Battle
Chapter 4
The feeling she had earlier was right. They were going into battle. She wondered if he expected her to fight or not. She looked around to see if he was there, but he was no where in sight. She went up to the guards.
“Where is Grievous?” she asked them.
“He is training and does not want to be disturbed.” answered one.
“Well, I’m just going to go take a walk.” she said to them, but they wouldn’t let her through.
“The general commanded us to keep you in here.” said the other.
She then remembered Obi Wan. She felt a bit angry that Grievous was more interested in killing him than being with her. If Grievous was supposed to unleash her power, then why was he doing nothing to help it? Phen wanted him to be with her instead of wasting his time with revenge, wanted him to be only hers. Then she noticed that she was sounding jealous. Why would she want to be right next to him all the time if she at times feared him? Her dreams were making her feel new emotions, even jealousy. She thought what other emotions her dreams would bring, but stopped thinking about it for she might think of something she wouldn’t want to think of. She then thought of escape. She could make it past the guards, a little fib would work. She then had to make sure that she didn’t run into Grievous and have a good hiding spot. So, she walked up to the guards.
“I need to go and train with him now. He told me to train with him when we were on the ship.” she lied, but they just stared at her.
“If you don’t let me out, he’ll get mad and you don’t want him mad at you just because you wouldn’t let me go and train do you?” she said.
The guards looked at each other, then opened the door. She walked out and when the door closed, she started running. She decided to stay away from where she went last time. She found a room that was a floor above the exit and opened the door. She locked the door and sat down. She didn’t want to sleep just in case somebody came to the room she was in. She looked for a light switch and finally found one. She turned it on and found that she was nothing but an empty room. It was the perfect place to hide. She turned off the lights and waited for them to land. Strangely, she didn’t have to wait long and she got ready to run just in case anyone came in. She waited for a while and got tired of it, so she got out of the room, sure that Grievous was out there on the battle field. She went for an exit and looked out to see the battle. She saw many trying to fight Grievous with lightsabers. They were far away, but she could easily tell where he was. She went to go help him while concentrating on using her powers for battle. Then, she was engulfed in blue fire. She stopped and looked at her body. She had fur on her forehead that looked like three big bangs that narrowed into points at the bottom and the tips of them were slightly in her eye sight. She had a long blue tail and her legs seemed to be like a dogs except that she was standing on two. She also had two big claws coming out of both her heels. She could also extend her blue tongue out five feet and have eight sharp teeth come out of the tip. She assumed she probably looked like a dog, or more of a wolf. She started running towards the battle with great speed. She was like a blur when she hit the battlers, clones and droids, and she kept running until she got to Grievous. When she finally got to him, she immediately attacked one of his attackers by jumping and clamping on his throat. Grievous started to spin the lightsabers around his body and it barely missed her because the man fell when she attacked him. She quickly bit off his head and spat out the remains, but didn’t care that she had blood all over her snout. She was in the heat of battle and wanted another victim. Now that the Jedi saw that she was attacking them, they began attacking her as well. She took her victims’ lightsaber and turned it on. The second she turned it on, she started slashing and killed another Jedi. Taking the other fallen ones’ lightsaber, she became more deadly. She then killed all the Jedi that were attacking her, leaving three more lightsabers without a master. She turned to Grievous and just that moment, Mace Windu used the Force and crushed Grievous’ chest. She got angry and attacked Mace. He saw her coming and blocked the first attack. She began to attack with all her anger as fuel for power. He used the Force and her lightsabers were blown behind her, and making her fall. She twisted around and landed on her hands and feet. Mace was about to kill her when she twisted back around, lunged, and had his neck in her deadly, bloody jaws. He struck her with his lightsaber, but it didn’t slice her, not even a burn. She made sure she suffocated him then bit his head off for hurting her master. Grievous saw Obi Wan coming from the corner of his eye and decided he would have his revenge then and there. When he was close enough, with all his strength, he cut off Obi Wans’ legs, then sliced off his head. When he looked back at Mace, Phen was already up near his own face, Mace already decapitated. Her eyes were no longer angry, but sympathetic, and her snout was no longer bloody. She put her hands near his chest and they began to glow blue. He knew then that it was Phen. When she healed his chest, she put her hands on his mouth part and released the energy as she did before, but while doing this, she gave him a passionate kiss then let go. The fire engulfed her and she was back to being human. She fainted and fell forward, leaning on his chest. The battle was over now that all the Jedi there were dead, and the clones everywhere were now with the dark side. He picked her whole body up gently with both hands, carrying her back to the ship. He didn’t know why she kissed him, and wondered if it was out of love or sympathy. She had no dream, just a quiet sleep. When she woke up, she remembered nothing of the battle. She was watched by the droids as they took her to the general. For some reason, they weren’t going to the control room, but the training rooms. She went into the room and walked over to Grievous whom was sitting on the floor in deep thought. When she was close to him she stopped.
“Sit.” he commanded, rather calmly.
She sat and waited for a punishment for trying to escape again.
“Who taught you how to use a lightsaber?” he asked.
She looked up, surprised she wasn’t going to be punished, but gave him a confused look because of the question.
“Um. When did I ever fight with a lightsaber?” she asked back.
He looked at her.
“In the battle today.” he said.
She just stared at him with a confused look.
“Do you not remember?” he asked.
She nodded her head no, still looking confused. He wondered if she was joking, but her expression said it all.
“Then I shall teach you now.” he said while getting up.
They trained for hours and Phen picked up how to fight with it very quickly, just as he had when he first trained. He had her kept in the control room while he reported all the news to Sidious. The dark master seemed very pleased with the power that was unleashed. When Grievous got back to the computer room, he found Phen asleep. He then started to think about the kiss. Even though he was 95% droid himself, having that kiss had him have strange feelings around her, feelings he didn’t understand. He began to think it was out of sympathy, until he remembered the way she smiled at him. Such a passionate smile. He then knew it WAS love. He was glad she forgot, but then it made him wonder, why did she love him and when did she start?
