I do not own the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie series, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
The frayed knot
** Disclaimer entered here** Also I am having issues with chapter titles, they aren't getting better. I may invest in a beta or muse....
Satori did what she could to protect herself and her brother. She was terrified that she would injure herself fatally if she made the wrong move. She couldn't maneuver as well as she was used to.
"Keno!" Satori shouted as her brother went flying into the wall.
She felt something crash into the back of her head. She dropped to her knees, then felt arms yank her up. A blade was pressed up against her throat. Keno got up with the help of Raphael, while Totsu made his threats. Keno tried to get at him, to get them away from Satori.
"No! Raph, you don't understand!" Keno started
"No, Keno, please." Satori said, her eyes pleading with him. "Keno I'll be fine do not waste your life. Please, you must listen to me."
Satori had a feeling that they weren't here to kill any of them. There was something they were not saying. She didn't want to take the chances of putting Keno or Casey in any unknown danger. She knew Keno would do anything he could to prove he could fight, she didn't want him to get hurt. The door slammed open and the Foot started to file out of the apartment. She looked up.
"Casey!" Satori shouted, seeing his form at the window.
Casey Jones was running as fast as he could. Even though he and Satori didn't have the money to get cell phones, they had something much better. Donatello had a few extra communicators that he had created. Casey kept it a secret from Satori, what she didn't know would keep her safe. They had told him to hurry back to his apartment, because they had seen the Foot converging on it. It was one of his greatest fears. He didn't want them to find out where he lived, and made it a habit to take detours around New York. The turtles helped him out as well, making sure that those who were caught following ended up missing out on the vital piece of information. But somehow, the foot had found his home, his wife.
Casey turned and leaped. He was taking a shortcut home. He had been hot headed earlier. His argument with Satori ran clearly through his mind. Something about her had changed, but he couldn't place what it was. She knew what he did at night, as he knew what she did. But now, she seemed to worry even more about him than she had when they first had gotten married. It wore on her face, and he felt guilty about doing that to her.
"I'm coming Satori." He whispered to himself.
He seemed to be there in almost no time. he was racing up the fire escape, trying to be silent but swift. He heard the sounds of fighting, blood pounded in his ears. He suddenly came upon the window to the home he shared with Satori. He saw Satori and Keno backed into a corner, and fighting. Then, as if it was in slow motion, Keno flew into a wall, dazed from the hard impact. A clan member came up behind Satori and hit her at the base of her neck. Anger coursed through Casey's veins like fire. He saw her as she was yanked to her feet, he saw the flash of a blade.
"Stop or she dies!" Tinker bell grunted.
With that the blood seemed to freeze. This man, who worked for one of the baddest of the bad, had mishandled his wife. He felt anger, and something he recognized as fear. He was at the window, coming through it. He couldn't hear what was being said any longer, but it didn't seem to matter. He didn't see anything either anymore. All he saw or heard was Satori, and the pain that etched itself onto her face.
"Casey!" She shouted as she was dragged from the room.
"Oof!" Casey grunted as he was hammered in the stomach as he tried to go after them.
The clan member who had hit him, raised his staff again and hit him harder on the back of his head. Casey couldn't breath, he tried to stand, to move in any way. He saw crimson, and cursed anything he could think of under the sun. The last thing he saw as his vision cleared and he grabbed his hockey stick to fight, was Satori's face, contorted in worry and fear.
"Satori!" He shouted, falling to his knees.
yeah.... a little corny. but hey, it’s my story. tell me just how corny it is.
