Chapter Three: Love Sprung From Hatred...And The Force
The Force was a fickle entity; it could bond lives together in peace or destroy it with a thousand wraths. It even bound lives together as lifemates. Zoe was about to discover as much...
Coruscant - the central hub for entertainment and crime. Though it had been the primary location for the Jedi Temple and senate, those were not the reasons for Zoe's holiday to the city-planet. Doing most everything in her power to avoid traveling to such a place, it had been the Coruscant Galactic Academy where Talena was that had drawn her there. Talena was unlike Zoe in almost every aspect: she was obnoxious, careless with her Force abilities, and self-centered. Most times when the older sibling had sent a transmission to her sister, Talena was out beyond curfew at one of those nightclubs. How she remained a student at the prospective academy was a mystery. Ambling into the Massassi Club, having heard this was where Talena had been, a tremor rippled through the Force as Zoe stood within the foyer. Cement crumbling, bodies laid to waste, and a stand off between what look like a Sith and a mercenary and a Jedi Padawan and a peculiar looking female. Having no interest in the situation, despite having been a newly elected Knight of the Jedi Order, Zoe felt the obligation to protect the padawan and take him to safety. This was easier said than done.
Arguing - that's all that seemed to have been accomplished other than the woman in question fleeing from one nightclub to another. It had ended in a stalemate with some other unknown entity kidnapping the female and hauling her to Sol knew where; relieved that it had ended, Zoe hadn't been fond of the entire "capture-prosecute-paperwork" scenario that would have ensued had she actually caught the woman. Sending the padawan back along his way to Naboo where he belonged, Zoe had promised to keep the incident a secret. She would have been made a liar if she hadn't been moved by his reason for disobeying the rules set upon the Padawans; after all, he had been searching for the murderer of his father and believed that woman might have known something. The Jedi Knight didn't have the heart to turn him in for disciplinary action.
The night breeze was cool reminding her of the sanctuary of Ziost for only a moment, then the moment was gone. Ambling through an alleyway, the accompanying noise of an extra set of footsteps rung almost louder than the city's usual noise. Without much warning, the young Jedi had been slammed into a nearby bricked wall, a hand firmly clutching to her neck. Flame-esque orbs bore into her azure pair, the reek of darkness and hatred radiating from the man; remaining emotionless, Zoe offered only a stoic gaze back onto him. Drawing forth the hilt of her lightsaber, the blade end was soon pitted into the groin of the Dark Lord, the young Marzullo's thumb grazing the ignition button.
"Remove yourself from me at once or I will not hesitate to dissect you."
"You're a feisty one, aren't you."
Heeding the warning from the Jedi, Darth Octavian removed his clutch, but remained in the same position before her. Any quick movement that may project as though the Sith were ready to attack, Milamber might as well say goodbye to existence. Something stirred deep within, the Force surging through his corporeal form as if trying to tell the Darksider a secret; Octavian continued peering into those azure eyes and was soon spellbound by the beauty before him. For whatever reason, Zoe had been seen as beautiful...fiery and unruly by Jedi standards, but breathtaking nonetheless. Milamber had to have her...
