Synopsis: A female aquaintance of Captain Jack Sparrow needs a bit of rescuing and in turn offers a secret for the rescue.

CHAPTER 3: Present and Past Lovers



"Who is she?"



"Who?" Jack looked at Will with a grin on his face.



"The woman." Will turned to look across the cabin at his lover.



"Oh, her." Jack half sauntered half staggered across the cabin with an ever present bottle of rum in his hand, "Don't worry, lad. She means nothing, savvy?"



Will looked skeptical as Jack sat on the edge of the bed. "Really? I heard her voice when she saw you, that sounded a lot like something rather than nothing."



"Phff." Jack waved the bottle toward Will, "A chance encounter many years ago." He leaned forward and grinned at the other man, "I love you, savvy?"



"Really?" Will leaned against the wall and watched Jack with smouldering eyes.



Jack took a swig of rum then set the bottle down. He moved forward and pinned Will to the wall with a deep kiss, then sat back, "Really, mate."



"I still don't believe you." Will pouted slightly.



Jack looked surprised, "Then I guess I'll have to prove it, lad." He pushed Will down onto the bed and kissed him deeply, coming up for air he proceeded to kiss and lick his way down to the younger man's chest. "'m not blind." Jack sat back and grinned, his gold teeth flashing as he shook his head.



"Drunk then, cause you can't see." Ketain tossed back more brandy and stared at Sparrow, "I'm too tall for a lady, definitely not gentile enough for a lady, and I'll bet you anything that no lady can handle a sword or a ship like me." She tossed her long red hair over her shoulder.



"Phfff." Jack waved away her protestations, "I like ye jus' fine, lass, savvy?"



Ketain stared at him, "Jack, what ever are ye getting at? Yer talking around something, but I can't figure out what."



Jack propped his chin on his palm and watched the female pirate. His kohl-lined eyes gleaming with some inner glee, "I can't figure ye out, lass."



"What?" Ketain answered with a grin.



"Ye be a bonny pirate. Might be as good as me someday. But ye got no one." Jack shook his head, "Don' ye be lonely at times?"



"Mighty strange ye are, Jack Sparrow, asking a question like that." Ketain pushed the bottle of rum toward her table companion, "Drink up, ye be needing it. Ye be talking nonsense."



Jack took the bottle, "Captain, that'd be Captain Jack Sparrow to ye, lassie." He took a hefty swig of rum and set it back down on the table.



"Aye, Cap'n Sparrow." Ketain saluted the other pirate with her bottle then tossed back a swig."If I didna know better, Jack, I'd think ye was trying to romance me."



"And what would ye do if I be doing jus' that?" Jack leered at her with a grin.



"Depends." Ketain grinned back. She stood up and walked around the table to his side of it, leaning down she ran her fingers along his jaw thnto nto his hair. Smiling faintly Ketain moved forward and kissed Jack, smelling the rum on his breath she ran her tongue over his lips then pulled back.



"Verra interesting." Jack leaned back in his chair, "Depends on what, lass?"



"On you, Jack, on you." Ketain smiled faintly.



"Well then, lassie." Jack stood up and pulled her forward for a deep kiss, his tongue seeking entrance to her mouth then plundering it throughly tasting the brandy in her mouth and the taste that was Ketain's alone.



Jack pulled back with a charming grin, "I'm thinkin' we be needing someplace softer, lass, savvy?"



Ketain nodded, "I be thinkin' the same, Jack."
