Squeaking of leather and bedroom doors
I didn't go to the cinema that evening. Instead I took a long bath, dropped into the bed naked and watched some TV, much tired from just the bath.
I felt myself being perfectly content and happy. During the last five months the only nights I remembered to be without anyone - or rather, didn't remember - had been when I was in the hospital. The quietness of the house, not having to talk to anyone, was just what I needed right now.
A look at the clock told me that it was half past nine. Relatively early in the evening, at least compared to the fact that once I had considered one o'clock in the night to be an 'early' time to even just think about seeing a bed.
Dom should have picked up his brother by now, I thought before I dozed off.
I think I woke up some time later by a sound in the house. Footsteps on the stairs. Sounded like Dom; I so knew the sound he made when he came to the first floor.
Hmmm... no other sound. Where was Xander, I thought a bit sleepy.
The bedroom door was opened. In the dim light that came from the lamp in the corridor I could see someone standing. Yupp, that was definitely Dom.
"Already back?" I yawned.
"Hmmm-hmmm." He hummed.
"Where's your brother? Didn't you meet him at the airport?"
"Uh-uh." I could hear him stripping from his clothes; if I hadn't been so tired I would have noticed the squeaking of leather instead of the rustling sound of Jeans as I would later remember.
"Hm. Maybe you should try and call him tomorrow?" I closed my eyes again.
"Hmmm..."
Weight dropping down on the bed beside me.
"Tired?" I asked, turning around to him.
"Hmmm."
Obviously tired, I thought. I knew Dom wasn't much for talking, but this here was somewhat ridiculous. Probably also frustrated because he couldn't pick up Xander.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Hmmm."
A hand started to wander over my back near my shoulders. Second hand being added, wandering over my side. Kisses planted along my spine, downwards.
Nice.
Just...
Different.
A tongue was sliding down my spine, down to the small of my back, then up again.
He must want that sex we talked about badly, I thought.
I knew Dom.
If he was tired, he was tired and slept. If I was tired, he usually let me sleep no matter if he was tired or not. There had been only one occasion where both of these rules had been broken; and that was the night before I had to deliver them all to Verone's house. Okay, that had been different.
So what the hell...
I turned around to ask him what's up.
Just to find my mouth being thoroughly kissed. Savored would be more like it, actually.
Nice... but just not... like... Dom.
I mentally shrugged. This obviously was Dom in my bed. I wasn't able to see him in the darkness; but I could feel his body behind, no, next to, no, almost on mine as he turned me around. No mistaking there.
Just of course that this Dom body didn't behave like Dom. That mix of tenderness and forcefulness which was bestowed on me with hands and mouth wasn't him. Depending on his mood, I would get either of both - but not at the same time.
Not that I didn't like it. I liked it a lot.
But it was different.
The bedroom door squeaked a bit. I didn't pay much attention. That door often did that due to the air flow, so what. I had an extremely hot man here in my bed, so the door was the least thing I wanted to pay attention to. Which was why I didn't even look at it.
He kissed, licked and nibbled his way down my neck, to my breasts, one of which was already cupped by one of his hands.
Damn, since when did he suck and use his teeth at the same time?
I let out a quiet sigh which was being answered by him with a short, deep moan.
"Need that badly, hmmm?" I chuckled.
"Hmmm..." He replied, sucking at my nipple while he rolled on me, spreading my legs with an awkward move of his knee that I had never experienced from him before. Almost artistic. I instantly noticed that he was rock hard.
Also not so typical Dom. Not after just coming into bed. Given the state of that erection, he must have had been hard before getting into the bed.
He lifted his weight on one elbow, his lips covering mine again. He sucked my tongue, even bit down on it a little - something we both hadn't done in, well, ages - ever since I had been biting down on his tongue hard in Mexico when he had knocked my injured knee somewhere in the trailer.
His hard length was lingering before my opening, but not sliding in.
"What are you doing to me?" I sighed. Damn, when had that man become so terribly hot again?
A short, quiet chuckle at my ear, but no reply.
Hand wandering from my breast over my ribcage... fingers coming to a rest on the scar Verone's bullet had left.
"Scar?" I heard him whisper from between my breasts.
I snorted a bit. "Sure."
"From?"
"Okay, what's wrong with you?" I asked and pushed him back a bit. Damn, if it just wasn't so dark so that I could see his face!
"Nothing, just asking about that scar."
"You're having amnesia? Because you were present when I was shot..."
"No, he wasn't. I was." A quiet voice came from the door. Dom's voice.
I stared at the ceiling. Just a moment. This must be a weird, weird dream, I thought. If Dom was lying on me, then there was no way he could speak from the door.
The light in the bedroom was switched on. I looked at the face of the man lying on me - yupp, definitely Dom. Another look at the person standing in the door... definitely Dom.
Focussing on the arm that was half blocking my view to the door... tattooed.
"Hello Xander. Seems you've found your way to Dana's place without my help?" The Dom in the door grinned.
The Dom on me looked down at me. "Oh, you're Dana?"
"Uhhhh - ya?" I coughed, not really believing that situation.
"Nice way of introducing yourself to my woman. Now, if you wouldn't mind, could you get your ass up from her and out of my bed?"
"That's my bed." I said, relatively calm before I finally lost it and started to laugh hysterically. "Oh God! I knew something was wrong..."
The man on me had the nerve to shrug and not get up; not even move an inch.
"I'm perfectly comfortable here. Bed is big enough." Xander said, looking over his shoulder to his brother.
I stared at him wide eyed, then at Dom, awaiting the nuclear explosion in the doorway.
Which didn't come; he just frowned a bit, then shrugged with a small grin on his lips.
"You're comfortable with both of us in the bed?" He said.
"Uh...." was all I managed.
The ever possessive Dom was standing in the door, watching his obviously naked brother lying on me - of who he probably knew was naked, too - and all he would ask was if I was comfortable to share the bed with both of them?
That wasn't Dom. It couldn't be.
"You three triplets? Because Dom would by now tear the man apart who's lying on me, I know it!"
"I'd agree if it was any other man lying on you, Dana. However, that's my twin in your bed." The door Dom shrugged, turned the light off and started to undress.
"Not much different from me lying on you. So what? You told me some hours ago that you didn't want to become old and boring. Here's your exciting distraction: My brother."
"Uhmmm..." I said and stared at him open mouthed.
"What 'uhmmm'? Told you I always share everything and anything with my brother."
"Ah, perhaps I just wasn't aware that this would include me?"
"Just say a word, if you're uncomfortable with it then you can have the couch?" Xander suggested, slowly moving a strand of hair from my face.
"I can have the couch?" I snorted and pushed his hand away. "Sorry, when I looked up last time this was still my house."
"Possible, but you wouldn't separate twins who haven't seen each other in a while, right?" Dom said.
Weight dropping down on the right side of the bed; this should be the real Dom now...
Now... the one lying on me wasn't Dom.
Why the hell was he still lying on me?
"Well, for a start I would feel much more comfortable if you would get off me!" I shouted at Xander.
"Really? What a pity. It was just getting interesting." He chuckled and rolled down to the left. In the process I could feel on my thigh that he was still rock hard. No irritation by the conversation, I thought - interesting.
Okay, now I was framed by two guys who almost looked the same, felt the same, tasted the same, even smelled the same, as far as I could tell from my still a bit sleepy, but thoroughly confused mind. And all that 'same' was good. Except, of course, that it wasn't.
And it was fucking weird.
Gods, I thought, if I'm telling that to anyone no one would believe me.
"How was your flight?" Dom asked. "And why didn't I catch you at the airport?"
"Took an earlier flight. Got bored waiting for you." Xander replied. "Then I took a cab, came here, and hey, she didn't ever call me Dom or I would have clarified who I am."
"Uh-huh!" I said, being in the middle of that conversation.
"Wasn't the door locked?" Dom asked.
"Yeah, so what?" Xander chuckled. "You know I don't like waiting outside."
"No offense, brother." Dom laughed.
That whole conversation sounded as if one man, evenly distributed to both of my sides, was holding a monologue. Hell, even their voices were the same!
"What the hell did you do in Austria?" Dom said.
"Snowboarding, chicks, the usual stuff." Xander laughed. "Ah, but I really have to tell you what I did in Prague some years ago. You wouldn't believe it."
"Boys..." I said.
"Hm?" came the stereo reply.
"Either you both shut up or you go into the living room to continue your conversation, because I would love to sleep a bit."
"You know, that's the first who's asking for sleep with both of us in a bed." Xander laughed.
"Yeah, she's a bit... different. Already told you that." Dom replied.
"Oh, so that's not the first time you share one bed with a woman?" I asked.
"Not really." Dom said.
I couldn't help but let out some kind of desperate laugh.
"But well, so be it. I'm a bit tired, too; and we still have some days to talk, right?" Xander said, turning his back on me.
"Right. Night, brother." Dom said, also turning his back on me.
And I, as tired as I was, stared into the darkness of the ceiling for quite a while. What the hell had I gotten myself into this time? Damn, just a few hours ago I had been complaining that my life was getting bored, and now this.
I made a bold mental note to have a serious conversation with Dom in the morning.
I felt myself being perfectly content and happy. During the last five months the only nights I remembered to be without anyone - or rather, didn't remember - had been when I was in the hospital. The quietness of the house, not having to talk to anyone, was just what I needed right now.
