Chapter 3
“Here they come.” Anna Maria said as she looked out toward to port. “ Thank god. I knew that he would be okay.” Mr. Gibbs said as Anna Maria let out a little chuckle. Gibbs threw down the rope for Jack. “I still don’t understand why the Captain always has to bring that trouble maker with him. Will is good for nothing except getting Jack in trouble.” Anna Maria complained. “Captain does things for reasons that make sense to him.” Gibbs answered before hollering down to Jack. “Captain, I’m glad to see you made it back with your head still attached.” Jack grabbed the rope allowing Elizabeth to begin climbing up first. He then cut Will off and got right behind her. Will gave Jack a glare that could have killed him right there on the spot. “Mr. Gibbs, I’m Captain Jack Sparrow nothing can happen to me.” Jack laughed as he climbed over the rail.
Jack turned to Elizabeth. “My dear, I had a cabin set up for ye knowing that one day ye would return.” Elizabeth turned toward him with raised eyebrow. Jack turned to Will. “And William I have one for ye too, figuring you may not be wedded yet.” Will looked at him as he climbed over the rail, just wanting to punch him. “Come luv, your cabin be this way.” Jack led her down the stairs and left Will standing on the deck with Mr. Gibbs and Anna Maria. “Will it’s so good to see you again.” Anna Maria smiled and gave him a hug. “Its been a long time since out last voyage together.” As he was listening to Anna Maria he watched the woman he loved walked away with the pirate. Will finally hugged her back. “Anna Maria. Yes it has been a while. How are you doing?” As Will, Mr. Gibbs and Anna Maria stood on the deck catching up on old times, Jack led Elizabeth down to her cabin. “So Lizzie…” Jack said, stopping and turning so fast in front of her that she could do nothing but fall into him. “ You want me do ye?” Elizabeth heart stop right there, “Uh, Ja-.” she couldn’t say anymore, she was confused. Elizabeth looked at the ground knowing that if she looked up to see Jack’s face he would kiss her again.
“Jack, I’m tired I would like to lay down for a little while, if you don‘t mind.” Jack stood there, smirking. He knew that he was making her hot. “ Fine luv. Here is your room.” He opened the door to reveal a room that had nice bed sheets, flowers, and even a small partition for privacy with a tub behind it. “Oh Jack.” Elizabeth jumped with excitement, and hugged him. “I never knew you could decorate, and a tub how did you know” “Lizzie, I remember our last little voyage. I didn’t want to hear you complain about being dirty, and maybe you won’t call me ship dirty anymore either.” “Oh, Jack. Thank you.” Elizabeth hugged him again.
Jack stood in the doorway for a bit, watching her check out the room and sit down on the bed. The sun was shining through her window, her hair was glistening in the light, and her skin seemed to glow. He though to himself ’god I have missed this woman. I’m Captain.. Oh shut up self and just look at her. She is so beautiful. How can anyone not want her? I want her to be mine. I don’t care if that compromises my reputation or not. I know somewhere inside her she wants me just as badly as I want her.’ “Jack” Elizabeth called to him as Jack continued to stare. “JACK” Elizabeth yelled, snapping Jack out of his daydream. “Yes Lizzie.” Jack said acting like he wasn’t doing anything he wouldn’t normally. “Can we talk Jack.” Jack’s heart skipped a beat ‘Could it be? Is she going to tell me she wants me to kick Will off the ship? I can do that.’ “What do you want Lizzie.” “Jack please shut the door .” Elizabeth said while looking at a place on the floor so that he wouldn’t see that she was already beginning to tear up. “Jack, I don’t know what to do anymore.” she said looking up at him with tears in her eyes building. Jack sat down next to her and put his arm around her shoulders. “I don’t want to live that life anymore. I want freedom, I want to live here, on the Pearl.” She paused, looking back at the floor “With you.” “Look luv.” Jack said, kind of at a loss of words not knowing how to reply to this. “You and Will,” saying his name, mostly under his breath, “Can stay here as long as your heart wants to.” Elizabeth looked at him, tears now falling down her face, “Jack you don’t understand. I don’t-” but before she could finish Jack kissed her just light enough that his lips stopped hers from talking. “I do understand luv. Anything you want Lizzie, but I need him for this one last trip then I will drop him back off in Port Royal. If you still want to, you can stay here with me.” Jack stood up to leave, though, he was pulled back down to the bed. “Jack don’t you even wonder why?” Elizabeth asked. “No, but I’ll listen if you insist to continue on with this chatter. Or we could.” Elizabeth drew back and slapped him across the face. “Wow, I knew there was something I didn’t miss about you!” he laughed and she drew back to hit him again. “Luv, look if you want to tell me what went wrong with you and the eunuch’s love then continue on.” She lowered her hand.
Mr. Gibbs and Will and been standing at the helm of the ship talking for a long while. Anna Maria had went back to work as normal. Will was looking toward the stairway to see if Jack or Elizabeth had came back out. “ William there is nothing to worry about, Jack will do nothing to hurt your friendship.” Mr. Gibbs said as he made sure they were still on the right heading. “I know, Gibbs. But there is something between them two that makes me worry. She hasn’t smiled like she has today in so long. I don’t think she loves me, Gibbs.” Will said as he looked out over the water. “Where is it exactly that we are going?” “Ha,” Gibbs laughed “Jack just tells me which direction to head in and that is it. As for Miss Swann, maybe she is just having a hard time adjusting to her old ways of living. She had been out at sea with us for a while, and she was getting good at being a pirate. If it is meant to be between you to, then it shall. Love is said to always overcome anything that gets in it way.” Will looked at the stairs again. “I know. That’s what worries me. What if that is the reason that every time we get close to having out wedding it always seems that Jack shows up.”
