CHAPTER IV- THE MARKING
CHAPTER IV- THE MARKING
Outside
“Ready!”
“Jesus girl you startled me… whow… look at you Ang, and to think that you didn’t wanna go out, look at you!! You look stunning Girl! Never saw this side of you!!!”
“It’s the night girl, it brings out the devil in me!” Ang said laughing, both girls laughed out loud.
“Watch out ladies here we come!!!” Cass said holding her friends arm and they start walking to get a cab.
After an almost 30 minute drive, they got to an old building all lit up by the neon lights.
“This is it ?” Ang asked looking at her friend
“It sure looks like it, lets go” She said moving out of the cab with Ang.
“Jesus it’s beautiful…what’s the name?”
“Cathedral” Cass replied
“Of course…” Ang smiled looking at the huge construct in front of her, and old XVIII century abandoned cathedral. All around them were people just arriving, all strange, dressed in black, mostly gothic, some bangers, and some normal casually dressed people. They couldn’t hear what was playing inside but the vibration on the ground around the building was quite an invitation. As they got closer they felt the pumping sound right between her ears.
“Let’s go in…” Cass held Ang arm and pulled her to the entrance, and they went in.
She didn't recognise what they were playing, but the sight of the whole place from the inside was too much for her to care about it.
“Whow…. How beautiful can this get” Ang looked around, candles every where, all shapes and sizes, coloured, black, white, the inside of the cathedral was kept original, angels, saints everywhere, walls in sandy coloured stone. The altar was the DJ table and the deco was definitely her type. The music wasn’t loud enough to damage the ancient structure, nor low enough to keep anyone still.
“God Ang... This is beautiful!” Cass said, mouth opened and overwhelmed.
“Sure is Cass” The girls moved around the crowd, Ang loosened her coat, it looked like a cape as she moved gracefully trough the crowd, some people here and there looked at her with hungry and lustful eyes.
“Girl… you’re making an impression all dressed up like that… if vampires existed, I would say you’d be one” Cass said laughing loud. Ang looked at her through the corner of her eye and grins. “Jezz girl don’t look at me like that… Thank the Lord they don’t exist and you’re not one!!! Ang laughed, she had given Cass a menacing look over her shoulder, just playing along the vampire character style and it worked.

“A lot of prey here tonight!!!” Reihn said laughing.
“Yah… hey C …what’s up man?” Danz asked looking at the tall blond man that was leaning on one of the columns of the upper balcony. The man sniffed the air.
“Hum…” he sighed and sniffed again, looking at the crowd. “She’s here!”
“Who C?”
“The girl from this afternoon” He said looking all around, going downstairs, tracking her scent. Danz followed him. As they moved through the crowd her sent got heavier. She was closer. Suddenly they stopped to take a look and there she was dancing gracefully, and his jaw dropped open wide.
“Jesus… is that the woman from this afternoon C! She is a sight”
He just stood there mouth opened, looking at her, gracefully dancing to the sound of the music, some strands of hair that had gotten loose form her pony tail were covering her face, and her eyes were closed; as the beat rose she waved her body to the sound of it, twisting on her feet making her red blooded coat fly around her, embracing her, she suddenly turned her face to their direction opening her eyes, and both man grabbed the table next to them, as if trying not to loose their balance as her stare stroke them.
“Fuck… she is a vision!”
“Yeah…she is Danz”
“You know what will happen if she stays here bro?”
Suddenly reality hit him like thunder, this was a vampire pit, a feeding ground, and she was doomed if she stayed unless…
“C… where are you going…” The blond man moved swiftly, hovering over the ground, not letting her see him, he swiftly passed by her, the movement was all to fast for human eyes, all she felt was a breeze, and stopped breathless as she felt a burn into the left side of her neck.
“Shit!!”
“What?” Cass yells over the music
“I don’t know, I just felt a burn in my neck, I couldn’t breathe…”Ang yelled back so Cass could hear over the music.
Another breeze came by them….
“Leeeaaaave this place…” hissed in the breeze.
“Did you hear that Cass? “ Ang said looking at her friend.
“Hear what?” Cass asked confused.
“The voi…” She stopped realizing she was the only one that heard it, suddenly she touched her neck and felt her skin was burned… “What the hell?! Cass …” She yelled at her friend “We should leave!”
“What?! …why!?”
“Cass I’m not feeling ok! Can we please just leave?” Ang said looking around studying the place.
Not far from there. The two men waited.
“Do you think she’ll find something out Chup!”
“I don’t know Danz… there is something about her that is different from everyone here, even from us, but she is smart though, they are leaving”
“Hey Chupa!!! Man long time no see!” The two men turned their heads around.
“Hey Thanzer, how are you bro…” Danz shook his hand, the tall blond man, Chupa, just nodded and looked at the girls leaving and followed them.
“Hey Chupa, where are you going?”
“Just want to make sure they get out of here safe!” Be right Back Danz!”
Chupa looked around; feeding time was starting in a few.
Outside
“Ang WHAT’S UP!!!”
“Shhhh...Cass don’t need to scream anymore, we’re outside remember”
“Sorry…are you ok?”
“Ya… I am …Now! Jesus I couldn’t breathe in there….”
Chupa looked at them outside. He held out his hand and waved it to her. She was taken by another wave of breeze and gasped breathless…
“Not safe …leeeeaaaave!” hissed again around her.
“Fuck… don’t tell me you didn’t hear that too!” Ang said catching her breath. Cass shrugged her shoulders. Ang looked around, narrowed her vision to the cathedral, held Cass’s hand and pulled her away. “Come on. I do not like this! I have a gut feeling this place is not safe ...let’s go NOW!!!!”
Both girls started to run down the road to get a cab. They walked around for 5 minutes until they got to the main street and got a cab. Ang kept looking back all the time with the feeling that they were being followed, but she didn’t felt fear or harm.
They went home in silence, Cass was left home first, and as she left the cab she looked at Ang.
“Sorry!”
“That’s ok, well talk tomorrow, and sleep well”
The cab drove Ang home. She was to worn out and just jumped on the bed with her clothes on and everything and just drifted to sleep. A shadow moved on her room’s balcony and looked upon her sleeping body.
“How beautiful…too beautiful to be damned…”

OK ... I see HITS on my story but can't really tell if anyone is reading it... I don't know if the story has been interesting or not...if I should continue posting... please review so I can know if it's worth posting any other chapters!!
