Chapter 3
Chapter 3.
“What ya lookin at whelp? If you want some, the only thing you got to do is ask.” Jack said, showing a bottle of rum in Will’s hands.
Will shook his head and laid the bottle aside. He then again tried to reach for Jack’s attention. “Listen Jack, I believe we need to talk some serious, so please for one sake try to act a little served.”
Jack frowned at him for a moment before a huge grin appeared above his face. ”Can’t be sober, I’m drunk.” He assured young William as he slurped in some more of that rum.
Will sighed. “Fine! You know what, I was going to step aside, so you and Elizabeth could solve out your problems but seems to me like you have no interest in that subject at all.” He said, starting to walk away.
“Wait.. Are we talking about Lizzie here?”
Will nodded.
Jack burst out to laughter. “Tell me whelp, why would such a fine, classy lady like her want to do anything with o‘le Jack. And for your concern, for me she’s just another wench.” Jack said, clearing up his throat.
“Right, and I’m suppose to believe that!” Will whispered furiously.
“Why not?” Jack sated causally.
Will shook his head. “The way you look at her!”
“I look at her just the way I look at any other wench.”
Will turned serious again. “Jack, you and I both know that Elizabeth is nothing like any other wench- Women! I mean.” He corrected himself.
Jack pretended to think. “You’re right, she’s fiercer.”
Will shook his head in annoyance and was about to say something but Elizabeth unexpectedly came to interrupt them. She looked angry and Will could sense the uneasy feeling in her eyes.
“Can’t you just leave it, for God sake Will!” She yelled at him, mocking in anger.
Jack grinned at both of them but as they turned to him furiously, he decided this was not the best time and he should probably let have some privacy.
Jack walked back to wheel, and continued what he was doing.
Will watched Jack disappear and then turned back to Elizabeth. He could tell she was not in a very happy mood at the moment, so he tried to avoid her insulting as much as possible, though when they first started it was quite hard to shut her up again.
“Listen Elizabeth! Whatever I did, I’m sorry! Please give me a chance, will you?” He pleaded as tears were starting to from in the deep of his eyes.
Elizabeth sighed before finally responding. “Just promise me first, whatever that have happened between me and Jack, stays in the past.”
Will nodded, pulling her into an embrace.
