All I know
Smokin' Out and Going Out
When they returned to the house, there was a thick cloud of smoke coming from the figure sitting in the middle of the couch. Dallas smiled knowing from the scent what it was.
“You bring enough for the whole class, there?” he asked playfully as he jumped over the back of the couch and landed on his butt directly next to her. She glanced over at him, meeting his eyes carefully as she passed him the blunt she’d rolled for herself, not expecting them to be back so soon. It’d only been about an hour.
“When did you start smoking pot?” Rusty asked taking a seat on the other side of her as Dallas took a long drag.
“Few years ago.” She answered in a husky Brooklyn accent as Dallas took one more big hit then passed the blunt to Rusty.
“There’s nothing quite like tainted youth.” He chimed in as he held the smoke in with a smile and a wink. Her brow arched as she eyed him. He saw the glare that Rusty gave him from the corner of his eye and eased back into the couch.
“So what are we doin’ tonight?” she asked as Rusty passed the blunt to her.
“We could go down to Limericks. It’s been a while since we’ve paid them a visit.” Dallas offered as he casually crossed his legs, resting his ankle on his knee.
“We can’t” Rusty retorted simply, watching his once innocent cousin smoke the impressively fat blunt they were smoking.
“Why not?” She asked before taking another big pull, handing it to Dallas but keeping her curious eyes on Rusty.
“Oh, I don’t know. It might have something to do with Dallas breaking a stool over the bouncers back the last time we were there.”
“Oh yeah.” Dallas replied laughing through his words. “Fuck it, he deserved it.” Taking a pull, he leaned his head back onto the sofa again.
“Look, I don’t care where we go so long as they have alcohol.” She bellowed leaning back on the sofa.
“How about Bulls Eye Pub then?” he asked as he continued to toke, passing it to Rusty before letting the thick smoke blow through his nostrils in a smooth stream. “You play pool, Butterfly?” He asked darting his eyes to hers.
“I play a little” She shrugged.
“Can’t be any worse than Dallas” Rusty joked as he offered the now small blunt to his cousin. She took it from him, brining it to her lips and took two quick tokes before putting it out in the ashtray she’d set on the small table in front of the couch.
“Fuck you, Rusty.” He spat not taking his eyes from the girl between them. “So, how ‘bout it, little Butterfly?” He teased, ignoring the glare he was getting from Rusty. “You up for a game of pool?”
“Bring it on, Cali. Let’s see what you got.” She shot back, matching his intense stare.
“Good. Let’s go, then.” He said standing from the couch and reaching into his pocket for his car keys.
“Wait! I hafta change.” She announced walking towards Rusty’s room.
“You look fine with what you have on” He fought, letting his eyes follow the soft curves of her hips for emphasis.
“I don’t wanna look ‘fine’.” she retorted, disappearing into Rusty’s room and closing the door behind her. Rusty cut his eyes to Dallas.
“Relax” Dallas said immediately, knowing from Rusty’s look what was coming.
“Relax? I know that look you gave her.”
“Look, we’re just going to go play some pool, have a few drinks, maybe I’ll meet Ms. Right…”
“Just remember what I said…”Rusty reminded him sternly.
“Yeah yeah, ‘no starting shit’-I got it” Dallas replied rolling his eyes as he lit up a cigarette. “You’re like a nagging wife all of a sudden…” he teased sitting back down on the sofa.
“Fuck you, man.” Rusty retorted sitting on the chair that faced perpendicular to the couch and letting out a deep sigh. “She was seven, the last time I saw her. I never really realized how much I’ve missed her and I don’t want to fuck it up.” He admitted, waiting for the ridicule to come from the other man…but it never came. Instead, Dallas sighed in understanding.
“We won’t fuck it up.” He vowed, realizing for the first time how important this was to Rusty. “I promise, we won’t fuck it up at all” Rusty eyed him carefully, not sure if he was being serious or mocking him. “What? I can’t have a grown up moment once in while?” Dallas challenged with a smirk. Rusty smiled back and shook his head.
“Alright, ramblers, let’s get ramblin’” She said as she walked back into the living room. Dallas stood up and looked back to where she was standing. Once again, his mouth fell open as he looked her over. She’d changed into a pair of tight fitting shorts that hung low on her hips and were cut off high on her thighs, her long tanned legs looking more appetizing than before and a baby tee that hung over her pierced belly button. He felt the familiar stir in the pit of his stomach and turned quickly towards the door. Rusty shook his head dramtically.
“No way. Go change into something else.” He demanded.
“Excuse me?” She challenged walking closer to them.
“Put some jeans on at least.” He reasoned.
“Rus, I’ll say it again; I’m a big girl. I can take care of myself. Now come on, let’s go…” she said sternly walking past them both to the door. Dallas turned his head to look at Rusty and then back to the stunning beauty at the door.
“You know he’s right, you shouldn’t be wearing shit like that. Not with the men in this part of L.A.” He offered mostly to calm his growing erection than to agree with Rusty.
“Well, it’s not like I’m going out by myself. You guys will be there to fend off any perverts won’t you?” she asked with a wink. Dallas looked back at Rusty, motioning for him to answer her question.
“Will you at least put on a shirt that covers your entire stomach?” Rusty reasoned. Butterfly smiled and sighed softly.
“Okay, pops. You got it” She replied with a mock salute before retreating back to Rusty’s room and reappearing a few seconds later in a slightly bigger baby tee that clung to her in some places and fell off of her in others. Dallas cleared his throat and opened the front door, walking swiftly to his car and all the while trying to let his mind wander to baseball, Christian, hell even Bear…anything to control his cock from growing anymore. She’s off limits he kept thinking to himself. Rusty climbed into the passengers seat and Butterfly climbed into the back seat behind Rusty. He revved up the engine and stole a glance at her in the rear view mirror She’s off limits he thought once more as he peeled out of their driveway, towards the Bulls Eye Pub.
