Chapter Two- Lord Vader was growing impatient. After 2 hours, the prisoner still wouldn't talk. “ You still insist that you don't know anything. Yet you work for the Rebels. You are one of their officers. You spend your days with them. And I'm supposed to believe that you don't know anything of importance?” Vader asked. “ I..know..nothing!” the major gasped, as the mind probe injected more serum into his veins. “Yes you do.” Vader gently said, using the Force to get into the man's mind. “You can trust me. I have sympathies for the Rebellion. You can tell me everything, and the Empire will never find out.” “Rebellion.....everything......”the major gasped, his eyes rolling back in his head from the pain and Vader's powerful control of his mind. “Just tell me.” Vader said. “It will be alright.” When the major didn't respond, Vader sent waves of pain through the Force to the man's mind. The major screamed, then gasped, “Alright! I'll tell you! The Rebels are planning an attack on the base the Empire has on Endor.” “When is the attack to take place?” Vader queried. “The 4th day of the week. They are sending troops on the ground and in the air.” Vader broke fully into the man's mind with the Force. As the major screamed in agony, Vader sought out every sliver of information he could find. Once that was accomplished, Vader said “You have betrayed your friends. Because of you, several of them will die. To bad you won't be here to see it.” Placing his hand on the major's throat Vader squeezed, while simultaneously using the Force to burst the man's blood vessels. The major struggled in his death throes while blood poured from his mouth, eyes and nose. Once the man had stopped moving, Vader turned and left the cell. “Admiral Piett,” Vader said, stepping off the turbolift and seeing his right hand officer. “Call a meeting. Immediately.” “Yes, my lord.” Piett said, turning and hurrying to do the Dark Lord's bidding. 5 minutes later, Vader sat gazing out at his officers. “According to a Rebel prisoner,” Vader said, “there will be an attack on our base on Endor.” “When did we begin trusting Rebels?” one man said, scoffing. Vader turned his head and looked at the offending officer. “Are you questioning my judgment, Captain?” Vader coolly asked. While his tone bespoke nonchalance, Vader's hard stone blue gaze left no room for argument. “Not questioning your judgment, my lord. Just the reliability of the information,” the captain returned. “The authenticity of the information is assured.” Vader said, turning his soul-seeing gaze from the captain. “I want no mistakes this time,” Vader continued. “Failure will be met with most severely.” “Yes, my lord.” All the officers said. “Dismissed.” Vader said, standing and watching as all of them left. Returning to his quarters that evening, Vader sighed as the door slid shut. Making his way over to the communication unit, he pulled up the message that was waiting for him. “Anakin,” the man said. “I have been unable to trace the mysterious lead we received. I am going to try and hope that one piece of information I was given is good.” Vader typed in the private code and was connected. A man with shoulder length blonde hair and the face of a model greeted him. “Hello, Anakin.” “Hello, Dad.”
