He looked at me with a mixture of confusion and pain. "I suppose you're trying to figure out why you're here like this," I said sitting in the chair backward so I could look at him. He nodded. "Blame your brothers," I said. "I decided one pirate is as wicked as the next so you're the lucky one," I said. He frowned. "You might as well have been the one who killed my family and enslaved me," I told him. Once again he frowned and shook his head. "Don't waste your energy trying to convince me otherwise captain," I said standing. I went over to my table of tricks. I picked up a rider's crop. When I turned to him his eyes went wide. I moved to stand behind him and he growled behind the gag. I struck his back with the rider's crop and his head snapped up as he tried to move away from the punishing blows. I didn't stop until his head fell forward and his shirt was stained red. I knew he'd passed out from the pain.
"Now you know I'm serious," I murmured. I moved close to him, he was more handsome then the others but that didn't make him any less dangerous… I tore open his shirt. His chest was smooth except for a couple of gunshot scars. His stomach was firm and he was bronzed by the Caribbean sun. I cupped his chin and lifted his head slightly. He moaned and opened his eyes slightly. He didn't jerk away from me; he looked down at me from where he hung. His eyes pleaded for me to have mercy on him. His eyes were dark brown and beautiful, even full of pain and fear. "You're very handsome… if only you weren't a pirate, I might actually fall in love with you," I murmured.
He furrowed his eyebrows and jerked away, turning his head away from me. He growled again from behind the gag.
I moved away from him and his head whipped back to see what I was doing. I went to my table replacing the rider's crop then I pulled my sword.
Jack panicked and began to moan and fight his restraints; I think he was sure I was going to kill him.
"I'm not going to kill you yet," I smirked.
He watched wide eyed as I moved closer to him. He closed his eyes and I could see he was bracing himself for whatever I might have on my mind. I slid the blade lightly across his stomach, "They gutted my husband right before my eyes," I said.
Jack's eyes flew open. He was trying to speak to me, he was pleading for his life.
"Then they slit my son's throat," I said putting the blade to his throat.
He put his head back slightly. He swallowed hard. I watched his Adam's apple move.
I took my sword and sliced his skin across from near his right shoulder to his stomach, nothing serious, just enough to break the skin, not enough to leave a scar.
He screamed from behind the gag and angry tears sprang to those beautiful brown eyes. I watched as his blood oozed from the wound. He let his head fall forward but his groans told me he was not unconscious. So I picked up the rider's crop and beat his back again. He went into a rage and twisted and fought like an animal. When he looked at me his eyes told me that he would kill me if he ever got the chance. I slapped his face, "You killed my husband and my child," I screamed at him. I was getting too emotional so I turned and walked back upstairs locking the door to the basement behind me.
