Selfishness
A-N - Thanks for all the lovely reviews I've been getting. Keep em up! They help my muse come up with ideas :) Saw AWE for the second time today and noticed a lot more details this time. Some of the dialog, i will be borrowing :) Once again, i own NOTHING!!!.

Elizabeth sighed as she sat on her hammock and covered her face with her hands. All the guilt and pent up emotions that she held inside were breaking her down slowly....and any thoughts that Jack would ever forgive her had just been tossed overboard. 'Face it, Elizabeth,' she told herself, 'you don't deserve forgiveness for your actions".
"When were you going to tell me the truth?" a soft voice behind her made Elizabeth almost jump out of her skin. She turned around quickly and let out a breath.
"Will...I..I couldn't...It was my burden to bear...alone". This was the first time that Will had spoken to her all day since they had 'rescued' Jack. Will looked angry, yet tired a the same time.
"Elizabeth....I saw you kiss him.....is...is that what you did to distract him?" Elizabeth hung her head and slowly nodded. "How could you do that?" Will asked simply, his voice still low enough to not disturb the other sleeping crew members. Elizabeth looked up, chewing on her lower lip, and her heart broke at the sight of all the pain in Will's eyes.
"It...it was the only way...the Kraken would have killed us all if I hadn't....done what I did," she said biting down harder on her lip.
"What you did was murder someone you once called a friend," Will said fiercely. "Elizabeth...I don't understand you anymore...you...have become a different person....a person that I'm not sure I care to be around," he finished quietly.
"Will...I did it to save you..to save us!...I didn't want you to die," Elizabeth felt tears begin to trickle down her face, as she reached up to touch Will's face. He jerked away from her touch.
"No Elizabeth...what you did...was out of selfishness...." Will said walking away from her to his own hammock. Elizabeth watched him go and let the tears fall, but she had to keep the sobs inside....much like she did every night. 'He's right,' she thought to herself as she laid back onto the hammock. 'I did it...out of selfishness.....'
