Night Out
Chapter 4 : Night out

On their way they finally decided they were going to the ‘Laugh Factory’ on West Hollywood.
Mia knew this would be good for her, she needed to have friends, especially in this time of her life. She had shared stories
with them but never really got into detail. She wanted to make sure she could fully trust them first.
Besides Eva and Mini there was Coco and Lisa. She got along with all of them especially Eva she reminded Mia so much
of Letty except Eva liked to dress like a girl. She was also very demanding and Mia could tell she had a very short fuse.
Lisa was a little punkish and liked to wear black nail polish but she was very smart, she definitely had a good head on her shoulders, sort of a girl version of Jesse.
Coco was sweet, smart and very talkative. And Mia saw a little bit of herself ico. co.
Mini was the ‘Lolita’ of the bunch, she was always dressed sexy and the guys always hovered around her.
Yup!, she was definitely comfortable with this group.
As they arrive, Valet parking attendants greet them.
“Take good care of my baby, if there’s a scratch on the car I’ll put a scratch on your ass” Eva says handing the
guy her keys and giving him a ‘I’m not kidding look’
They walk to the front and Eva gives her name,
“Uhm, Santiago party of 5”
“Ah yes here it is please follow me, the show will start in 10 minutes Ms. Santiago and there is a 2 drink minimum”
“Oh! We’ll be drinking much more than that, trust me” Mini says with a flirtatious smile, she couldn’t help it, it was
just the way she was.
The host escorts them to their table, which is right in the front.
“Let’s hope we don’t get hiked on tonight, that would be so embarrassing” Mia says with a worried face, they all
brake out in laughter.
After the show, about 12:30 am and after having about 5 to many whiskey sours each, the girls are headed home.
“Hey Mia you wanna head to The Viper Room it’s just now starting to get good” Eva says raising both eyebrows.
“As much fun as that sounds girls I think I should be heading home, don’t want the boys to get home and worry
about me”
“OK, home it is” Eva pulls up in front of the Torreto residence and before Mia gets out she notices something very weird
about her house .
“What’s wrong Mia” Lisa asks
“Well my lights are on and I remember Vince telling me they were going out to the club tonight and not getting
home till late, and it’s only 1”
“Maybe they changed their minds”
Mia looked at Lisa and with a face of confusion and worry and says, “Maybe”.
“Anyway guys thanks for everything I had a lot of fun tonight, give me a call and let me know you guys got home
ok.”
“I will, once I drop these drunk asses home. ” Eva says. Mia gets out and makes her way up the stairs, she can’t help to shake that worry feeling off of her.
As she goes to unlock the door she notices it’s already open.
“I’m gonna kill them if they left my door open and my lights on” Mia says out loud.
“Hey Mia everything ok, you want me to come in with you” Coco calls out.
“Nah, I’m good. Goodnight!” Mia didn’t want them to see how concerned she really was. After Johnny Tran’s death she
was always worried his family would want revenge on her family.
She walks in and closes the door, she hears the girls pull off. ‘Maybe I should of invited them in with me’
Mia begins to regret her decision. As she puts her purse on the couch she hears noises coming from upstairs
‘Ok now I’m starting to freak out a little’ She grabs a metal bat she always keept by the front door and makes her way up
slowly and quietly up the stairs.
As she gets closer to the top the sounds get louder and her heart beats faster and faster. Now she can see clearly down the
hall. She notices that all the doors are closed except what used to be her parents bed room. She opens the door slowly and
sees no one.
‘Some of the things have been moved around and someone definitely went thru the drawers’ she thinks to herself.
She e and and closes the door behind her. She checks her room and even the closets. Now feeling a little more at ease she guessed it was in her mind, before she goes to her room she makes a mental note to ask the guys if they had been in her
parents room. She looks towards Doms’ room and remembers how when he first left she would still hear him walking down
the hall or him stumbling up the stairs p dru drunk after he had been out with the guys . Even now she could hear him calling
her from his room to bug her or ask her for a favor it just seem so real to her at the moment.
‘ Wait a minute ................. someone is calling from Dom’s room’
She walks a little closer to put her ear on the door and it gets louder.
“MIA!”
She bursts thru the door with the bat in her hands and at the sight of was she sees drops the bat in shock.
