Darkened Innocence

The summer passed quickly and they spent most of it having sex and before Jim knew it he was so deeply in love with Leonard McCoy. When summer was drawing to a close, he begged to be allowed to go with him.

“I can’t Jim. You need to stay here.”

“I’ll be good. I swear!”

 

Leonard stopped packing and turned towards Jim.

“Jim, I’ll have a room-mate. I can’t bring you with me to college. You need to stay here and behave yourself. I promise that I’ll be home for winter break. I already told mom that you need to be educated properly. You will be learning how to read and write and you’ll be receiving a good education. I already made mama promise she wouldn’t hurt you. It’ll be fine, you’ll see.”

“Promise?” Jim asked.

“I promise. Now let me pack the transport leaves in an hour.”

 

Leonard left and Jim felt so lonely. At first Leonard called every day, then every other day and then once a week. David assured Jim, who was busy studying himself that Leonard was busy with college and couldn’t call him. During the summer, he’d managed to win the hearts of both father and son. David wanted to protect Jim from all harm. By the time winter break came around, he and Jim hadn’t spoken for almost a month. Jim had learned a lot and very quickly too, he was super excited that Leonard would be coming home so that he could show him all that he’d learned. Jim was almost done with all him learning, once he’d learned to read and write, everything came so easily.

 

The tutors had been stunned, expecting it to take Jim years to learn. But what had taken most children years to learn, Jim learned in weeks. He’d gone through all the academics from kindergarten to sophomore year of high school within the first three months, he was almost ready to take a test to get him high school diploma.

“Jim, I’m going to pick up Leonard.” David’s voice called from outside. Jim looked up from the math problems he was solving.

“Ok. Do you want me to come?”

“I want you to study Jim. Hey, maybe if you keep working as hard as you do, you’ll be able to join Len in college next year.”

 

Jim had finally finished with his studies and was coming down the stairs when he heard Leonard speaking to his mother.

“So, how do you think Jim is going to take this?”

“When are planning on telling him?”

“Later, I don’t need an audience for this.”

 

He was interrupted by a very beautiful woman, and from the looks of things, she was two months pregnant.

“Len who’s Jim?” She asked, kissing Leonard’s cheek. Jim felt his heart shatter into a million pieces.

“He’s Leonard’s sex slave.”

“Mama!”

“He’s more than that.” David said. “Jim is very bright and Leonard don’t you dare upset the boy. It’s bad enough you had to be so damned irresponsible and get this young lady pregnant but we don’t need to have more people hurt than necessary. You will marry her.”

“What’s going to happen to Jim?”

“He’ll stay on here as a household slave. I’ll let him finish with his schooling since he’s worked so hard for it. You’ll have to be the one to break it to him.”

 

Jim stood frozen on the stairs, he was shocked and so hurt. He wanted to run, back up the stairs and lock himself in the bathroom in the hall or maybe down them, past everyone to the outside. Leonard detangled himself from the woman. Jim snapped out of his state and turned and raced up the stairs, just as Leonard reached him.

“Jim wait!”

 

He caught up with Jim and over took him, wrapping his arms around Jim’s smaller frame.

“Let go of me!” Jim wailed. He struggled against Leonard with all his strength. “You lied to me!”

“Jim please let me explain.”

“No! Let go!”

“I’m not going to let go until you calm down.” Leonard said. The fight seemed to drain out of Jim then, sinking to his knees sobbing.

“How could you do this to me? I trusted you.”
