Sonja

Reviewer:

Marzbar: Thank you for your reviews! I really appreciate them. I'm glad you like my stories. LOL Yes, Riley Finn is undoubtedly a dork! (I can think of a lot of other things to call him too!) I lost my muse for this story a while ago; but thankfully she has decided to return to me. I hope you like this installment!

Chapter 4. Sonja

Sonja was extremely irritated. She'd been on the force for two weeks now,and was still the subject of every male cops attention.

She would enter the break room for a coffee and interrupt conversations about who was going to shag her first. She was fed up, and ready to take action.

Her partner, Jordan King, was a quiet guy who constantly apologized for their behaviour. This also irritated Sonja. She liked him well enough; but he apologized far too much.

She was heading to the break room at that moment, she needed her coffee and she didn't care who was trying to shag her.

As she expected, there were several cops there and their conversation broke off when she entered the room.

"Hey Corvin, how about a date?" Asked one of them.

She got out a coffee cup and grabbed the pitcher of coffee. "How about I eviscerate you?" She asked calmly. She leaned back against the counter and took a sip of her coffee.

The other cops began to laugh; but the one who had asked got angry. He didn't like being not only turned down and humiliated; but also threatened in front of his friends. "You know, you are one cold bitch."

"And your point is?" She gazed at him over the rim of her cup, her hard blue eyes telling him she was not afraid in the least.

"I might just have to soften you up." His voice was dangerous and the rest of them egged him on.

Making sure he was the only one looking, Sonja let her eyes flash black. "I think it would take a lot more than you to "soften me up." She forced her eyes back to normal and turned to leave the break room.

"You might want to keep your distance, or I might just make good on that eviscerating you thing," she said over her shoulder.

The cop was left speechless, wondering what the hell he'd just seen and if he'd even seen it at all.

Sonja smiled. She'd managed to get the upper hand and if she knew cops (which she did) he'd never say a word to anyone for fear of being ridiculed.

She went back to her desk and started filling out her paperwork. It was the only thing she hated about her new job. Paperwork was a killer.

"Those assholes bugging you again Sonja?"

"It's allright Jordan. It happens to every new cop. They'll get tired of messing with me sooner or later."

"Well I hope it's sooner. They have no right to treat you like that."

Sonja nodded and made no further comment. She was not looking forward to spending the rest of her night filling out arrest reports. They'd had a busy night and the cages were full.

Later she was getting ready to leave when the cop who'd threatned her came up to her.

"I don't know what you are Corvin; but you had better watch your step."

"I know what you are," she countered with hostility. "A fucking coward who makes threats to women when he thinks that they are weaker than him, or that he can blackmail them. Well I'm telling you right now. You can't blackmail me."

"I can hurt you."

Sonja laughed out loud. "I'd really like to see that."

He angrily clenched a fist; but the captain chose that moment to walk out of his office.

"Corvin, Weiler, problem?"

"No sir," replied Sonja. "I was just leaving."

She looked into Weilers eyes and let her own go black. Her teeth shone white and sharp against her red lips. She grinned at him fiercely.

He blanched.

"Corvin go home!" Barked the Captian.

Her face morphed back to normal. "Yes sir." She smiled at him over her shoulder and left.

"Wieler, you leave that one be," the captian said when she was gone. "That one's more trouble than she's worth. You do something to her and you will bring some terrible things down on yourself. No one will be able to help you. Hell, we probably won't be able to recognize what's left of your body."

"What is she?"

"Best not to ask questions," the captain replied. "The less you know the better. I was told to keep it quiet. I thought she was too. Gonna have to have a word with her. You keep your big trap shut, you got that Wieler? You squeal about this, and I will have you in jail faster then you can say 5 to10."

Wieler paled letting the implications of the captains words sink in.

"Now get out of here. Your shift's over."

Wieler fled.

AN: Okay I'm sorry that was so short; but I'm really busy. Hopefully the next one will be longer.
