They boarded the ship and it slowly lifted from the ground and disappeared from their view.
“Who was that?” Beth asked the Sergeant.
“She was the alien Ambassador and the others were to make sure she got her point across.”
Corporal Lance Pile angry threw his damaged gun to the ground. “I don’t care who they are no one comes in our backyard and takes us down.”
“They just did.” Marla said.
Alia closed her eyes and rested her head against the back of the seat. She felt a large warm hand on the inside of her thigh and her eyes flew open.
Shadow purred at her through his helmet.
“You lie well.”
Alia smiled. Shadow began removing the straps from her thigh.
“They will be less likely to attack us if they think we can kill them anytime we want.”
Shadow grunted. He knew she was afraid but she did not back down from the lie. He liked that she would stay true to her word even to the point of war. He found her courage desirable like the rest of her.
Alia looked down at what he was doing. “I can do this.”
If he heard her, he wasn’t paying attention. He moved the dress aside to see the strap clearly. He wanted so badly to remove the helmet to see how beautiful her legs were.
Kayco moved closer to her with her cape and the dried saliva on it. Alia smiled at him until Shadow’s hand ran dangerously close towards the flesh between her legs. Shadow wanted her attention on him and he had it. Alia gasped when he did it again.
“I can undo the others.” She said in Ooman language.
Shadow ignored her and continued with the straps barely missing touching her.
She felt the tingling of desire run through her body
She could not want him he did not trust Oomans which meant her. Why was he touching her and why was she letting him?
The ship began to descend and Alia sighed in relief as Shadow finished and moved away.
They exited the fighter to find the Warship gone.
“They are out of orbit and returning to their home.” Rito growled reading the computer tracking of their course.
Alia followed False into a small room with no color or decoration but it had everything she would need. She thanked him and when he left, she fell back on the bed and cried out in pain as some of the pins in her hair dug into her back. Shadow burst into her room with his spear ready to do battle against the hard skin in her room.
Alia looked at him with surprise as she pulled the blood soaked pin from her hair. Shadow set the spear down and sat on her bed to look at her back. She had a small puncture on her shoulder blade. Alia watched him leave her room.
Alia looked at the spear resting on her bed. This was a magnificent piece of weaponry.
She was about to touch it when he walked back inside with some thing to clean her wound.
He moved the spear. “That’s dangerous.”
“What’s dangerous?” She asked as he unhooked the clasp holding the 2-inch wide strip over her nipples. Alia placed her hands over her breasts.
Shadow leaned closer and she could feel his mandible spikes lightly scrape her shoulder as he clicked them. “Trying to touch my spear is dangerous.”
Alia tried to calm her breathing. First, he tried to touch her in the most intimate place she possessed now she was going to have a heart attack because he was too close.
“I was just looking at it.”
Shadow gently wiped the blood away. “That’s how it starts first they want to look, then they want to touch it.”
Alia felt his hand gently run down her back.
“You will not go into the Ooman territory without me, Rito or Myx.”
She nodded with her eyes closed hoping he couldn’t see her reaction to his attention. She remembered she felt his mandibles on her shoulder and realized he wasn’t wearing the helmet. Alia quickly turned to see if his eyes were the same midnight blue as she remembered. Shadow looked down at her as she stared into his eyes.
“You did well today. I know Rito and Myx are pleased.”
“Are you?”
Shadow smiled but said nothing. He made her turn around and continued to treat her wound. After he was satisfied with the treatment of the wound, he slowly pulled out the pins from her hair and removed all the ribbons keeping her hair bound.
Alia turned still with her hands over her breasts.
“Do you hate Oomans?” She stared into his midnight blue eyes.
“I do not trust them and Brack did.”
“How did he die?”
“I was not there he went out alone.”
“I am Ooman.”
Shadow moved closer and breathed deeply of her scent. “Your scent is Alia. Your face and body are Ooman, but your heart is for your clan.”
Alia closed her eyes.
Rito stood beside the doorway. “False requires your presence in the garden.”
Shadow grunted his approval. Rito departed. Shadow refastened the back of the 2-inch strip and stood.
“If we find out one of False’s clan did these murders will you kill them?”
“Yes”
“And if an Ooman has committed these murders?”
Shadow picked up his spear. “I will slaughter them.”
Shadow walked to the door. “We will await you in the garden.” She watched him walk from her room.
