Chapter IV

Chapter IV

She’bach was a tall, of average build Yautja with extraordinary mental intellect. He often gave his opinion on decisions that affected the clan when Meh’gah asked for it. His prowess in the medical field was legendary though he never had a student until Santana. He had never lost a patient until the death of his four-day-old daughter. That loss hit he and Janvee hard, but Santana’s arrival healed them both; and now he had made a decision to give her away.

The doors to Loki’s room slid open and She’bach walked inside.

Loki looked up from his breakfast and smiled. “She’bach you can join me for breakfast.”

The healer looked down at the table and saw all the high in fat foods before the Elder. “You need a more nutritious foods Loki, you do not need more weight.”

Loki looked at the table of food. “This is good.”

“I said nutritious.”

Loki growled. “I can have one day where you do not control what I eat.”

She’bach stared at him for a while. Loki’s two bodyguards watched the Elder give in under the stare of She’bach and the servers in the room returned the original breakfast that She’bach had ordered for him.

The doors opened again and the General Aid’ian walked inside and nodded to the Elder and She’bach.

“Aid’ian, She’bach has found a solution to your problem.”

“Santana is an excellent student and she will be my replacement.”

Though Aid’ian was excited at the prospect of having Santana away from the others, he wanted She’bach to know what to expect.

“You know this is a two night exercise away from the ship.”

She’bach nodded.

Loki chuckled. “If he can not go on without her, I’ll send Brevac in her stead.”

She’bach snorted. “I will be fine” He turned back to Aid’ian. “I have packed some extra clothing for her and have already put it on the ship.”

Loki looked at the Healer. “You packed it.”

“Janvee was sick, and she told me what to pack.”

Loki smiled. “She would not be sick all the time if you were not trying to plant your seed so much; she is already pregnant She’bach.”

The Healer looked at Loki for a moment then turned back to Aid’ian.

“There are other clan’s on Mea; they will see her as unattached.”

”Are you not General Aid’ian, My Warrior?” Loki said setting down his water.

Aid’ian lowered his head. “Yes Elder I am.”

She’bach smiled all be it briefly; Loki had a way of getting the worse out of Aid’ian; all for the good of the clan.

“I will defend her against every threat.”

“This She’bach knows; that is why he has no worries of sending his only daughter with you Aid’ian.”

Aid’ian raised his head and She’bach nodded at him. Santana would see the side of him he did not want her to see.

“What of Tro’net?”

Aid’ian stood his full height and looked at the Elder. “He will be accompanying me to Mea; he claims he has some skill.”

“Meh’gah has received transmission from Elder Tarnish; he said if his son should meet with an unfortunate accident he would not fret over it.”

Aid’ian grunted. “I will keep that in my thoughts.”

Loki nodded. “I shall meet you all in the small Hall.”

Aid’ian nodded and departed the chamber.

The day could not be any better for Nola; she slept with a smile on her face last night thinking of all the good fortune to come. She rose with joy in her heart and a dance in her step as she prepared for her bath.

Her greatest competition for Aid’ian was no longer competition.

Nola giggled as she washed her hair. “I wonder what Aid’ian’s favorite color is?”

She pondered this for a moment before rinsing her hair and body, then walking up the steps and out of the bath.

Once dry and dressed, Nola stood in front of the mirror practicing what she would say hearing of Santana’s rape. Everyone knew of Pria’ne’s lust for Santana; everytime she was near him you could smell it. Most males could control this but Pria’ne could not. It took some convincing on her part to get him to go to the Archives. He feared the punishment; but Nola told him that Jeri would hold Santana until after dinner and then he could come and take her. He agreed.

Aid’ian will look elsewhere for a mate rather than stay with the damaged Santana devastated by rape.

Nola gasped. “What… Santana was hurt... by whom?”

She smiled and continued brushing her hair. Her father asked for her assistance this morning and she would give one of her greatest performances. Aid’ian would be there and she had chosen a very revealing dress, advertising her willingness to mate.

She smoothed the tight green fabric over her curves. Aid’ian will notice her today. The fabric was open by her legs and her breasts were easy to see; yes, he will notice her today.

Nola satisfied with her hair walked from her room and towards the room at the end of the hallway. She smiled at the guards standing before the door. They never looked at her, and they were not looking at her now. It did not matter, they were not important.

The doors opened and every head turned towards her; and just as quickly, turned away. Nola did not let that bother her; it was always dim in this hall. No matter the level of light, she could see Tro’net standing beside Ron’zen.

Tro’net was the type of Yautja not even Bad Bloods wanted to be around or his own father. Elder Tarnish was a well-respected Yautja and his son was a disappointment that he did not wish to be around anymore. His mate Reg’ji, Tro’net‘s mother was the only reason he still lived. Tro’net knew of his father’s good standing with the other clans and sought refuge with them on a regular basis. He knew they would not turn him away because of his father and he used that position and used it to its fullest power.

The moment his ship set down in the landing bay of ship Kadesa, the General Aid’ian, known throughout the clans, also respected, and feared stood at the bottom of the ramp of his fighter.

Tro’net and his three friends or bodyguards, Breeker, Iger, and Leedo all growled at the Warrior General standing there with his arms crossed. Tro’net saw the three officers standing slightly to the left of Aid’ian and smiled.

“A welcoming party, General I did not know you cared.”

Aid’ian remained silent and stood his ground when the equal in height Tro’net came inches from touching him.

“Think carefully Tro’net, I am not like those others you have encountered. I will personally put you back in your place if you disrupt my ship.”

Tro’net snarled. “My place is where ever I wish it to be.”

Aid’ian stepped closer; Tro’net stepped back. He heard the rumors of Aid’ian ripping out the throat of a Captain from another clan that sent his army to death during a battle with a rival. The Captain’s Elder ordered his execution and Aid’ian carried it out.

“Your…. place is where I say it is.”

Ron’zen began smiling. He knew there was some reason he liked the General.

“If there is any incident that you are apart of or that I think you are apart of, I will escort you to your ship for departure.”

That was last night when Tro’net arrived and he was still angry when he woke this morning. He looked at Nola as she lowered her head to her father in a show of mock respect.

Pi’tre grunted looking at the door. “It is not like Santana to be late.”

Cri prepared to leave and retrieve her. Aid’ian stopped him. “I will see what is keeping her.”

Elder Loki nodded as Aid’ian departed.

Maybe Santana was in pain from the loss of her innocence; Nola smothered her giggle. Tro’net crinkled his brow at Nola. He could not see her face through her dark hair.

“Are you trying to impress some doomed soul?” He clicked softly.

“It is certainly not you Tro’net. “ The return came from the dark curtain of hair.

Tro’net chuckled. “Of course not, I expect my females to be beautiful and kind of which you are neither.”

Nola kept her head lowered as she returned his barb.” I hope you do not cause any incidents and have your stay cut short Tro’net.”

The growl from Tro’net was low but deadly. “You would not do such a thing.”

Nola smiled. She would do whatever she needed to keep their history secret from everyone especially Aid’ian.

Santana gripped onto the sheets smothering her scream by grimacing, the cramp in her right calf was excruciating. She pointed her toes upwards trying to stretch the muscle and get it to relax. She fell back onto the bed arching her back and a small cry escaped her lips. Santana did not think it was that loud, but Aid’ian walked into her room and immediately began massaging her right calf.

It hurt at first and she turned her head away trying not to scream at him to stop. Slowly under his strong hands, the muscle began to relax and he heard a soft sigh from her. She released the sheets and laid her hands on her bare stomach. Aid’ian leaned down on his left elbow beside her head.

She slowly opened her eyes feeling the shift of the bed. She stared into the light blue eyes of the General. Aid’ian laid his right hand on her exposed thigh and then looked down and noticed what she was wearing.

“Let’s test it.” He said eager to see her in the midnight blue fabric. Aid’ian slowly moved away and Santana sat up and then stood.

He noticed her hair was loose and he liked it a lot. The fabric tied under her abundant breasts and his eyes lingered there, and then slowly ran down her bare stomach, then to the light fabric clinging to her hips and down to her ankles. Aid’ian moved closer to her staring down at the beauty before him.

The communicator clicked. Aid’ian did not break his eye contact from her as he answered Cri. Santana tried to slow her breathing but it was no use. She did not remember how they got outside the room and began walking down the hall towards some destination only Aid’ian knew; and he was walking behind her.

Suddenly he turned her around and placed her against the wall. His hard body crushed against hers. Santana breathing was chaotic. Aid’ian lowered his lips to her ear.

“We are going to the small hall.”

She nodded as her body trembled as it did in her dream about Aid’ian last night.

Aid’ian raked her hair from her face. “Why are you trembling?”

Santana looked up at him with darkened eyes. “I …”

The communicator came on and Cri’s voice telling Aid’ian Meh’gah was in the small hall waiting for them. Aid’ian answered and slowly pulled away from Santana. “You know I am to go to Mea for two days.”

Santana still rested against the wall as she nodded. “She’bach can not attend and said that you will replace him.”

Santana began smiling at him. “He is going to let me leave … the ship.”

“Yes”

Santana carefully walked away from the wall. “Does he know it is for two days?”

Aid’ian got very close to her face. “He knows I will protect you from all threats.”

Santana stared up into his blues. “I know that.” Her voice was soft.

Aid’ian moved closer to her and grazed her lips with his. Santana’s gasped as a tingling sensation began in the pit of her stomach.

“Meh’gah hates to wait.”

Elder Meh’gah crinkled his brow at Tro’net as he kneeled before him along with Nola.

“You can leave her here while you have talks with Pioz.”

Loki weighed his options. Nola was praying he let her go. Cri and Pi’tre were praying she did not.

“She has never been there; I think I will take her with me.” Nola smiled under the curtain of dark hair.

The door slid open and Aid’ian walked in with Santana. Meh’gah’s anger at waiting vanished. He could see why Aid’ian delayed.

Tro’net turned to see the female bowing to Meh’gah as he approached her. “I am not sure this is the same screaming sack of bones that She’bach brought home.”

Santana smiled. “You sound like Elder Loki.”

Loki grunted. “You were screeching.”

Meh’gah waved his hand at Loki. “Do not let him annoy you on this trip to Mea.”

Santana nodded at the Elder. Meh’gah turned to Aid’ian.

“Even though she is there to help you Aid’ian let her explore with you at her side.”

“Yes Elder.”

Meh’gah smiled. “You explore also.”

Aid’ian’s gaze went to Santana for a moment then back to the elder and he nodded.

Loki growled at Nola watching the General. “Go and prepare yourself.”

Nola nodded, stood, and looked at Santana staring back at her as she walked towards her. Cri and Pi’tre saw Santana’s eyes begin to darken as Nola approached. Santana grabbed her arm in a vise grip.

“Do you require any help Nola?”

Nola held her scream and smiled instead. “That is not needed.” Santana smiled.

Aid’ian’s presence behind her made Santana release Nola and she walked towards the door holding her arm. “Perhaps once we reach Mea we can talk about things.”

Nola looked back at her. “Maybe we can.” She walked out the door. Santana looked up, saw Meh’gah staring at her, and lowered her head.

Loki chuckled softly. He watched the General the entire time; he had chosen himself a mate. The blatant sweeps of his eyes over Santana’s body told Loki that much would happen in Mea.

Tro’net stared at the erotic creature being docile now. She was the kind of mate he needed to regain his father’s love, the daughter of She’bach. He slowly scanned her body and his eyes ran into light blues that were slowly darkening. Tro’net turned away.

Aid’ian continued to stare at him.

Elder Tarnish’s request of an unfortunate accident coming to his son may come to fruition.
