Will's feelings
When Will came to pick me up from work I was still holding the check that had Shadow's signature on it. This was my proof that my dream had been true. That sweet girl was Freddy's daughter. I was sure of it. It fit.
“Take a look at this,” I said getting into the van.
Even after the roll that van took a month ago near the camp it wasn't beyond repair. It had cost a lot of money but it meant so much to Will. Will raised an eyebrow taking the check from me.
“I talked to her,” I explained. “She seemed so nice. It's hard to believe she is related to that monster.”
“Maybe she isn't,” Will said handing the check back to me. “Maybe they just happen to have the same name Lori.”
“I know what I saw Will,” I said. “I know you don't want it to be true but I don't want it to be true.”
“Maybe she isn't here to take Freddy's place,” Will said. “Maybe she knows that he was crazy.”
“I don't want to believe she's here to take over where he left off,” I said. “She seemed too nice and she said that she was here because she wanted to start over. Apparently she's had a pretty sucky life and she just got over a bad marriage. We talked for a while.”
“I don't think we should worry,” he said. “I still want to keep an eye on her but I don't think we should warn people or freak out yet. She might be harmless.”
“I sure hope she is.” I whispered as Will started to drive me home.
